£100 charge for 3 minutes while dropping off the kids. The letter reached me more than 14 days after the alledged incident but none of this matters to One Parking Solution.

£100 fine for 8 minutes

I've just moved into a new flat and the only place I could park to unload some furniture is in their carpark, becase their carpark is the only way to my flat. I was there for 8 mintes and they have sent me a fine for £100. What am I supposed to do? I now have to pay this fine and have no way of moving my stuff into my flat. I can't challenge it becase if I lose I won't be able to pay the a more expensive rate. This is completely unfair.

Charging £100 for 2 minutes over their grace period for an app and parking meter that doesn't work properly! Horrendous, customer service rep muted us after speaking to them claiming they couldn't hear us to then appeal process which after reading the reviews appear to be still pressured to pay.
We paid for 7 hours and left that car park after 5 hours and yet still asking for £100 even though the 2 hours left covers 2 minutes that they're charging £100 for.

Unjustified Parking rules for PCN OPS1024322 by One Parking Solution Ltd

A PCN OPS1024322 was sent to our address stating that the car was return to the Oxford Road Retail Park location in 60 minutes on 12th March 2023. The registered keeper of the car nor the other person were unable to recall why they should be in the same location twice in a day. Therefore, requested for the exact location and address but this company has not provided them in the first place rather the company rejected the appeal without giving any valid reason. Also started sending debt collection letter for £170 for just going to a retail shop twice in an hour.

We tried to contact with Lidl customer services and their CEO but they are unable to help on this issue. As they are actually encouraging this kind of cowboy organisation to rip off their customers, we have decided not to go for shopping in Lidl. I will urge others not to go to Lidl if they don't lift this kind irrational and unreasonable parking rules the return on the premises in 60/90/120 etc hours.

Is this justified and reasonable rules for a shopper to pay a parking fine just to go their for twice? Can this kind of cowboy organisation tell the shopper how many times and when they should visit to a shop?

Following are the reasons the PCN OPS1024322 is invalid and needs to be cancelled immediately:
- No mention of exact address of the parking contravention in the PCN.
- No evidence provided that the same driver returned to the exact same parking spot.
- No evidence is provided that the disabled card holder cannot return their card twice in 60 minutes.
- Above all, no organisation cannot tell shoppers how many times they should go to a retail shop. It's their choice how many times and when they should go to the retail shop.

A shopper may return to a retail shop for many reasons. i.e. forgot to buy some urgent medicine or baby foods, they might leave their valuable things like wallet, credit/debit cards or the product they bought from the retail shop etc etc. Why on earth, the shoppers be penalised by this kind of irrational parking rule of No Return in 60 minutes by an organisation?

Avoid any retail shop including Lidl if they have this kind of unreasonable parking rules implemented by the so called parking management company who's sole intention is to make money not to manage a parking place.

How can these greedy robbers still be…

How can these greedy robbers still be in operation . As with hundreds of others i receieved a ticket when i had paid. Unfortunately i paid by cash so have no proof i paid though the cctv should surely pick up people paying? The villagers need to band together and get rid of them because they will destroy it. Everyone is vowing never to return. Absolutely livid with them hoping they get their comeuppance soon.

Absolutely dispicable company

Absolutely dispicable company. Handing out a fine where it's not warranted. Cherry picking random cars from a number in the spaces for a specific company. They will always deny appeals even when they are in the wrong! Total morons! Landowners who choose to use this disgraceful company should be aware and the shops will soon lose business because of this. The CEO is an absolute joke, no morals whatsoever, he should be ashamed of himself!

Scammers

This company sent me parking notice of 170 pounds. I refused to pay as I didn't go out that day and told them to provide me the exact location where the car was parked. They didn't bother to response rather they appointed debt collection agency to collect the money. In the letter, they mentioned that the car was that unknown road twice for which I have to pay. This company is totally scam and try to rip off people.

Inhumane

Absolutely inhumane.
I had a 4 month old baby in the car and I could not safely park anywhere else while I tended to her. I was in the car parking spot for less than 5 minutes. The baby and car seat are evident in the photos they sent me as evidence.
I also didn't recieve the letter u til 14 days were up so had no choice but to pay the full £100. I am only receiving maternity pay.
They refused my appeal.

Disgusting company

Totally unethical disgusting company. Before imposing a fine, the company must provide dissent services. It takes a long time to download the APP on its own and these fraudulent companies use it to make a profit. Not surprised to see 100% 1 star out of 123 respondents. Why did officials allow this company to work with such a rating? Money talk? Penalty charged to spend more than 10 minutes before managed to pay parking for 8 hours stay. Any refund for 8 hours of parking as I have to pay a fine??

