Had a call semi out the blue from this company after googling intensive tests. Received a call from YAD who was very informative, he took time to explain why he was calling that it wasn't to push me into booking a course it was simply to give me additional information so I had more knowledge to hand.
YAD was patient and very helpful and willing to explain everything in detail.
I was very impressed indeed

I have worked with National intensive for more than 10 years as an instructor and have found them to be professional, organised, and supportive. Communication with both instructors and students is clear, and courses are scheduled efficiently. The company genuinely focuses on helping learners achieve their driving goals while maintaining high teaching standards. I have enjoyed being part of the team and would recommend them to both learners and fellow instructors.

The call operator Rachel was very helpful with the question I had after my lesson about payment and also about how the lessons etc work. Was a very pleasant experience talking to her and a phone call made easy for someone who generally doesn't like phone calls. So very much appreciated.

I booked with National Intensive and was partners with a driving instructor called Isaac. I had paid an extra fee to only do evenings and weekends and during my first lesson with him I was told he didn’t like doing evenings because he was too tired but would if he absolutely had to.
Four lessons in I contacted national intensive to change driving instructors as there had been several issues, namely that he had asked me inappropriate questions like “do you live here alone?”, turned up to my house unannounced on a day we did not have a lesson and spent one lesson in the passenger seat with his eyes closed, not watching. I was told he would have to agree and refund me the money before they would swap drivers. This took 6 weeks and constant phone calls. They only chased him to provide the refund when I called to ask them to.
They’ve refused to refund any of my deposit as the lessons had started despite the awful experience.
I would not recommend at all.

1st driving ing instruction allocated kept changing my 1st lesson booking date and then didn’t turn up for the first lesson and wouldn’t reply to my messages or calls. I was then allocated a 2nd driving instructor SALIM. He was perfect. He called me straight away after allocation, introduced he’s self, asked about my driving experience and booked my 1st lesson straight away. 1st lesson I was nervous but the way Salim spoke and explained things to me I settled down very quickly. At the end he said he was very impressed with me and didn’t see any reason why I shouldn’t pass which gave me confidence. Salim always sent me lesson reminders day before and on the day. On the day of the test I was very nervous at the beginning but the way Salim spoke, explained and guided me I got my confidence back and PASSED 1st time. I don’t think I would have passed with out Salim. I would definitely pass he’s details on to other learner drivers without hesitation.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Sam (/Azeem) to anyone as a driving instructor.
Sam brings a wealth of experience and boundless knowledge, and so clearly loves to impart every last bit of what he knows to his students. His experience allowed him to quickly work out my strengths and weaknesses as a student and he tailored each session to my needs, allowing me to continually develop my skills, confidence, and understanding, and challenging me to make progress while always taking time to reassert the foundational principles that he'd taught.
Sam's approach blends honesty and instruction with empathy, kindness, fairness, and laughter, and he put me at ease even when facing aspects of driving that scared me the most. Sam is always as flexible as possible for his students and offered so much support, especially as the test came closer.
I'll definitely miss our chats, and the opportunity to learn about the areas we drove through, but I will never forget Sam's mantra: 'Just Chill and Drive!'
Thanks, Sam!
Andy Ede, June 2026 - passed with 2 minors
