Arrived at Halfords Rochdale for a bike repair. I was served by Danny, he attended to the bike quickly and it was obvious he was very experienced. He fixed the brakes in minutes, he was lovely to deal with and a credit to the Halfords Team. Thank you again Danny, great service with a smile. When I next need to buy a bike or see to a repair, I know where I am going!

After paying £285 for a full service…
After paying £285 for a full service (VW Passat 2013) they quoted £540 for 1 brake disc, pads and caliper. £825 in total; after consulting my cardiologist, I rang my local mechanic who was happy to do the same job for £220 (£320 cheaper). The only reason I considered National Tyres was due to their ClearPay service (monthly instalments) and ... well, I wasn't paying £320 more for the privilege! I scrapped enough to have it done locally. They seem to have customers who are quite happy to pay these prices but this is crazy money in today's financial climate. The person on the phone tried to dissuade me from ringing local garages, I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that. Personally, I will be staying with my local mechanic.

Pathetic customer care
Pathetic customer care, booked my car in for tracking at 11am two days before taking it, then when I arrived they tell me it’s going to be two hours before they can do it, total waste of time, joining Halfords group was a mistake if that’s how there going to run it, had no problem before when it was just national tyres, they’ve lost my custom now.

Booked an appointment for Monday…
Booked an appointment for Monday 20/3/23 for 1pm slot for 4 tyres and tracking.
Turned up at 12.45 to be told it would be at least 2/2.5 hours wait, I eventually got the car back at 3.15
This is unacceptable when booking a slot when you are waiting and not dropping your car off to come back
