The team at Nesto did an amazing job helping me and my wife buy our first home at a great rate. They spent hours calmly listening to all our questions and helping us understand the ins and outs. I'd like to give a special mention to Elischa who was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. He felt more like an independent advisor that had my best interest at heart than someone trying to sell me a mortgage. Alin was also incredibly helpful in getting all the requisite documents and information from us and helping make sure everything was in order. The nicest team of people I've had the pleasure of dealing with coupled with a great rate makes this an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a mortgage.

The service we received during our mortgage transfer from Nisrine and Jessica was outstanding. They were both very knowledgeable and informative on the steps of the process they were tasked with. All of our imediate questions were quickly answered and any follow ups (especially on Jessica's part) were also done very swiftly. We were very satisfied with our rate and, despite being on a time crunch, the process was extremely smooth and all done online! Would highly recommend Nesto.

Stay away. Nesto was very slow in processing my mortgage application, follow-up requests, and lacking in responsiveness resulting in substantial delays in the home purchasing process.
However, what made this company truly unique is that they managed to wire the entire mortgage balance amount to a WRONG TRUST ACCOUNT on the closing day.
Even if the advertised rate is 0.05% below their nearest competitor, it is certainly not worth all the stress and financial consequences of failing to complete the purchase.

My experience with Nesto has been excellent! The reason for that - its people - Samuel Grar and Alin Ayvatyan. They are a fantastic team and where able to assist us with our financing flawlessly. Experienced, very organized and thoughtful - the kind of team you want on your next financing! Well done and thank you both!

Excellent streamlined process. The UI is simple ,clear to use and is clear about the information to provide. Nesto ensure you are aware of all the different steps along the way, and ensure you understand the different offers. Had more options and and longer discussions with Nesto then from my regular local Bank.

From start to finish this was a first class experience. Tom initially helped me out with the application process and then my file was passed on to Heidi for all the behind the scenes paperwork. Tom was informative, helpful and very personable. He really went above and beyond to help me during the application process. It was a seamless experience! Now to Heidi… There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful Heidi was to work with. She truly cares about you as a person not just an applicant. She took customer service to the next level. I had some unexpected personal challenges come up during the application process and she went above and beyond her job description to help me. I feel like I made a friend during this process, which I understand is a strange thing to say for a mortgage application, but I truly mean it. I will only work with Nesto in the future and I hope I have the pleasure of working with Tom and Heidi again. Thank you both !

Detailed review:
Day 1: Found ‘Nesto’ and created account. Filled all personal details which required for mortgage.
Day 2: contacted by Nesto ( Andrew Mitchell).
Day 3: Uploaded all documents.
Day 4: Andrew asked for few more documents. Negotiations done on interest rates. ( a good competitive rate)
Day 5: My file moved from Andrew to Alin Ayvatian.
Day 6: Nesto submitted my documents to lender. ( This is my favourite part - received an email about what are the next steps in the process)
Day 7: Received conditional approval - need to send couple more documents.
Day 8: Sent remaining documents and Mortgage approved !!

Wow, can’t believe everything happened in less than 10 days and everything ONLINE , no need to go to any banks or anything, Nesto worked for me very well.
I do NOT need to take time to book an appointment to meet anyone to get my mortgage.
It is a WOW moment for me :)

P.S : I’m a first time home buyer, so it’s exciting times for me.

I had huge help from both Steve Chang and Alin Ayvatyan, they helped me so much through the whole process and made everything as clear as possible! This was my first time buying and they really helped with everything and made it quite an easy process, and both were a pleasure to talk to. Will definitely use again

our mortgage was in underwriter's review for many many days due to lack of communication and negligence. The whole process of getting the mortgage has been very stressful and our associate we are working with is just incompetent. Very disappointed and frustrated.

This is to say thank you to Steve Chang and Alin Ayvatyan for being so patient, kind and helpful during our mortgage process. Steve was always quick to reply to my calls or emails and explain things clearly and offer advice. Alin was also very quick to get in touch, provide us with updates and made the final steps of the process very easy. Thank you both!

The advertisements and promises are too good to be true. Upon completing the initial online assessment I was quoted 1.80, promised aproval in as little as 24 hours and better rates than the big banks. Submitted a lot of documents 2 and 3 times. Then received an email invoice to pay 300+ for a property appraisal so that they can make sure we weren't "overpaying for a mortgage". Despite having a city appraisal recently done by the previous owners and a real estate market survey. We declined and offered to forward the current ppraisal documents we had. They insisted that their property appraisal 3rd party company was a mandatory process to ensure the best rate. Also they had concerns" about the credit check . I had a 800 score and only 1 credit card with no balance. They wanted the statements to "verify " something or the other. Their best offer after 2 weeks of back and forth. 2.5 % variable compared to the 1.8 advertised. I had already been pre approved by a big bank for 2.1 variable with wayless paperwork and a lot less mortgage restrictions. I went with the big bank on this one. However even after declining the 3rd party appraisal and to continue business, recently I still received a request for payment of this mystery property assessment company. I filed a fraud complaint with the BBB.

i was not able to renew my mortgage due to my credit rating but was given advice on how to try to help myself
to rectify this issue the mortgage adviser i delt with took the time to help me and i am very grateful for that

Better rate than the "big banks." The best rate my bank could give me was 2.7%. That's the "special rate." Really???? Save $$$$!!! Call Nesto!

phenomenal!! They take you step by step through the process. If you have any questions, just call or email. They get back to you very fast! (Unlike the "big banks, where you'll be treated just like another number.) Here, they actually CARE about their clients!

I had a more complicated case of mortgage renewal -- wanted to renew early for better rates, but took a pay cut so had to bump up the mortgage term in order to afford it.

I filled out an application, but thought it was not worth the work and cost to renew early after doing some math.

Still, I got a call back from Samson, and decided to hear my options. To my surprise, he also suggested that it was not worth renewing, and offered me a few helpful tips based on his knowledge of my current lender. It was a nice surprise to hear the honest and knowledgeable opinions from an agent.

Definitely looking forward to work with Nesto and Samson the next time around!
