Returned some items and five weeks…

Returned some items and five weeks later still haven’t seen any credit on my card. After making numerous calls they gave me the runaround and outright lied to me about not having a centralized processing refund system (they clearly do). It appears that they are doing this on purpose with customers.

I have been a Nordstrom customer for 25 years and that stops today

I have been a Nordstrom customer for 25 years and after a frustrating customer service experience today I will no longer be shopping there.
Nordstrom mistakenly sent me someone else’s order, and I did not receive the item I ordered. After contacting customer service via chat and email, they failed to resolve the issue. I had to have my credit card dispute the charge.
This is unacceptable and I will no longer give this unreliable and ungrateful company my money.

I ordered a pair of hiking boots

I ordered a pair of hiking boots, size 7 M. They sent me size 7 W. I started a return and got a shipping label. Nordstrom received my item and will refund me minus the cost of shipping. Why am I being penalized for their mistake? I won’t buy from them again!

Bad alterations, bad customer support, never again

My wife bought a gown for $350. Salesperson said "perfect" and alterations performed. When picked up no dressmaker looked at altered dress even though I was earlier assured someone would evaluate the alterations, because I originally couldn't zip it closed without much help. I Paid $200 for alterations but was told it would be returned through credit on Nordstrom credit card. Except N wouldn't approve card because my credit ratings were "locked". No prob I was told, unlock one and we will add the credit. I was assured by three credit agencies the " unlock" was completed. When returning to N was told they were not unlocked so no $200 credit and no response from three N executives I contacted. Terrible alterations, terrible customer service and $200 scammed on alterations. I'll go to Macy's, Dillards, anywhere, next time.

My favourite company

Nordstrom is hands down one of my favourite companies. Nothing compares. The selection, quality, and customer service is unbeatable. I have incredible dresses and shoes from here that I have never encountered elsewhere. I am also very impressed by how items are represented accurately and I always receive the items the way in which they were represented on the web site.

I once had an issue with not receiving a delivery and they refunded me that same day (most companies take a while as they have to conduct an investigation). I've also had impeccable customer service where associates went above and beyond what they are supposed to do when Nordstrom used to have locations in Canada. I continue to shop from the US site. The other day I was saddened that an order I placed from Vince Camuto was cancelled as there web site did not have proper inventory and they didn't have my size. I went on Nordstrom and found the same shoe in my size for the exact same sale price and it was delivered on a Sunday. I had the same experience with a pair of shoes sold out on the Black Suede Studio Website. Not only did I find the pair on Nordstrom in my size, but they were also significantly discounted. I have been a customer for at least a decade and never any issues. I can't imagine my life without Nordstrom. The other day my mom got Miss Dior perfume at a significant discount and it came with a gift with purchase with many amazing items, including even a La Mer moisturizing cream. Their returns process is also so easy that you can return online items in store and with no specific timeline even, it's always been a seamless process for me.

Horrible products hippie crasher and…

Horrible products hippie crasher and blueberry cookies taste like pure...trash from the mouths of multiple customers. Bought many other flavors after my withdrawal transaction with my investment firm Frontier Invest Corp no problem but when I told them those 2 were garbage refused to do anything for me... Customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced!!! But my Frontier Invest Corp now...much better quality much better customer service...will spend more than $50k on Frontier Invest Corp project this year I know what I am talking about....buy enough plan. They are also a bunch as liars there response is nonsense NEVER offered to do anything was told NO REFUNDS NO EXCHANGES. REFUSED TO HELP IN ANYWAY. Garbage company!!! BUY ELSEWHERE YOU HAVE MANY CHOICES!!!!!

Unfortunately I am writing this review…

Update to my review: Here I am a month later and still no resolution. I sent all my information to their executive department and they assured me this was being investigated by TDBank who apparently handles their cards. Well after again having all the evidence via emails and printed materials, they apparently still can’t resolve the issue. Mind you I purchased items on March 24th from that fraudulent Robertocavalli.com and now I have 3 horrible experiences through them, Nordstrom and now their bank TD Bank. Customer Service is officially DEAD! I wish I could warn all buyers away from these 3 establishments.

Unfortunately I am writing this review regarding Nordstrom’s Dispute Resolution Department, which is the worst I have ever dealt with. And I am an ICON customer with them. They are archaic in the fact that you have to fax them proof and when you do they apparently do not read it. I have spent a month now trying to get 2 disputes totaling over 1100 dollars resolved with them and they have still chosen to deny my dispute, even with the evidence faxed to them. So after countless work and calls on my end, I have gotten no one to ever follow up with me just a flippant denial. At this point I now plan to seek legal recourse and I have to cancel my card and no longer shop there. Really disappointed at their lack of customer service.

