I have truly enjoyed learning through NU. The classes, format, and structure are incredibly doable with a working schedule. The only issues I experienced are understanding what departments needs to be contacted in the enrollment process until getting settled with your academic advisor. This journey seems really messy and has too many working parts. It got pretty confusing. Once I landed with my advisor everything has been great! highly recommended.
Much like any other university, National has issues with staffing, schedules, and advising. As a nursing student, issues with staffing have severely impacted my clinical rotations and class schedule. Despite covid restrictions being reduced for cohorts behind me, and at many other schools, I have not been on campus for approx. 8 months. Nor will I be having a graduation or pinning ceremony.
I don’t think National is significantly worse than any other school, it has its problems, but it is certified and rapidly available where community colleges have large wait times and stricter requirements. I’m done with my degree in 2 weeks and am thankful I was able to start it so quickly here, though i don’t think the price was worth the experience I received. ‘Post’-covid should allow student to have more hands on practice, on and off campus, and will hopefully make use of the copious tuition that wasn’t spent on my cohort.

The support staff and instructors are very helpful. They are always available for questions, and very easy to contact. The instructors all really enjoy teaching. It has been a great experience so far. I plan on continuing with NU to get my master's degree when I finish my bachelor's degree.
This has been a rewarding experience and very educational. Professional and extremely concentrated on the students has been a constant. I would recommend this university and line of training to family and friends.
I have been with NU for 1 year and it's not been easy because of juggling work and college but 97% of the professors are awesome. I have learned a lot and I would recommend this college to anyone who chooses to go back and start their educational process or continue their educational process.
National University's staff is top notch! The school has allowed me the flexibility to go to college while still maintaining a very high demanding job. I truly appreciate their veteran support.
so far so good, my only complaint is if you transfer in a decent amount of credits your classes needed to graduate may be spread out. and sometimes teachers take too long to put in grades, and give feedback.
I experienced discrimination as a minority by a professor. NU also changed their classes that I needed for the degree I was pursuing, so I would need 6 extra classes than when I started that program in order to finish. I have a hard time getting help and my questions rarely get answered by advisors. Plus, I chose a degree but when speaking with an advisor recently, it wasn't the degree I thought I had chosen that I was actually pursuing. I have not had a good experience overall. It's been really hard and messy. The only thing I had a good experience with was the Writing Center.

Since I have been attending NU, I have had nothing but the most professional and helpful service from my advisors and professors. I would recommend this university to anyone deciding to either attend online as I am doing or in a classroom setting.
I had complaints about professors and they were blatantly ignored by Dr. Polen and the Department of Student Affairs. I question if the DSA is even staffed. I never received a response to emails or voicemail messages. There's zero accountability for staff complaints.

In my program each course build on the last however there is a lot of repetition... the same assignments each course, the same journal articles required to be read and written on.
National University empowers the working individual with the tools needed for real-world implementation. The four-week format is perfect for working adults who would otherwise be unable to attend any institution of higher education due to juggling both a job and a college schedule.
I contacted NU about finishing a program I started years ago and was told due to so much time that has passed I have to submit an appeal. The point of contact counselor was kind and very helpful. In the end I was accepted back into the program and all my courses I originally completed were accepted.
Because they messed up my FA and everything else, and I still do not think they are truthful, I did not get to finish any they made my life a living hell.

I had a great learning experience at National University. The classes were interesting and informative, and the instructors were very helpful.
A lot of administrative mistakes as returning student that delayed my readmission. Also need better communication with the correct personnel so that information is disbursed correctly and efficiently

I give my experience a one if I could. Everything went fine until it came to payment to them from the Dept of Rehab. NU was unable to give information for how the Dept would pay NU. They also said that withdrawing was not an option for my program. Then five months after I dropped out they decided I owed them 1405.00. It was a s___ show.

My initial experience with NU was wonderful. The counselors and support staff were great in getting me enrolled and into my classes very quickly. I recently tried to reenroll to pursue my degree again and it has been nothing short of disappointing. I have called numerous times, left several voicemails and emails with person that were indicated as my enrollment specialist/advisor and over a week and a half later, I have still not received a return call or email. It is frustrating and disheartening that my experience so far has not been as favorable as my experience in years prior.
