No refund for damaged product

I purchased three very expensive palettes (270 USD total). To full price. One of the palettes arrived broken. I opened paypal claim and the answer (decision) of the store was: I should return the palette and after that they could refund me only 1/3 of its price (30 USD instead of paid 90 USD). Looks like a fraud. I could keep the palette with acceptable discount but return and only 30 USD refund??? The store will have the palette and 60 USD and I will have only 30 USD back.

Beware Nordstrom, still love it though

I love Nordstrom. But they shipped my daughter an empty box. It was supposed to be a graduation David Yurman bracelet. The package was intact, so it happened before it arrived. Nordstrom will not take responsibility. It's kind of unbelievable

Edit. I finally reached a level in corporate that could take action. We were refunded. Lesson learned, have packages shipped to store for pickup. It's just come to that unfortunately.

Danger and Rude -EVIL

Mom Bought the La prairie gold cream and used it 3 days burnt her face. No apologies and was told not to shop there using Nordstrom card because they won’t give her the Nordstrom notes incentive. They did not apologized when it was brought back to the store in Denver. I would like to seek $10000 restitution for the pain, damages to her skin and illness. She is 80yo woman. Customer Service Failed

Using a Nordstrom card offers no real protection. They ignored my dispute, refused a refund for an item missing from the box, and let my complaint damage my credit. I followed all the rules — they didn’t protect me.

Terrible customer service & third party distributers

Terrible time with Nordstrom and their international shipping partner ESW. Essentially the two of them cannot talk to each other, point fingers back and forth to deflect, etc.

Feb 20 - Order placed. Shipping was 26 chf. After receipt, I go to return via the website and see that the return shipping is 67 chf - the return shipping costs are not posted anywhere beforehand. Why was it only 26 to ship to me but 2.5x that to ship it back?

March 8 - 11 - Contacted CS for both ESW and Nordstrom. Both says they don't set the price, the other does. Eventually the Nordstrom CS rep says I can return the product myself and provided the return address.

March 21 - 22 - Returned the package, with tracking. Followed all procedures discussed in previous emails with Nordstrom. Emailed both providing the tracking number. Told that as soon as the package is delivered, to allow 4 working days to receive the refund.

March 29 - Tracking confirms delivery.

April 4 - Emailed both to get an update. I have not yet seen a refund - ESW now wants proof of delivery and a photo, but that might be difficult to provide since I no longer have the package after shipping it. Reported this info back to nordstrom.

April 5 - Nordstrom responded with a blanket email directing me to ESW...who will probably complain I did not follow standard procedure even though I was given explicit permission from Nordstrom to do so.

Neither company will respond to my emails anymore. So I'm out about 200 chf for shoes I don't even have.

Unprofessional and SKETCHY fulfillment. No shipping evidence provided.

Ordered a T-shirt on 05/04/2025 and it is now 05/13/2025 without an update. Not EVEN one update. Nordstrom customer service is blaming the carrier yet I've never seen UPS take two freaking weeks to scan an item for a consumer who is already within the U.S. According to Nordstrom, allegedly UPS has a "zone skipping" strategy to reduce cost and scans items once their capacity is met. That still doesn't explain why UPS doesn't have the item in their possession and why Nordstrom won't take accountability in not actually in fact shipping the item. It is now 05/14/2025 and I have not been once provided evidence of any effort from Nordstrom reaching out to the carrier or providing proof that the item was in fact shipped (other than their meaningless notification that it allegedly was). Customer service is now just copying and pasting previous answers as a sign of laziness. Disgusting company. No wonder they donate more to a "particular" party than a real American one.

NORDSTROM continues to slip in the once…

NORDSTROM continues to slip in the once deserved reputation department for above and beyond customer-centered service. The company culture has changed not for the better. Lower your expectations and seriously reconsider ordering from them online. This makes me sad, but Nordstrom is following the trend of lower standards in U.S. online business. Be aware.

Exceptionally Slow Delivery

I ordered an 18k gold ring on May 2 that cost me just under $4,000 with tax. It was shipped USPS and has still not arrived almost 10 days later Any other store would have shipped it overnight or 2 day delivery. I will never order a luxury item from Nordstrom’s again.

