In the last month I have taken 3 of my vehicles into Autocare Tiverton and they have been so helpful. The guy on reception was brilliant and although stressed on a Friday afternoon and a busy garage he took my vehicle and worked on it quickly as he knew I had frozen food shopping in the back. They were running late but I arrived for my booking and was swiftly seen to.
Can’t fault these guys and I would recommend to anyone. The Halfords website isn’t easy to navigate but a quick call to them and they talked me through what I was asking for.

A huge thank you for looking at my car at gone 5.30 pm when I pulled in with what sounded like my exhaust dragging on the floor. Problem sorted - not the exhaust but stones and debris caught under the engine. Fantastic service and wonderful staff. Not the first time I've used them and always 110%. Highly recommend.

Great service from the Tiverton depot today. Honesty, great service, friendly staff, knowledgeable, ensured that the car interior was kept clean.

These guys are a ripoff
These guys are a ripoff, that's for sure.
The other half used a Halfords voucher for a free MOT but they failed the car on a fractured spring.
With the car now with them the other half felt pressured like she had no choice but to go ahead as car was with them and now with a failed MOT, unsafe to drive away to somewhere else.
Over £400 to replace a spring, they haven't listed labour time and they said shock needed replacing too but this would take the cost up to over £500...she had to callback to confirm that this would be for 2 front shocks, no just 1!
It is very bad practice to change just one front shock, they should be changed as a pair.
Never, ever using again, use a proper garage from now on
Made a booking through Halfords for…
Made a booking through Halfords for 11.30. Got a call from National Tyres at Tiverton saying they can’t do 1.30. Then when I got there they asked what I wanted doing. They could not swap front tyres to the back without an extra £20 charge and blamed Halfords. They were more than happy for me to cancel and refund £184 for two tyres rather then give a reasonable and professional service. Avoid.

I placed an order on line for my tyres to be installed here. I was warmly welcomed by the lovely lady on the counter. The guys who put my 4 tyres on were great. Complimented me on my car. They were speedy and very welcoming. Whole heartedly recommend.

Booked an MOT well in advance. Took the day off work to take it. Turned up and National had cancelled the appointment due to a "technivcal issue", and had not bothered to contact me. Booked on line so they had both my mobile number and email address. To add insult to injury, on returning home had an email asking me to rebook!! Apaulling customer service.

Yet again another bad experience here. Taken my mother's car for an mot it was tested and failed on a front coil spring, they changed this and got it through the mot, I collected the car and drove it home when arriving home the car was knocking badly coming from the same side the spring was changed I opened the bonnet and the top mount was not even done up! This is very concerning and how did the car get retested and that not noticed? This is not the first time the staff there have left something so dangerous

A really bad experience at Tiverton…
A really bad experience at Tiverton Branch. I ordered tyres online with a specific fitting date. I asked if during fitting they could swap the front and rear tyres, but they said it would cost £60+vat and could take an hour! They also said it wasn't allowed because of the TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring) as the valves have to be left in original position. Complete lack of knowledge by staff as my car has TPMS measured by the ABS not valves. Finally after waiting for 30 mins with no sign of action I left to walk round town, and after yet another 30 mins wasted they called to say they hadn't even got the tyres! I wasted half a day and over 30 miles round trip. I messaged customer services and guess what no reply from this pathetic company. Everything is too much trouble. I then used a different company and the tyres were ready and they switched front and back around with no charge. (It took about 5 mins), what a difference. I've learnt my lesson but National obviously haven't as they didn't even reply.
UPDATE: So I sent a detailed complaint to Halfords 1 month ago, and then again a week ago. I have had no reply whatsoever from them, except a response to TrustPilot which was a cut and paste send further details and we will investigate. No contact details were given surprisingly. Then today I receive an email saying "We hope this was resolved". The customer services team at Halfords (if there is one) were obviously on the same training course as the depot at Tiverton, where customers are just a nuisance and are very low in the pecking order. Well done everyone for managing to permanently lose customers.

Huge thanks to Georgia, Rowan and their team!
Booked my daughter's car in for MOT and full service with Rowan. I mentioned a specific date and time because my daughter lives away and was only staying with me for a few days. Rowan was exceptionally understanding and accommodating, he got the car booked in on the exact day and time that suited us best.
On the day, everything ran smoothly and we went to collect the car where I was greeted by Georgia. As there was an advisory for a set of new tyres on the car, Georgia recommended that I order online and book the car back in for the tyre fitting. I went home and did this, again, getting the day and time that suited us perfectly.
I wondered if I had bought the right size tyres so I went back into the branch before our appointment time to check with Georgia. She was brilliant! Checked the existing tyres against my order and reassured me that I had ordered the correct tyres.
After the tyres were fitted, I got an email to tell me the car is ready to collect. I called Georgia who again, as always, was lovely and assured me that the car is ready and she has issued a £5 discount.
I couldn't be more satisfied with the service we recieved and will definately go back and highly recommend this branch to family and friends.
Georgia and Rowan are extremely efficient, professional and run the place so well. If they weren't there, I would probably go elsewhere because prior to these two being there, I haven't had positive experiences at this branch.

