Would always recommend OS as a keen walker. Their maps are the best out there. The phone app is no different and is extremely useful especially for the low price that they charge. A must for anyone needing to navigate.

OS maps are the goto definitive UK map. Awesome detail and accuracy. I just love them. The waterproofed ones are great for walkers and mountaineers. I also subscribe to the digital OS maps app on my phone. So essential that if I had to cut back my outgoings, I would get rid of every other subscription in my life before I ever considered ditching OS maps.

The app in Premium format is a most useful one to have handy. I use it for walking directions. From planning a route to finding an efficient way to get to a destination, I am very glad I have access to OS maps - right across the country

I love my OS app and use it quite a bit. I am slightly biased because i have always admired OS mapping, although I am ashamed to say my maps are now unused as i use the app instead.
The app is evolving and introducing new features. It's not perfect, but getting there.

The map ordered arrived safely and in good time

Initially I had to complain about the OS Maps policy of automatic subscription renewals. I called Customer Service to discuss this and the response I received was really unhelpful. The agent implied I was at fault because (he said) the OS website gave clear directions about how to change the automatic subscription process.
In fact, he was wrong, and his attitude was uncooperative. The Digital Markets, Competitions (DMCC) Act 2024 clearly sets out the obligations companies have towards their customers, and the agent was totally ignorant of these. Eventually, after a couple of blind attempts to find an email address I could use to register a complaint (OS Maps ought to make this easier to find too!) my complaint was acknowledged and a case file was opened.
I was advised that OS Maps are in the process of updating their systems to be compliant with the DMCC Act, and that the agent would receive training to bring him up to speed with the Act.
What a pity that OS Maps had not planned the staff retraining well in advance of the Act, as advised by the implementation guidance within it, because if they had, my experience would have been so much better. Especially, as the app is so good, and is properly supported by well informed technical staff.

I renewed my OS digital subscription. I walk on a weekly basis with a friend and, using this app, I am able to plan a more interesting walk across footpaths through fields instead of walking pavements. The beauty of it for me is that if I reach a junction and I’m not sure which way to go, a look at the app shows me the route I’ve plotted, my location along that route and the direction to follow. As long as I continue to walk I will continue to renew my subscription, it’s worth every penny. I should say we do most of our walking in the Fens and the Wolds, only occasionally venturing into the Peak District and staying low when we do. We are not adventurous scramblers through high peaks or mountains although I believe the app would be as useful if we did. If we did I would plan a route and save it to my phone so it was accessible even without a signal. I’d also make sure I packed a paper map and a compass and that I knew how to use both.

Excellent customer service, my new subscription was dealt with quickly and effectively. Follow up query was handled extremely quickly and efficiently.

The best reference for UK countryside, just wish they had international partnerships with the same level of detail!

I am now on my third year using OS maps. I use it for hillwalking with friends each week and although we usually have paper map with us it is a useful check that we are where we think we are!

After putting my post code onto the site to check which map I needed , when it arrived, the area was not there but appears to just go onto the next map. A great map so I kept it but still don't know which one has our address on.
(After reading my review, OS Customer Service has now refunded me even though I was happy to keep the map!) Can't complain about that for customer care.
