They work and strive hard with the broker to get the customer a good and affordable deal. They also try to keep Interest payments as low as they can. But as a customer we rely on the broker who deal with the lender. There is never at any time are you pressured into any deal. That's why I have given the ratings I gave.

Easy transaction

My experience with Oodle Finance has been extremely disappointing.

I financed a vehicle that developed a serious engine fault within approximately 500 yards of collecting it. Over the following months, the vehicle was repeatedly returned to the supplying dealer with recurring faults, including multiple unsuccessful repair attempts and referral to the manufacturer.

After giving the dealer several opportunities to repair the vehicle, I exercised my right to reject it through Oodle Finance.

I was disappointed that Oodle appeared to place significant weight on a final diagnostic report stating "no fault found", despite the extensive history of recurring faults, replacement parts, repeated visits to the dealership and the manufacturer's involvement. In my view, the full history of the vehicle and the repeated unsuccessful repair attempts were not given sufficient consideration.

Throughout this process I continued making monthly finance payments under an agreement with a total repayable amount of around £25,000, while having very limited use of the vehicle and relying on courtesy cars.

Although communication from Oodle was generally professional, I do not feel my complaint was investigated fairly or that the evidence I provided was fully considered. As a result, I have had no option but to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service for an independent review.

I hope Oodle will carefully review cases like mine in the future and take greater account of the full repair history, rather than relying primarily on the outcome of a single inspection where an intermittent fault could not be reproduced.