I bought my daughter fake eye lashes…

I bought my daughter fake eye lashes and tried to purchase the glue for the lashes but the customer service person sold me I lip gloss that I did not ask for. When I called back and spoke to a supervisor at Nordstrom's she stated she would not send me the glue or call the girl who made the mistake selling me the wrong product. Norstrom's customer service is not what it use to be. Now it's over priced and Customer's are made to feel like they are in the wrong. Boo on you Nordstrom's

Shipped a high-ticket ($1000+) item…

Shipped a high-ticket ($1000+) item with no usable tacking. Nordstrom used Ontrac as their carrier — maybe the worst possible: no signature req, no knock, and of course no product delivered. Was told I'd be refunded, now finding myself in an endless series of calls to customer service. Next call is to my bank for a charge-back / fraud claim.

This has never happened to me before.

This has never happened to me before.
I ordered from outside the US and I ordered 2 items.
I received a completely different item for one, so I asked for a return and they said they would deduct the tax and shipping for the refund.
I can't believe it. Why should I have to pay a fee when it was Nordstrom's mistake?
The other item arrived with the correct item.
It was just over $800 worth of items in only plastic bag. It was like I ordered miscellaneous items from Amazon.
Nordstrom used to be a high-end department store, but maybe that's not the case anymore?
I'm going to stop using them for a while.
It was a good store when I used them a few years ago.

The best customer service

I bought a pair of shoes in my normal size. The left shoe was too small so I returned them and ordered a half size larger pair. Return was easy and credit was very quick.
Just an all- around excellent company.

I'm Out...Nordy is no longer a Brand I prefer!

What's up with Nordstrom? Their processes slack - they are using third party distributors, quality issues - not caring about their long term card holders...it can go on. Purchased three silk scarves; same brand. Received all three in one logo box with the silk instruction pamphlets. As these are gifts, I need boxes and pamphlets for all. One box will not work. I paid for the brand, I should get the full service. Called customer service, they couldn't do anything for me but offered on my next purchase expedited shipping. Well, the initial delivery I received was DHL out of China. What - since when? That delivery was a nightmare when you work - so how expedited will the next purchase be - it will take just as long. Anywho, customer service wanted me to return the items. I said no - you have very bad reviews on returns and they all go missing and then you are out of a refund. I said I will no longer be a Nordy. Very sad. Sacrificing quality - very disappointing after all these years. Everything has gone downhill. They want to act like Amazon using third party suppliers. Not a good vibe at all for the brand. There is no Brand anymore.

Going downhill fast and furious

Oh Nordstroms, what happened to this beautiful company. As a former employee of this company, I can safely say it has gone downhill. What was once a thriving company based on excellent customer service has been reduced to lazy employees who do not value the company's culture and are throwing used merchandise into bags with no care and sending them off to customers. My suggestion would be to re-structure who you employ here and focus on the Warehouse which use to be in Seattle and set some significant rules on how to ship merchandise out to customers with care and efficiency. Hiring lazy employees is the issue, they do not value this company and bringing it down.

Absolute RIP OFF

I purchased a pair of shoes size 6 Uk
Shoes arrived and not a UK 6
I returned by DHL and asking company for a refund
I received an email to say
£62:90 Cost of shoes
£10:00 to deliver
£14:58 Tax
Total £87:40

£12:58 tax
£48:00 Return
£27:49 Paid back today

I will never purchase from this company every again. They sent the wrong size shoes, yet I am supposed to take a loss of £48 to return

Surely there must be some sort of law to stop this. I am not the first. Unfortunately I had not gone on to reviews.

Nordstrom only cares about themselves…

Nordstrom only cares about themselves and not their customers!
The customer service at Nordstrom is just terrible and I will never shop there again. I have a compromised gift card that was purchased right at their store. This is not my fault and there should be something that can be done. I shop at Nordstrom a lot and that will change as of today as they did absolutely nothing to rectify this issue. After waiting a week for a response which I never got I called back only to be told the gift card was used and the only thing I am able to do is file a police report! Meanwhile, on my first call with them the customer service person told me she gets 2/3 compromised card calls a day! this is a big issue for them and should offer some empathy and proper help. I should not be out $125 with nothing to show for it because of fraud. Very disappointed in Nordstrom and their lack of customer service for loyal customers.
