Totally shocking service

Totally shocking service. Nobody cares about anything. Nobody calls you. Everybody emails. Totally chaotic incompetant people.They literally thrown back 20 pages A4 vaccination proofs 50x times. I would like to get paid what they get honestly I would do a better job paying attention to details.
They want to force people to travel to either Birmingham or Milton Keynes for a check up. I am sure if they would look better details about vaccination it would save times people not to travel 3 hrs something could have been checked or done previously.
I would give 0 * if I could.
Dreadful service.

Unimpressed by What I experienced

Not impressed with either of my two recent Optima work adjustment Occ Health assessments. I needed to correct one assessment to accurately capture what I had told them during our brief 20 mins consultation. Optima also underpinned their report assessment recommendations by using overtly passive wording: by pointing out to my employer - their paying client - that what they recommended for me was 'guidance' and that they were within their rights to ignore these changes if they felt that they couldn't accommodate them. I wondered what the point of the exercise was, on reading this statement.

Despite Optima's invitation for me to edit the report before it was sent to my boss to read, this turned out to be a whitewash too, because when I did attempt to de-passify the original wording by firming it up a bit - to give their recommendations a bit of conviction - they refused my changes and threatened to withdraw the report instead, if I didn't agree to their original passive stance.

Overall, my Optima Occ Health experience felt more like a tick box process-driven exercise, designed to appease my employer's possible need to refuse any changes, rather than to do the right thing by me by supporting my health needs, as required by law.

Very frustrating

Very frustrating! I have been asked for documents several times and have sent them three times now! Also, I have received an email saying your occupational health assessment for a new job has been completed and then I get a reminder to resend the documents! I will be feeding back to my new employer!!!

Terrible service

I had my OH appointment today, for my lower back issues i have been suffering for years. I have informed the nurse of the fact, that i was in previous car accident. Since then i had lower back issues and back in my country, I used to do physio and magnetic ultrasound therapy. The nurse didn’t include that on my report at all…. She actually wrote that i am suffering from “acute lower back pain, that will only last 3d to 1 week and eventually go away”…… I was asked if this pain somehow impacts my day to day life home, and i said yes. I do in fact struggle with having to stand still in one spot, therefore even a simple task of standing over a sink washing dishes is causing me pain and discomfort. I then was asked, what are my limitations regarding heavy lifting. And i have answered truthfully, that I am struggling to even carry a bag of groceries home, without having to constantly stop and move around somehow to ease the pain. Again, none if this was included in my health assessment report?? In fact, i was deemed to be “fit for work all duties” and “ no adjustments required “….

Absolutely hideous job

Absolutely hideous job, started working and was never given any training, when I didn’t know how to do something, I would ask managers and then they would write me up a meeting with them saying that I should just know. Only reason I know anything about my job is because I’ve figured it out for myself! Management are awful, over work you for minimum wage. Management very unprofessional, saying things out of pocket and making you feel uncomfortable. Intimidation they love to use on you here, they will bully you!
Also say goodbye to annual leave because they will take it away when it’s already been approved last minute because they need you in! Awful working environment, offices grim and don’t think have been cleaned since 1973. Often no hand soap or loo roll, and say goodbye to tea and coffee! No staffroom. Incredibly understaffed no wonder! So will work you like a dog with no consideration having you do a thousand things at once! Be prepared to be micromanaged and treated like a child, constantly analysing everything you do and why you did it! Expect you to answer 50 emails a day whilst running a clinic, booking appointments, answering the phone that will never stop , running to grab bloods and vacs, having employees come in all day and a hundred other things! Also be prepared to be a personal secretary for the nurses and a IT technician.
Will also expect you to do all of this whilst management do nothing apart from bagger you on why you haven’t started the million other things they need you do!
Also, when you are looking for another job to leave optima HR will make a direct call to your manager to tell them you are actively looking to leave, and yes this actually happened!
No sick days here! They will give you a formal meeting and warning for having a chest infection for 2 days off and expect doctors notes!
Ladies and gentleman welcome to the modern day work house!
If you like the sound of all this then apply they would love the opportunity to run you into the ground and spit you out!

bad experience

I found the nurse dismissive and invalidating, and she ignored a large part of my medical history and reports my manager had sent. Nearly as dystopian as dealing with DWP. Absolutely awful that NHS Trusts are sub contracting to these people

A really poor service so far..

A really poor service so far. My employer referred me for an t/c assessment Optima called me to confirm the first apt. They missed ths first apt and when i queried this, they made a new one sending two letters to my home address stating the time for the 2nd apt stating that i had missed the first apt! Optima didnt keep mt second t/c apt and when i called them, they stated i should allow for 10 minutes either side of the apt time. When i advised that this time period had already elapsed, they advised that they needed more info from my employer before they could complete their assessment! Theyve now sent two net letters confirming the time for my next apt and stating that i had missed the second apt! Not happy with this at all!! My employer is aware that i havent missed any apts but this companies level of service, accuracy, integrity and reliability is certaintly called into question given my experience!

Fantastic service

Fantastic service, we had a very challenging job to run some ducting in a very confined space, three other companies refused to even attempt the work but the guys from Optima got it done quicker than quoted & at the price they quoted. All their guys from apprentices to supervisors were very pleasant & professional, couldn't recommend them enough.

Fitting of boiler

Very pleased with this company when fitting our new boiler. Every detail from helping us decide which boiler was best for us right through to installing the boiler was faultless. The fitter was courteous and very polite and tidy. Would reccomend optima every time

Boiler Service

The engineer who came to do the service was very polite and professional. He also fixed a fault with the flue as the seal wasn't working properly. I thought this would have cost extra but he just carried on and fixed it. Great service. Thanks

Excellent Service!

Very pleased with the service from Optima. We had a new boiler fitted. Excellent job done! Staff are very knowledgeable & friendly. It's a big decision having work carried out on your home. Everything was explained each step of the way. The workmen arrived early, worked hard & carried out the job in a professional manner, leaving our home tidy & safe. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished outcome! The shower is amazing, more powerful, the boiler looks neat & tidy, we have more space where the old tanks & boiler used to be, the controls are easy to use & it's safer & more energy efficient. It will eventually save us money on our bills. There are plenty of payment plans available. We chose the 12 months, interest free option, making it easier to spread the cost. The new boiler is covered by a warranty. You can also receive money back from your local Council for upgrading your boiler to a more energy efficient one. Glad we went ahead. Will definitely recommend Optima to others. Very happy customers.

Good work overall

The quality of the workmanship on the whole was good and the few issues with minor leaks etc were attended to satisfactorily. Considering that the boiler had to be re-sited and all new pipes put in, they worked vey hard to complete it in under three days with the minimum of disruption

A Job well done!

The quote from Optima was competitive and the installation was first class. Whilst they were not the cheapest they gave me a certain confidence that they could do a good job. I had felt they would be good value as I was requesting an upgrade to my central heating with a new boiler with an extra heating zone along with the latest of smart controls. Their very competent staff impressed me. All in all a highly professional installation completed to very high standard indeed. Whilst we had a minor issue it was deal with in the manner I had come to expect of Optima. Highly recommended.

We had some issues with the placement …

We had some issues with the placement of the Magna Clean unit which was unsightly, the careless manner in which a new kitchen cupboard had been cut to accommodate the boiler and brick debris that was not cleaned up on completion, however, this was rectified in an acceptable manner a couple of weeks after the installation.
