Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Listing!
I booked a Novasol's property through Airbnb, based on photos showing a beautiful house with a private garden, BBQ, gas stove, large sofa, multi-jet shower, and private washing machine. What we actually got was completely different:
No private garden and the BBQ was completely unusable — rusty, with broken legs tied together with wire, making it unsafe. Faulty induction stove that stopped working whenever the oven was on. No private washing machine — they were shared, locked, and only accessible when the host was available to open the room. Furniture and room layout totally different from the listing; even the bedrooms were positioned differently. Poor cleaning: greasy and dusty kitchen hood, hair and dirt in the beds.We paid a high price expecting the property shown in the listing but instead received a house with fewer benefits, safety concerns, and several issues.
I contacted Novasol multiple times, sent a detailed video showing the discrepancies but they ignored my messages and refused to handle my complaint. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I would not recommend Novasol to anyone.

Cleaning of €250 not being invoiced. Novasol wants to take the money upon arrival! Airbnb didn’t put this charge on their invoice although it is substantial.
To date Airbnb doesn’t want to re-imburse the booked stay although I gave 8 weeks notice before trip starts.
Not sure who to believe but if a host put cleaning cost under additional rules, something isn’t right. Rules are not cost.
NOVASOL, never again!
I stayed in Sorrento/Italy in October/2024 and rented an Airbnb house with NOVASOL. That was my worse experience travelling, ever! The host adapted the doors sizes but they look standard in the photo (how could I imagine that the doors are 1.60m high????? Conclusion: I couldn't walk properly to go to the bathroom, and it was a hassle to wash my young kid and bring him to the bedroom. NOVASOL has refused to provide another accomodation. I have photos that I'll keep to everyone who would like to see them.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The hospitality of the owner was evident from the very first moment. We were warmly welcomed, and throughout our stay, he was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was always available to assist us and provided valuable tips about the attractions in the area.
The large garden was an absolute highlight for us. It is very well maintained and offers plenty of space, making it a wonderful place to relax. Our dog had ample room to run around and play, which was a big plus for both him and us.
Additionally, the location of the accommodation is ideal. It is close to various beautiful attractions, making it easy to explore the surroundings. Whether you enjoy nature, culture, or just want to relax, everything is within easy reach.
In short, this is a place we highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, relaxing, and well-maintained accommodation!

Incompetent and Scammer!
Unfortunately I cannot give less than 1 star to this so called multinational company. We booked an apartment in Abruzzo from them through booking.com (but payment was made through their website, which is crap by the way for a multinational). And guess what, even if our reservation was confirmed, nobody showed up to give us the apartment key the day we arrived at the place. When we called the person who was supposed to give us key, Mr. E. Pace, he said he didn’t know anything about the reservation and there might be system error on the website as he said he didn’t receive notification of the reservation and he couldn’t come as he is in Puglia. What a shame!!!! We are with a 2 year old , tired and exhausted from hours of driving (we are from Milan, Naples, then Abruzzo). He then told us to request a cancellation from Novasol.
But guess what? It is like reaching the Pope trying to talk to them, unreachable. Afterwards, this Mr. Pace even tried to put a blame on us telling that we brought three dogs when he didn’t even come to see to either give the key or to verify how many dogs we have. He is really an as***** as he tried to turn the situation to his favour when it was him who didn’t even bother to come. After that we contacted Booking.com who finally helped us. They made Novasol cancelled our reservation and said that if in 15 days they didn’t reimburse us, Booking would do that.
In fact, this shameless Novasol didn’t reimburse us at all, and only released a credit note??? (What the hell would we care about credit note???). We cared about money reimbursement to our account! After many phone calls with Booking proving there is no reimbursement, Booking kindly gave us the money that should have been given by Novasol !!!
Thank you Booking as it showed that you are indeed professional and deserve to be called a Multinational. Don’t ever book with Novasol!!! They are scammer, have unreachable client service and try to make that it is ur fault that you don’t get the apartment, in addition that they won’t give your money back.
Ah one more thing, their staffs are incompetent. Just few days after the booking cancellation, we received a lot of emails (replies between many people who exchanged sensible data like codice fiscale or social security numbers). It seems their staffs don’t even know how to reply only to one person instead of replying to all, or they don’t know how to use BCC.
Everyone in the emails get many sensible data of other clients. So Novasol, 100 thumbs down for you! Run from them, choose real reservation sites like booking, last minute, or air bnb if you don’t want to be scammed.

