Craft Salt Mill: No spare parts for a premium design product

Beautiful design, disappointing after-sales support. A small plastic coupling inside the white marble top failed, which made the entire mill unusable. Normann Copenhagen informed me that no spare parts or repair solution are available. For a product in this category and price range, I would have expected a more durable and serviceable construction.

Do not buy a rug from them.
The images on their website are completely misleading – the product I received looked nothing like what was shown online. When I contacted customer service, they ignored my actual question and only kept repeating information about how to return the item. On top of that, the return costs are outrageously high — around €300 to send it back from within the EU. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

DANGEROUS

Bought a ceiling lamp made of glass. The screws holding the glass were so poor quality that the lamp fell, exploding inton thousands of Sharp glass needles.
It is not just poor quality : IT IS DANGEROUS

I had a wonderful experience with the customer support team, and I want to give special thanks to Pernille Nielsen for her outstanding assistance. I reached out regarding some issues with the gliders on my chairs, and to my surprise, they offered to send me replacement gliders free of charge.

Pernille was incredibly helpful, professional, and quick to respond. She made the entire process smooth and pleasant, showing a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. It’s rare to come across such dedicated support, and I truly appreciate the way everything was handled.

DO NOT BUY LIGHTS IF YOU HAVE A SMART…

DO NOT BUY LIGHTS IF YOU HAVE A SMART HOME SYSTEM OR A WALL SWITCH as they are not compatible. Not specified on website or in technical information. Dimmer only works if you touch the light fitting control and cannot be controlled using a wall switch or smart home system. This is not practical if you have high ceilings. Took 3 emails for Norman Copenhagen to admit this....

Terrible customer service/no delivery

Ordered two side tables, paid in full November 2024, still not even an expected delivery date received end of MARCH 2025! Terrible customer service and experience, absolutely terrible.

I had bought 4 of the plastic and wood…

I had bought 4 of the plastic and wood leg form chairs and 2 of the chairs have been broken. The plastic pin the holds the wood legs have broken. For the 1st chairs we had to pay with a reduction for a new chair. But now with the 2nd one I do not want to spend money on something that will eventually break. I am very disappointed . I expect better quality in buying these chairs at that price point. I do not recommend anyone to buy these chairs

Our second Form dining chair broke (the plastic cup holding the leg) and they do not offer any suggestions on repair when asked - seems not to be possible. Not at all sustainable and will for sure replace the chairs with another brand!

I'm somewhat disappointed with my…

I'm somewhat disappointed with my recent purchase of a veneer lounge chair. After waiting for four weeks for delivery, I found that it has a couple of dark stains on the backrest and numerous marks all over the seat.
It seems like something went wrong during the manufacturing process or the chair is lower quality the the one shown on their website, it makes me pretty angry to see it.

Its practically a glorified Ikea chair for 6 times the price.
On the bright side, I'm glad I only bought one as a trial run. It's clear that the quality control isn't up to par. This experience definitely highlights the need for better quality checks before items are shipped out.

I reached out to Nest, where I bought the chair. They contacted the brand (you) and confirmed that these variations in the product are within acceptable standards. I wish Trustpilot would allow customers to upload pictures; the veneer is poorly crafted in my opinion, not even IKEA would allow products to show stains and marks in their final product. Thanks.

Poor quality - keep the receipts

We have during the last eight years bought 6 chairs and one tray table and all broke apart quite quickly. We are a small family with normal weight and the furnitures have all had regular use.
We didn’t keep the receipt, so we haven’t taken the trouble trying to replace them, but it is truly annoying.

Very poor packaging!

So, I ordered a Pebble cheese slicer for my partner as a Christmas gift, as she's Danish and loves Normann design. Thinking that you guys would probably do a much better job than my clumsy self, I also ticked the gift wrap option.

Presumably due to being an international delivery, I had no option to schedule a specific day for the cheese slicer to arrive - fair enough, logistics during COVID are challenging. At least if it arrives whilst I'm at work my partner will just take the delivery, not knowing what's inside.

Or so I thought. Guys, if I'm ordering something that I'd like gift-wrapped, it's safe to assume that I'd not want my partner knowing what's inside until she opens it. So why did you completely ruin the purpose of the gift-wrapping by putting the cheese slicer in a branded cardboard box that - wait for it... explicitly says what is inside?!

Safe to say that I'm not exactly impressed, I was so excited to surprise her with this gift...but now she knows exactly what she's getting, which has really dampened the excitement of the gift for both of us. Please do better!

Keep your receipts — Normann breaks quickly

I've purchased several things from Normann Copenhagen, including a full dinner set three years ago. The chairs in question are their ACE dining room chairs.

TL;DR: Their stuff breaks quickly. Keep your receipts and get ready for some reallllly bad customer service.

In three years, two of those chairs have broken — the first from manufacturing defect which (after a month of back and forth) a part was shipped to me.

The second, the bolts holding the chair back to the main body literally sheared off, spilling me to the floor. The response from their customer service team:

and we will look into the matter.

Unfortunately, I tend not to keep receipts from purchases made 3 years back on furniture — one would expect a chair to not fail after 3 years of use. But there you go.

Lesson is to not buy Normann if you have other options, and given they price point, there's much better options out there.

Very poor service

Very poor service. I cannot comment on the actual furniture because it hasn't turned up. I am constantly batted away with false promises of delivery. It really isnt the conduct you would expect of a higher-end company and I certainly wouldn't use them again.

Supernice customer service

I had a quality complaint with a cup when I contacted them and their customer service was excellent, superfast and extremely supportive, I was impressed!! In few days I received the replacement by an even more expensive cup (based on my need that I expressed via email conversation), nice quality. I like this brand very much!!

Perfect customer service

We had a chair that got broken. I send an email to customer service. They’re very helpful and nice. In 1 week I had a new chair at home without filling in difficult papers etcetera. Never had this good customer service at any company! Good job.

Ordered chairs during Black Friday sale…

Ordered chairs during Black Friday sale ( end of November) The delivery time indicated 2-4 weeks. As of 23.12.19 the shipment is somewhere, maybe Denmark, maybe UK. Customer service in Denmark is clueless about the whereabouts of the chairs. Not providing the contact details of their agent or shipping company in the UK and generally seems not interested. Unreliable.

Superb customer service

I am very impressed with this company. I purchased a product which I was delighted with. A couple of years later a part broke (through no fault of the company). I contacted them with the hope of buying a replacement part. Instead they offered to replace the product free of charge.