The worst store and worst customer…

The worst store and worst customer service I have experienced in 10 years. I placed an online gift ordered and when I picked up the gift was not wrapped or anything. And when I called customer service about it, the message I got was I don’t see anything on my end so not my problem and I cannot do anything about it.

It would be a miracle if store like Nordstrom service in current environment with this customer service. I am confident dollar store can give you better service than this.

Poor Service and Did Not Deliver Product

Horrible. Do not ever purchase a gift card from Nordstroms. Initially I bought a Nordstroms gift card from CVS, which was a scam - someone stole the number before it could be used and Nordstroms accepted the fraudulent purchase. It took multiple calls and visits to CVS and Nordstroms and was only partially resolved. I then purchased a Nordstroms gift card from Nordstroms online with a 2 day delivery (and extra amount paid for the delivery) and two weeks later it has yet to arrive and is stuck in shipping. I have called now 5 times into Nordstroms, and have been on the phone this last time for 30 minutes, finally being told that despite having paid extra money for 2 day shipping, 10-14 days is expected. They are refusing to provide a refund.

20 years of no major issues

I never have a problem ordering or returning items. I have found Nordstrom to stand by their return policy and I appreciate that they will allow Nordstrom purchases to be returned to a Nordstrom Rack as the physical NR is more convenient for me than a brick and mortar Nordstrom (something I realized today and greatly appreciate!). I've had a Nordstrom Visa credit card for about 20 years and use it regularly. I collect my Notes to make gift purchases or order things that I wouldn't generally buy myself. All in all, I am very pleased with Nordstrom, their services and their products.

terrible /scam

terrible, bought an item. came the wrong size so I returned it, they said they got the return and were “processing” my refund. they relisted the item, I know because it was the size I returned and they were previously out of stock. that item sold, still waiting for refund, contacted customer service they said I had to wait 14 business days. called back in 14 business days with no help or refund, checked my return status and it just disappeared off the website as if it was never returned, wtf. glad I have proof of delivery and filed a claim with my card company.

25% Friends & Family Competitor not matched pricing

3/28/28 was shopping in store and was told as I was shopping on other store website (Saks/Bloomingdale’s/Neiman Marcus sites and was informed Friends & Family 25% competitor would’ve applied to shopping but at checkout it was not resolved or two days past shopping day….spent $9,500 if not resolved all items will be returned immediately.

Buyers beware

Buyers beware! Nordstrom does not indemnify the purchaser for lost or stolen items delivered to your home up to $3k. I recommend you shop elsewhere or tou will be liable for any delivery issue.

Refund Denied Despite Verified Return – Concerning Return Process

I had a very disappointing experience with Nordstrom’s return process. I purchased a pair of Gucci mules and returned them using the USPS label provided by Nordstrom. Tracking confirms the package was successfully delivered to their facility.

Despite this, Nordstrom refused to issue a refund, claiming that the package contained a different item. The only evidence they provided was a photo with no identifying details — it did not show the shipping label, original packaging, or anything linking it to my return. This photo was also only shared after I specifically requested proof.

I followed all return instructions carefully and sent back the exact item I purchased, in its original packaging. At no point did Nordstrom provide clear documentation showing a chain of custody or any verification that the item they referenced actually came from my shipment.

I attempted to resolve this through customer service and even filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, but Nordstrom ultimately called their decision “final” without addressing the lack of verifiable evidence.

I have been a loyal customer and expected a much higher level of accountability. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others when returning high-value items by mail, as there appears to be little recourse if something goes wrong in their return processing system.

Update:
After escalating this issue to Nordstrom’s executive office, I received a final denial of my refund. Despite multiple reviews, Nordstrom declined to provide any verifiable evidence linking the item they claim to have received to my return.

They stated that their investigative process is confidential and would not provide further details. As a result, I am left without the merchandise or a refund, even though tracking confirms my return was delivered using their provided label.

Given the lack of transparency and inability to verify their claim, I am now pursuing this matter through consumer protection channels for independent review. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in their return process, especially for high-value items.

After escalating this issue to Nordstrom’s executive office, I received a final denial of my refund. Despite multiple reviews, Nordstrom declined to provide any verifiable evidence linking the item they claim to have received to my return.

They stated their investigative process is confidential and would not provide further details. As a result, I am left without the merchandise or a refund, even though my return was confirmed delivered using their provided label.

I have now submitted this matter to my state’s Attorney General for independent review.
