Booking process was good, all seems straightforward so far. But having issues contacting office though, need to make an enquiry and the chat system never seems to be working ?

Lots of good properties in interesting places at reasonable prices. However, each one could do with more info on what's in the surrounding area.

No ethics at all

I note all the reviews from guests that are 1 star and I agree with the terrible service but, from a host point of view. We hosted with NOVASOL and have had nothing but terrible guests who have damaged our properties. Also, NOVASOL took it upon themselves to reduce our nightly prices from around 70 to 90 euros to an average of 20 euros, without notifying us, then when we get a payout it barely covers our costs. This year they have listed our personal home address as a short term rental and allowed bookings, without our consent. When I wrote to them to discuss this, NOVASOL suggested we move out of our house for 48 weeks of the year or pay them a 900 euro fine. THEY ACTUALLY SUGGESTED I MAKE MY FAMILY HOMELESS! I will be taking legal advice and fighting this companies ridiculous idea of ethics.

Poor, poor, poor.

The property was not as advertised, we were charged for cleaning when we were told we would not be & the customer service is non-existent.

OVERCHARGED AND UNRESONSIVE

I am still awaiting a rebate for an overcharge by NOVASUL.
The property in Stresa,Italy we rented was described as a Gorgeous Home...it was not.
Good points - the front terrace and table were good for an outdoor breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped but could have done with a kettle and toaster.
Bad points -
1. The WiFi did not reach the bedroom
2. There was no air on in the bedroom
3. The walls were extremely thin and the neighbour's TV could be heard loudly for most of the night.
4. There was a small shady garden which would have made a nice retreat but it was portly maintained and no garden furniture was available.
5. The wardrobes were full of bedding and had not been aired for a considerable time. Consequently there was a foul, musty smell.
6. There was an abundance of furniture and fittings whi gave the place a very cluttered feel.
7. The location was a 14 minutes stiff, steep walk uphill from the promenade. This may prove a challenge for letters especially if you did two to three jaunts to town every day.
8. The price agreed with Booking.com was unilaterally changed by NOVASUL and they key holder would not allow us into the property unless we paid an overcharge for the cleaning. Despite several attempts to resolve this situation, nothing has eventuated. Booking.com have tried to resolve the issue and recognise that an overcharge was made. They too were waiting for NOVASUL to respond. It all made for a very poor start to our holiday.

We turned up to our confirmed booking…

We turned up to our confirmed booking which was paid fully in advance along with the tourist tax today, to find the host has another guest in the gite, we were refused entry and told to leave, there is nobody available at all at Novosol, so we are faced with a night sleeping in our car, this is absolutely disgusting, we will be seeking legal advice. Absolutely DISGUSTING

Booked 13 nights in Beach Front Flat in Sabrinillas.
Lost first night due to keys being unavailable.
Marketing failed to mention Flat over well known Burger Restaurant
Property next to derelict building
Window blind failed leaving main area with 50% natural light and loss of sea view.
€180 cash for cleaning. Max 3 hours.
Left 3 days early
Many other disappointments all dismissed by the Company
Compensation claim dismissed with "hope you had a nice holiday".
In summary, rude, dismissive, and suspect marketing.

Easy to use booking site.

Easy to use website with a clear booking service. Plenty of locations to choose from and good value for money. You know what you are getting from the start. This is the third time we have used Novasol and based on past experience, we are confident that the villa we have booked will be as presented.

Terrible customer service and no reply to emails

Terrible customer service. Their chat on the app gets answered but you cannot do anything on the chat. No emails can be sent or received.

I paid for my French holiday in full but when I cancelled, Novasol took took too much money for my cancellation fees. It should have been £79 and they took £167.71. I have been chasing this for weeks through 4 different email addresses and all with no reply.

I phoned their Danish hot line as recommended on their chat yesterday and sent all my details by email and again, there is still no reply. I am going around in circles and want to complain about my treatment. They will no reply to my complaint so ABTA is the next step.

Refused a refund, with 6 months notice

We booked a villa through AirBNB with the host as Novasol. We had to cancel with 6 months notice, they were very rude a d refused to refund anything but 1pence. We tried to mediate and come to an agreement as we had paid a £738 deposit and it is not as if we had cancelled the day before, so they are refusing to refund anything else. I would avoid at all costs. They could have easily booked the villa again due to its location. I think 6 months is fair warning foe cancelling.

avoid avoid avoid…

Booked an apartment for my summer holiday 2026 in 2025.
In February this year I went onto my booking to update my payment details and the booking was not there.
After trying to speak to someone at Novasol I was reassured the booking was still confirmed and no issues, it’s likely the owner just isn’t renewing for the 2027 season. They sent me a new link that showed my booking confirmed. Roll on to April and I get a phone call to say my booking is being cancelled no explanation why but there is nothing they can do. 3 months until my travel, flights booked and the only options to swap are for apartments no where near my original area booked and dirt cheap and quite frankly places I wouldn’t even let my cat sleep let alone my family.
I’m now left with no where to stay for 10 days in July but flights booked. Only options to book somewhere with a different company and this is going to cost me £600 more. £600 I hadn’t factored into needing to save and with only 3 months to do so. If I cancelled that close to the holiday I would have been charged so why can they just get away with cancelling and offering no form of compensation for me now being out of pocket!?
Oh and to top it off the refund can take up to 4 weeks…. AVOID this company at all costs
