I have to be honest this was not the smoothest work to be carried out on my car but to be honest it was the supplier of the parts that made the team at Oxford look like idiots and after taking my car back morning after work had started the branch manager was excellent and very apologetic and understanding,so credit where credit is due ! Just don't bother!! Appalling service, absolutely no customer care. I booked to have an MOT Saturday 16th November at 11.50am this is the nearest garage I can use regarding my Halfords membership benefits ie free MOT, This is 7.8 miles from where I live, due to traffic congestion in the area surrounding the garage I arrived 9 minutes late, for which I apologised immediately, I was told they could not do the MOT as they now didn't have time! I appreciate you should arrive on time for appointments but this was 9 minutes, the garage was not busy, not a single machanic was actually working on vehicles, all were congregated in the room by the reception on their phones chatting, there were no customers waiting either. I told them my mot expired the following day and that I'm a carer but they didn't care at all. I have now spent money on petrol and paid out for an mot at another garage. This is not my first bad experience at this garage.... Obviously should have learned from the previous visit when there was no tyre fitter to fit the tyres I ordered, paid for and booked in!!

I had an MOT booked in Oxford branch, I left an hour before time but on the way about 25 mins away there was an accident and traffic was at a stand still. I called to let them know I may be a bit late but was told they will cancel my appointment. I said I should be there only 5 or 10 minutes late they still said no and slammed the phone down on me.

Excellent service and customer care, cannot praise high enough. National tyres, if you read these reviews please say a massive thanks to Steve at the counter and Shaun the tyre fitter at the Abingdon Road centre. Both are a credit to your company.

Just got my car back with an MOT failure on brakes , apparently a leak. It wasn't like it when I dropped it off. Driving it home (admitedly against your advice) the Brake warning light now comes on and the pedal goes to the floor slowly. Again it WASN'T like it when I dropped it off with you, the brakes have been fine since I've had it now it b*ggered ! ! It seems that in testing my brakes you have ruptured a break pipe . Dropped it in at my local garage to fix your handiwork and they say that apparently you and Halfords are renowned for this !

My recent visit to National Tyres and Autocare, a Halfords company, left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I took my car in for two new front tires and requested tracking to be done. While the tire change was completed without issue, I was informed that the tracking couldn't be done due to my car's tracking rod ends being "seized."

Feeling skeptical, I decided to seek a second opinion and took my car down the road to Buzy Bees. To my surprise, they efficiently performed the tracking in just 20 minutes with no mention of any seized components. This stark contrast leads me to believe that National Tyres and Autocare either lacked the expertise or integrity to properly diagnose my car's issue.

To add insult to injury, National Tyres and Autocare attempted to quote me an exorbitant £400 to replace the track rod ends, a diagnosis that Buzy Bees did not even find necessary.

I urge fellow motorists to exercise caution and avoid National Tyres and Autocare. My experience highlights a concerning lack of honesty and competence, which is unacceptable when it comes to vehicle maintenance and customer trust.

I had 4 new tyres fitted at a different branch last weekend while up at my parents place in the Midlands. One of the tyres kept going flat every day. I rang them in Oxford asking if they could take a look.
Steve and all the staff were great, let me drop in the morning and couldn't have been more helpful.
Everyone was knowledge and nice, they sorted the issue with the alloy and I was home within less than an hour of leaving.
Would totally recommend and will be back next time I need anything doing.

Due to get replacement tyres today at 0930, national tyres called me 1 hours before and told me they had cancelled my appointment because their ONE machine for tyre changing was broken? ONE MACHINE ! They wanted to rearrange for next week but I am driving to France this weekend for a holiday. Now I have try to get new tyres before the weekend as well as taking time off work again. Totally let down by national tyres and have to wait at least 5 days for a refund of nearly 600 pounds. Very disappointing.

Very professional and friendly staff members. Brought my car in for new tyres and alignment, booking was a drop off appointment and this was made clear online when booking. When I dropped my car off it was clear they were extremely busy but this didn’t impact the service they provided at all, I was told an estimated time my car would be ready, and my car was actually ready quicker than this estimate. Both the gentleman who greeted me at reception and the gentleman who completed the work on my vehicle were extremely professional and friendly. Work has been carried out to a high standard. Thank you I will definitely return.

Ryan, the store manager for the Oxford branch, was absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately things with my booking did not go as planned which was a real problem as I had a wedding to attend. The whole team at the Oxford branch went out of their way to get me sorted and back on the road!

Really happy and the customer service is the reason I always come here for tyres.

Stranded in Oxford with a punctured run flat tyre, the
Abingdon Road receptionist talked me through wat to do to get a tyre in and get the booking in their calendar. All was done online after the call. Very straight forward as long as you know exactly which tyre you want.

Get out! Read the one-star reviews and trust them, they are true. In this unit they are very rude, they just don't care about you and if you need the service that was scheduled in advance, they cancel after you have already delivered the vehicle, go back there and get your vehicle, and you can make do with it the service you need! Your problem! Run away!

I'm the guy who fell into the trap of booking in advance, paying in advance, delivering the vehicle at the scheduled time and expecting his vehicle's oil change service to be performed as expected on the last 24th of May, National on Abingdon Road from Oxford . Two hours after I delivered the vehicle, I received a call to pick up the vehicle, saying that the service would no longer be done, due to a lack of staff... what do you mean... . Since I was innocent, if I had only read the true comments on the service evaluation sites for this unit, I would have understood the move and certainly chosen another place, with that I would not have lost days of work (I use the vehicle to work) and have the my money paid in advance still held with National for five days, so far no refund. When are you going to pay me? Just a note, the real reviews are the one star, over and over the same issues I had, of course, I won't have any more.

Arrived at 1030 Am for two tyres changing , was told that’s a drop off time it will take two hours , I agreed to come back at 1200 and they would do my tires then . Unfortunately I had to sit around until 1300 for them to tell me it would be another hour . I cancelled my order I went elsewhere for my tyres . Staff were not happy , far too much work to do , I’ve never experienced such service .
However the girl behind reception was helpful and understanding and looked very stressed .