Booked a large 8 bedroom house for 14 in Italy. Was advertised as one property with air conditioning. Checked prior to booking that all bedrooms were located in one house and that the pool was private which Novasol confirmed to be the case.
In reality the 8 bedrooms are split over 2 houses AND the pool shared with another 3rd house so not private at all. In addition the supposed air conditioning did not work so sleeping in 40 degrees was not enjoyable.
Villa number ITF186. The villa owner on arrival was very apologetic but we were completely missold a £5K house for a week.
Customer service team are diabolical and getting responses from them is near impossible.
I urge you to book elsewhere.
The Madhouse in Omegna.
We rented an apartment "IVO134" in Omegna for a quiet and relaxing holiday for me and my wife. Everything looked good on the website. Free parking, pictures of a big apartment with bubble bath and nice balconies.
When we arrived the landlord told us to park our car down the street since the neigbor was crazy and she would not allow anyone else to park at the premises. Not even for unloading our luggage.
Next the landlord handed us two flashlights since the staircase was in total darkness. The crazy neighbor had disabled the lights and put plywood in front of the windows so no light could get in.
You could also only leave the building with a key, so it was also a firetrap.
In the evening I wanted to try the bubble bath but it did not work. I called the landlord to complain but she said that it was only advertised as a bathtub so no bubbles for me. I got really angry because all in all this was becoming a really disappointing experience.
The landlord promised to take care of the lights the next day, and allowed us to park our car on the premises if we removed some fences and cones that was blocking some of the area. Not my job I think...
The next morning there was a lot of shouting and screaming from the neighboring apartment and the carabinieri arrived along with our landlord. They did not contact us so we do not know what it was about, but we then decided that we did not want to stay there.
The rest of the day we had contact with Novasol who said they tried to find another place for us in Italy. We also suggested France and Belgium to broaden the possibilities but they did not return that day. We booked a hotel i France and prepared to leave the next morning.
To load our car I parked on the premises and the crazy neighbor were there right away screaming in Italian. It was not possible in any way to have a conversation with her so I ignored her and began to load the car.
Meanwhile my wife began removing the tape from the blocked windows so we could get at least a little light on the staircase. The neighbor tried to stand in the way for my wife and when the window opened it hit the neighbors head. The she called the police and screaming HOSPITAL HOSPITAL.
Then some of her family arrived about the same time as the police. That was fortunate because the family thought that my wife had hit the neighbor and began to threaten us.
We explained the situation to the police who had a very hard time understanding English, but after we had explained the situation and that we would not press charges we were allowed to leave.
After some communication back and forth with Novasol we finally got all of our money back. But our holiday was in ruins
I had the worst possible experience…
I had the worst possible experience with Novasol; I received the summerhouse in a non cleaned state, the vacuum cleaner did not work, no duster so had to by one myself to clean floors, no light working in bath room, no gas on the grill outside. I DID clean the house anyway end of stay, wrote my claims to Novasol so many times during a whole year since never even said they were sorry that they ruined 4 days of my holiday, they even wanted me to pay the electricity euro 132 for my stay which is fair BUT I wanted to be reimbursed first a small part for my cleaning and trouble, and what to Novasol do? Send the electricity bill to an Incasso company?? What a sad and poor company they are, no service at all, incredible negative experience!

Horrible company ! The customer support team is a nightmare to work with . They will leave you with 0 information about your accommodation and have a “we don’t know we don’t care” attitude about it. Save yourself the time and money and book with a company that does not have fake positive reviews.
No regard for their guests
The company has no regard for the safety and comfort of its guests. Novasol provided my group with 2 different house addresses, one being in the centre of the city we were planning to visit, and the other much farther away. We were of course prepared to be staying not right in the center as the house was very inexpensive, however had no way of understanding which address was accurate. The communication we received back from the company was disappointing to say the least, actually I would argue there was no communication whatsoever. We were given generic and unhelpful responses, which made us feel unsure of whether or not we would even have a house to stay at. On airbnb the company doesn’t offer a full refund, so you can imagine with little communication and confusion about the location of the house there was a very real possibility we would have lost 900 euros. For nothing.
Complete scam
Horrible company with zero customer service or clear communication. Our housing was under question for 6 months while Novasol sat back and essentially told us to “figure it out” for ourselves with a host who wasn’t responding to texts or phone calls. When we asked to be connected with the host, we were given only a phone number and were told that this was all they had. How do you expect a company to function if they cannot even communicate with their hosts? We were given 2 different addresses for the house and were left confused and questioning the legitimacy of the booking. The company lied to Airbnb saying the issue was resolved, after we had contacted them to offer us support. Airbnb refunded us the money thank god. This company is a scam.

This company is awful. If there is a problem they offer no support at all. They are happy to leave you in unsafe accomodation and do not communicate at all. Don’t book with novosol unless absolutely desperate and prepared to be sick from sewer problems

The most unprofessional, dishonest experience ever! Nothing was as described. This house does not use public utilities so we consistently had the aroma of sewage. The " ocean front" house was directly on a Strada Statale... the entire experience was terrible. We left 3 days early
Avoid this company like the plague
Avoid this company like the plague. Beware that they operate as an intermediary on Booking, and it’s not exactly obvious when you book.
Our ‘4 star’ and ‘lovely’ villa in Sorrento had extreme rising damp, broken washing machine, black mold, broken gate to enter the property, leaky boiler and a zillion other unexpected inconveniences. The house is most definitely not compliant with building regulations. I’ll be filing a dispute as an EU consumer. I have documented everything.
I’ll be more than happy to remove this review if and when I receive compensation.
