taken advantage of
Nyman Libson Paul was recommended by a friend. I contacted them and made it clear in my email that I had already hired someone else, who advised me that what I was trying to do wouldn’t work.
Despite this, they insisted I sign their engagement letter. I assumed they had something new or valuable to contribute — but all I received was a two-line email confirming exactly what I’d already been told. There was no call, no meeting, no added insight — and yet I was sent a £900 bill.
Disappointing and, frankly, felt like I was taken advantage of. I would strongly advise others to get absolute clarity on what value they’re getting before signing anything with this firm.
