Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the website, describing it as poorly managed and difficult to navigate. Customers frequently reported issues with the subscription model, noting that it often felt like a "cash grab" and that free users experienced significant limitations, such as extremely slow download speeds and forced 2FA. BS blue haired DEI employees take offense to wanted ‘male’ and ‘female’ archetypes. If you don’t want this behavior in gaming anymore, boycott this weird company.

Does what you'd expect

If you're looking for mods, this is a good site. Navigation can be a little confusing but everything else works just fine. I really don't know what people are talking about when they say they force you to pay for premium. I never used premium and it never took me longer than a bunch of minutes to download a mod. Their mod manager "Vortex" works fine too and for me it's easy to understand although that might not be the case for anyone. Personally never had an issue with the site.

Premuim is not worth it you dont get better speeds at all and when I raised this you dont get an answer just question as it must be something to do with you even though all other downloads from online or steam are running at your max internet capacity.

wouldnt bother with it and wont ever be doing it again.

The website can't be trusted

The website can't be trusted. I wouldn't do any business here, I've tried using it once and I've been scammed.
I tried contacting the support but they were useless and even banned my account after multiple e-mail communication.

Worst. Ever.

Ordered a metal model kit of a 4 cylinder engine. What I received was a resin statue of an engine. £40 paid , and received what I’ve later found on temu for £4. Hassle of returning it ,although bought through PayPal . cost of £15 to return. Bad experience through a company I will definitely avoid in the future.

Politically motivated

There's too much banning of mods that don't align with the moderators political beliefs. This is crazy when you consider that the mods they host will only ever take affect on the local systems that they get installed on. What's worse is that they're banned for really stupid reasons. Want a mod that makes Angrboda look more accurate to the Norse lore? Nope it's banned on Nexus. Want a mod that reverts the clothing changes that Square Enix patched on to Tifa in Final Fnatasy rebirth? Nope banned. Want a mod that removed the pronoun choices in Starfield? Banned because reasons I guess. Mods to change character skin color from white to black are allowed but vice versa they're banned. It's all very stupid on Nexus's part.

I can't support a site that's telling me what changes I can or can't make to a game that I own and will only every be seen by me. I'd strongly recommend you go to degmods over Nexus as they're actually free of politics and don't band mods.

modding monopoly

awful website, used to be good but now they force you to use their pre alpha vortex client, and throttle down your download speeds if you're not paying, and calling it a "donation", i hope this website goes bankrupt and shuts down so everybody can move on and start a new mod hub.

Here is what they did to me

Here is what they did to me: They give you intentional slow download speeds, and I mean SLOW so you have to buy to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time (literally taking money from people).

Then I asked for a refund respectfully after less then 48 hours later (I didn't even use a single mod). And they said to basically go F myself.

Go with someone else these guys will farm you for money any way they can.

Well

Well, it's mods you'r searching, right?
Mods are done right there.
Easy to find, easy to download, organized and all.
Tbh I don't really care about political movements and Nexus ambitions to silence in one way or another. The site does what it wants to do and if you want something else, look somewhere else.
Trustworthy, if it's for you. Untrustworthy if you'r looking for political correctness.

Good Housekeeping, quick response

This website does good housekeeping and is quick to respond when contacted. Never did the premium account stuff so no comment there but I've had issues with mods that were just plain broken and they were removed after a while for poor stability and not politics. Any reviewer complaining of racism is probably racist themself. The mods are rated by people who download, a badly reviewed mod will be deleted so it's ultimately decided by gamers-as it should be.

First it was racism against whites, now silencing other political voices, left-extremist moderation team.

First it was banning mods that change characters to historically accurate white skin color, but being fine with black swaps.
Now it's banning certain political mods like a character swap to Trump, but being fine with character swaps to bush, obama, biden or an lgbtq race-swapped wheelchair-bound character.

It's very obvious they've chosen a political side and are not a neutral platform for their users.

Do not support these antics, do not donate or subscribe.
