A very mixed bag. The agents and the conveyancer were 4.5 stars but the move manager was one star. At best her purpose seemed to be to tick boxes without being proactive and at worst to suppress information from the other members of the chain. A crass response that I ‘literally gave two dates’ when I’d actually given an either/or statement was a classic. So in a word, unprofessional.

The estate agent and lawyers teams at Ocean Portishead were excellent, keeping us very well informed and proactively sorting out issues. The combination of estate agents and lawyers in the same premises worked very well We would recommend them

Great communication from the start. I felt well informed through the duration of my purchase and all my queries were responded to almost immediately.
Demi was a real driving force behind insuring the chain completed on time despite the problems we encountered along the way.

The staff who cared, chased solicitors on our behalf and most important, kept up to date with progress - or otherwise. The portishead office are most helpful.

Ocean were able to get lots of viewings for the sale of my flat and I got regular feedback. Once a buyer was found they updated me regularly on the progress of the sale. Very happy with the service.

You didn't do much, provided access on one occasion. Didn't know much about the property, the vendor showed me.

You delivered my offer to vendor. Took some deceptive photos that completely failed to identify plaster off walls, partly my fault I should have moved furniture to check before buying.

I naively thought that either you or the surveyor might have identified 'work was needed' . But neither did. And it was. Is still ongoing 4 months later

On day of move you expect purchaser to drive to your office to collect keys despite managing the move.

Really can't say what you did for your several thousand pounds. You were polite and friendly but not several thousand pounds worth!

That said you were helpful which in my search some were less receptive.

So not many stars but that is because I honestly don't know what you do to earn the exorbitant commision you claim, not just you but ALL high street estate agents. If I had the confidence I would use an on line company as many of my friends have done and saved a packet.

Good communication and helpful advice throughout the process, particularly near the "end" when negotiations were required. There was always someone on the end of a phone to help and the staff were always friendly and courteous.

Paul and the team were very helpful and kept us informed of progress all the way through the process. At times there were delays from the other party but Paul was always available with the latest information to make sure we didn't worry.
