Training for sports and life

I joined One Element 2 years ago because I wanted a change from the gym. What I found was a group of people of all ages and fitness abilities who motivate each other to train at their potential come rain, snow or shine.

After a few months I started noticing changes. The scales showed I weighed less than I have in the last 10 years. On days out on the bike my friends started to comment that the pace was too fast and I didn't feel I was pushing hard. There were small things too like climbing several hundred flights of stairs in a monument in America and releasing I wasn't out of breath.

It's not all about the training too - check out their social and events pages.

Brilliant

All the team at One Element are lovely and an hour of training seems to fly by in no time. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing training club for fun, fitness and long lasting friendships.

I joined One Element 4 years ago and I absolutely love it. It's the most fun way to get fit and it is so variable with lots of additional events outside the standard training classes e.g. Cycle rides, touch rugby, rounders, walks, holidays, parties and paddle boarding down the Thames dressed as Santa! Best of all I have gained the most fantastic group of local friends who are supportive, encouraging, fun and great people to spend time with in and outside of class.

Something Special

I love one-element; it is the only exercise routine I've tried that I have been able to sustain, probably for abut 5 years now (can it really be that long?)
It also has the bonus of meeting the the other, lovely, one-elementers and its inclusivity regardless of your level of fitness.
It has added something special to my life

Great Fitness in Fresh Air

One Element is a great way to exercise for those who can't stand being cooped up in a gym and for those who don't like being shouted out by BMF instructors! A great way to meet like minded locals who don't mind some tough physical exercise in Great British weather taught by the best instructors. Highly Recomended.

Who needs the gym!

One Element is the highlight of my week. Exercising in the park with a great bunch of like-minded people, touch rugby, social events, holidays.

Highly recommended, if you want to be a happier and healthier person!

Great fun!

I enjoyed the one hour exercise on the grass and as it said by many others, it's much better choice than gym!

The exercise model and intensity is perfect for me and fits into my schedule, being parent of 5 years old with full time job. The coach is great and overall atmosphere is great, always fun to do it. I will miss it a lot one day we move out of South West London.

Fun and Always a Great Work Out

There is always hesitation to get out of bed when it's raining to go to the common to train with One Element, but once there, we laugh and train hard and don't even notice the weather. I prefer going out there in the winter as I train harder to keep warm, and yet in the summer, when it's hot, it's hard to keep cool. I love the team who train us, they are very dedicated and patient , fellow members are fun and we have a great rapport.

Great company, people focussed and creates real community and fun around training and outdoor pursuits.

Joined almost a year ago and has been a real revelation. Great to get regular tough but fun training in convenient locations. Further to that has opened up a real community. Allows you to get involved in a huge range of possible activities outside the training sessions - from Alpine ski trips to Thames paddleboarding to pub crawls - no pressure just extremely welcoming. Reset is a real jewel in the crown also - 12-days of diet and training made fun by the community (and trainers!) doing it together - and it really works feel stronger, sharper and all in better!

Tough, social fitness at its best!

I joined One Element around a year ago and have been hooked ever since. They offer a wide variety of strength and stamina routines 3 times a week! The variety and social aspect gets me to the session every time and for the fitness session alone I would recommend them to everyone.

Oh and the touch rugby sessions on Saturday/Sunday and their RESET programme (diet + workout) are massive extras. When I first joined I expected these to be paid privileges but they turned out to be totally FREE!

Absolutely fantastic people and great value for money.

So much better than a Gym!!

I started going to the sessions a year ago and they played a key role in my training for an Ironman 70.3 event. The sessions cater for all levels as you are competing against yourself and the trainers offer encouragement you so you get the most out of the sessions.

Personally I could not push myself this hard training on my own and at the end of the session you really do have a sense that you have done yourself a lot of good.

There are also fantastic touch rugby sessions, my favorite, which are a great way of keeping the fitness ticking over and having a lot of fun in the process. The games are self refereed and sportsmanship is the name of the game, with people of all ages and skill levels making the game accessible to all.

One Element was my London find of 2014!

Fitness excellence

When I first joined One Element in Twickenham 5 years ago there were only 4 or 5 regulars on a weekend, and week nights just 1 or 2 of us. We have now grown to a regular 15 plus at every session, and I believe we now have more than 40 members. I am fitter than I have ever been, I have learnt a million things about fitness, made some great friends and through One Element I have also been to Everest and on two other great holidays - skiing and surfing. My week is not complete without my Saturday morning session, the best way to start the weekend.

Set a new PB

I've been a member of One Element since February last year after too many gym memberships that came to nothing. What has worked for me is having a personal trainer organise the session for me, often making me do (core) exercises I would otherwise avoid in the gym. The competitive spirit also comes out when running against others in the group. The result after almost a year is a new PB at the Christmas Day 5k ParkRun, taking 6 minutes off my time from the previous year. So it works from a fitness perspective plus the trainers and the other members of the group are a really likeable bunch of people. I would heartily recommend One Element to anyone interested in getting fitter, no matter what your current standard or goals.

Tuesday nights would not be the same without a dose of One Element circuit training...

I have been a member of One Element for six years and find it hard to imagine life without my Tuesday session.

Tom's ethos is about providing a fun but highly energetic circuit session.
If you a looking for a fitness challenge, this training is for you. Although i should point out that it is aimed at all ages and abilities and the sessions are tailored to suit the differing levels.

No session is the same and you will leave the park feeling like you worked hard and will definitely have gained something as a result. This buzz enticies you back week on week...and for some several times a week.

Here's to getting fitter in 2015 !!

The fantastic One Element

One Element is the best thing I do all week! Circuits is a really brilliant way to get fit and the One Element team are fantastic at encouraging you and making you try your hardest. It doesn't matter what level you are, whether you are incredibly fit or whether you are extremely unfit (like me) you will get a brilliant work out. The touch rugby on Saturday is lots of fun and there is a brilliant atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome even if, like me, you have never played rugby before!

super fun outdoor fitness

I have been doing one element fitness sessions for around 5 years - it has become a really solid part of what I do. The sessions are hard work, fun and there are always opportunities to meet up with fellow one elementers for a drink or at another organised outdoor activity such as water skiing or tennis. My favourite sessions are the informal touch rugby games. Highly recommend.