One Parking Solutions are a disgrace

They are a disgrace do not park in Vantage Point Brighton BN1 4GW I went to park there at 12.02pm I had to update the Poppay app which took ages then I tried several times to pay and the app keeps crashing. It was 12.20pm and I was starting a course at 12.30pm I had to find somewhere else. As I drove to the exit a van had parked across it and refused to move until they had unloaded. I left the car park at 12.24pm. Why would I park in a car park for 24 minutes not & leave the car park when I can park free for 90 minutes in the Sainsburys car park 50 yards away! I received a fine for £100! I appealed immediately and it took them all of a couple of hours to investigate and reject. I suffer with a severe anxiety disorder CPTSD which I told them I’m assuming that they’d just reject it as I wouldn’t take it further to to my mental illness (which is classed as a disability) I have emailed their directors Val Capon Mark Lynch & Gavin Price no doubt they won’t bother replying.

You have to experience it to believe it!!!!

Hi,
I am writing as a discovered your post on the llangrannogwelfare.org site.
We recently visited this lovely quaint location to pay our last respects to a dear friend, neighbour and client, she frequented this location many times and passed a leaflet to me prior to her passing and I vowed to attend and follow in her footsteps, all this we did and had an amazing day and was looking forward to returning again soon.

However, on the day, we arrived there was a lot of commotion in the car park with people huddled together or rushing around trying to get a signal to gain access to the parking machine or make an online payment.
There really was a lot of stress and frustration with people panicking due to being told you have 10 mins to get paid, unfortunately, were informed some weeks later after arriving home we had not made payment within the 10 min grace period and despite paying for a whole day and explaining the full and detailed circumstances they have said we have no choice but to pay the £100.00.

I will not be paying the £100.00 and I will go to court if it warrants this action, I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life, we paid, and we not avoiding payment or taking advantage of the remote location, this is absurd.

I will be writing back to them following the receipt of a letter informing me my appeal was unsuccessful.

Scam artists!

Scam artist!
Parked my car in Shoreham airport on March 19 and when I went to pay found out the machine wasn’t working. I took a video of the machine to prove this and avoid future issues. However I didn’t hear anything until today when I received a letter from the debt recovery company, telling me that I owe them £150 and if not, I will probably have to go to court to get this resolved. I tried to contact one parking solution, but they only have a website which requires a ticket number ( no contact telephone number) which obviously I don’t have because I don’t have any letters from them and the debt recovery company won’t provide the reference! It’s a good game.

If I pay the fine, I’ll never get it back and if I don’t, I’ll risk having to go to court and I live 180km away, Catch 22! All they need to say is that they have sent a letter and your stuck.
Never been threatened with solicitors over any payment before! I’ve complained to the British parking association but given that they only have a one star review I’m not hopeful. Let’s see

One Parking Solution Elm Park Car Park, Hornchurch

One Star is too much for this organisation should be zero stars. I parked at Elm Park Car Park and was issued a PCN for paying 13 minutes after entering the car park. Despite multiple efforts I could not get the Poppay app to connect but when I eventually did it was apparently 3 minutes after the 10 minute grace period that my payment was taken. When I appealed to OPS it was dismissed within a very short time period - they probably have a standard template letter as there was no consideration given to the fault of Poppay payment method. Perhaps this is because OPS and Poppay have the same Director (Mr Val Capon)at the same registered address!….dubious at best!!…corrupt at worst!! I will be taking this matter to court and let the judge decide !!!

Hidden parking rules

I got fined £100 for having parked 12 minutes in a 30 minutes max parking area because we left and came back and parked for another 7 minutes. So 17 minutes parked in total. But it turns out that there is a no-return within 1 hour policy. There is one clear sign near the entry stating 30 minutes max (big letters readable from the car as you drive in) and several signs with lots of very small text. You would have to walk up to those signs to read the literal small print. I agree with others here that they seem to be setting customers up for fines. In other places the 'no-return' would have been written right below the 30 minutes max on the main sign. I appealed, explaining that I was driving my adult son with multiple learning disabilities to post a parcel who had forgotten his phone etc and that we had to drive back home and came straight back and that to him it feels he is being punished for his difficulties in focusing and remembering things. No sympathy and they still claim the signage is clear, which it clearly isn't.

Terrible company and unfair appeals…

Terrible company and unfair appeals process. I am now being threatened to pay a £60 fine for a one minute temporary stop to read their sign as I didn't know it was private parking and there was only one way to turn around, which was to continue down the street and exit that way. It is a custom designed trap. If I appeal to POPLA then I have to pay £100 if that is unsuccessful. Shameful company.

Worthing Guildborne Centre

I parked for about 2 minutes without getting out of my car. Even had my emergency lights on as I was checking where to go on my phone. I appealed and was unsuccessful. I find charging someone for 2 minutes is too much!

I went to Llangrannog with 2 disabled family members. We used the car park for an hour. It was a blustery wet late afternoon. The car park was empty. I didn't notice any signs saying I needed to pay. We have 2 blue badges. On returning home, I find we have a fine of £100 for not paying for parking. Since when did people have to pay to park in tiny places out of season? The world's gone mad!
