Purchased a brand new BMW 6 months ago…

Purchased a brand new BMW 6 months ago and the vehicle has faults such as backlights seals have failed(completely fogged up) & trims falling off the vehicle when travelling.

BMW have advised that I will have to pay for these non warranty items…
Absolutely ridiculous the car has only 1200 miles on the clock, I’m guessing the cost to replace the faulty lights & trim shall cost around £600-800.

Beware the Holiday repair - help and support is measured by locality

Broken down in Devon, recovered by the AA, I chose to stay true to the brand and picked a BMW branch nearest, Ocean BMW Torbay. Car repaired and back home to the north west all seemed great as any further issues would be resolved and covered with that usual BMW customer service and loyalty. However 300 miles away when the SAME warning messages and issues appearing, the urgency to resolve the issues is suddenly not there. As a franchise BMW dealerships seem to have different customer service level if you are not a regular local.
My experience was one of multiple un-returned calls and no desire to commit on approving/resolving the issue as it will have to be at a different dealership. Effectively you are on your own to resolve and sort, pay and query and then determine who is to blame later - a battle I might add I lost. I may have well have chosen a back street garage for sure it would have been cheaper.
The perils of dealing with a branch where you don't live are very poor customer service, I certainly will not be recommending Ocean BMW.

I've used Ocean's service department…

I've used Ocean's service department three times over the last 6 months and on each occasion they've been excellent. John and James on the front desk have been extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend them to others.

Disappointing Experience

I bought my first all electric i3 for my wife a couple of months ago from Ocean in Paignton
Not a good experience, I travelled from Malvern near Worcester to Paignton to pay for and collect the car, the sales guy who I dealt with didn’t even tell me he wouldn’t be there to hand over the car even though he made the appointment with me.
The hand over was poor considering it was the first time I had even sat in an i3, I was told very little about the cars operation and charging
I was promised all software updates for the car would be done they weren’t.
Since paying and collecting the car I have not received so much as a single courtesy email or phone call to see if we are happy with the car.
Not a good buying experience and when we replace it in the new year we will Not Be contacting Ocean.
The car is fine but the service is Not up to BMW standard and how they keep their franchise I have no idea.