Have been using this company for over 14 years. They are always very helpful and always happy to check tyre pressures. Always have my MOT done here. Georgia on reception is always happy and smiling and helped me to use the app to order a tyre as not great with tech. Thank you to all the staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

The staff lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable.…
The staff here have always been courteous to me and very welcoming. They have a little colouring area for children which has come in handy for me and have never minded me sitting in and waiting. They have an abundance of knowledge and have really helped me with anything I've needed for my vehicle. If ever they haven't been able to do something they've always recommended reputable companies locally. I have visited about 5 times in the last year and travel an hour to take my car to them. They've always been quick and luckily for me, been able to do jobs there and then unless I've pre-booked. I trust them completely and they always do a fab job.

I took my peugeot 3008 into National…
I took my peugeot 3008 into National Tyres, which is now part of Halfords, over 2 weeks ago to have a new battery fitted, it will not start now. It went to a Halfords car care center a week ago, still no progress. I add insult to injury I complained to Halfords over a week ago and have not had a reply.
Completely fed up with the whole fiasco, maybe I need to get a solicitor involved because being nice isn't getting me anywhere.

I ordered 4 tyres online, and received confirmation of the order having been processed. The following day, I was called by a woman at the Tiverton depot, who advised I had to call the online team to order my tyres as they wouldn't speak to her. This seemed odd, as an online order is surely then automated. However, I did as requested, but trying to contact said team was impossible. The phone system was hopeless, and actually asked me the questionnaire about the call experience without even having spoken to anyone. Managed to try again and was put through to wrong team, who then reverted me back to the first queue. I called the branch the following day to be advised that the tyres had arrived there after all, so my appointment the next day was as planned. 8 minutes before the appointment for the tyre change, I was called to say they couldn't find my tyres - they weren't there. The guy said he wasn't normally at that branch but he couldn't speak to the woman who told me the tyres were there. Therefore we would need to reschedule. Arrived at the branch anyway, and cancelled order for a full refund. Waste of a 25 mile round trip. Bought from ATS instead, for same price, and no hassle. Won't be using National again. They blamed it all on Halfords taking them over!
Per reply from National Tyres, order ref 7640372. No need for resolution as I stated in my review that I subsequently bought tyres from ATS in Tiverton without issue.

Worst service ever

When contacted to complain they told said the front tyres were legal and showed no remorse and no intention to work to address the problem. Have no ability to pay for new front tyres now or are they legal to drive. Disgusted.

Service was non existent… Literally!
National took my order for 4 new tyres and a service for my car. Signed me up for a credit agreement. Then a few days later cancelled my order by email with no explanation. My local branch told me they don’t actually do services when I phoned up to find out why it was cancelled!

AVOID INCONVENIENCE, USE NORTH DEVON TYRES
I arrived on site at 8.20am on 08/07/23. At 8.30am (our appointment time) a very polite young man identified himself as being from Exeter but today covering the Tiverton branch, however explained that no one had materialised with keys to enable him to open. Nonetheless, we left car keys in anticipation of someone arriving with keys to open the unit. Unfortunately, after waiting an hour we returned to the unit still locked up.
Thankfully, North Devon Tyres (directly opposite National Tyres) were able to step in and deal with our tyre replacement for less than half the price originally quoted by National Tyres.
I have always given my custom to National Tyres, but after my experience today, I will not be using them in the future.

Firstly if I could zero stars I would. This review relates to National tyres and specifically the Tiverton store only. This review doesn’t relate to the staff who are excellent. I put my car in for an MOT and it failed on the handbrake. I can’t acted the store to arrange repair and they said they couldn’t do it. This seemed strange as National advertise themselves as brakes tyres and exhausts. I asked they staff why they could repair or replace as required and they said “oh we have no staff” apparently they are working with three when it should be six. They aren’t in a position to to any MOT repairs so if I had known that why would I have put my car in for an MOT with National tyres? Can get the repair done after the free retest has expired because most garages are booked weeks in advance. Therefore I will have to pay for another MOT. National tyres made a simple task quite difficult so I won’t bother using them again for any motoring matters
