Can’t recommend and won’t use again.

Ordered glasses on 10/19. Website said estimated shipping time was 9-12 days. They were shipped 11/13. It is now 11/26 and I still don’t have them. They have been at FedEx since 11/18 because of “Clearance delay - Import”. Customer service just apologized, said it’s not normal and should be sent soon. I tried to put in a ticket with FedEx to have it addressed but I’m not sure it will help.
Update 11/29 - still no status change on FedEx.

we checked and Fedex correctly delivered your parcel on December 2nd. 
We apologize for the long delivery time that has been unexpected and out of our control. US Customs made some unusual random controls on import packages and this caused delays in the deliveries. 
We promptly sent to Fedex all the documents they requested to release the package.
We ship glasses all over the world since more than 20 years and we have never had such a long delivery time.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and we assure you that now Customs clearance process is back to normal.

I bought a pair of Sunglasses from
Otticanet online. There was a 13% Black Friday discount which I forgot to add-on before completing my order. So basically I bought it Full Price. I wrote them an email to kindly refund the 13%, not expecting much response. To my pleasant surprise I got not only an email acknowledging my request, but also the refund under 24hrs. Common, that’s what I call Fantastic Customer Service. Thank you Otticanet. I will definitely do business with you over & over again and recommend you too.

The best customer support you will ever find

I had finalized my purchase when I realized the discount code they had emailed me had not been entered and the full cost was charged on my purchase.. I emailed them explaining I didn't enter my discount code and would they be able to credit my card after the purchase had been completed.
Of course! they said they could do that for me and they went immediately to credit the discount to my purchase. Have you ever experienced that kind of customer care from other companies? I haven't! The ususual response would be “Sorry, we can't do that but you have 30 days to use it on your next purchase from us.”

Misleading pricing for Swiss customers – not transparent / expect additional charges

I recently ordered glasses from Otticanet’s Swiss site. The checkout page clearly showed “Shipping: Kostenlos" – there was no visible mention of customs duties, VAT, or handling fees.

Only after completing the purchase did I receive an email saying I either had to pay an extra CHF 20 for Otticanet to handle Swiss customs or cover all import taxes and VAT myself. The only “warning” about this was hidden behind a small info icon — not visible unless you click it.

For a site targeting Swiss consumers, this is misleading. When a company advertises shipping to Switzerland in CHF with “free delivery,” customers should not have to figure out customs fees after paying.

⚠️ Swiss buyers beware: prices shown on their Swiss site do not include import taxes or VAT, even though it looks like they do. Expect extra costs unless you pay at least CHF 20 fee which might vary as well. Very misleading and cannot recommend buying from them!

On our website we indicate that shipping is free to Switzerland, as we don't ask anything for the shipment from Italy to Switzerland by Fedex. It is on our charge.

The 20 CHF request is a special service we offer to our Swiss customers. They add 20 CHF and we take care of al the taxes/duties/handling fees on behalf of the customer.
Taxes/duties/handling costs don't depend on us, but they are requested by your country's Customs as you are importing goods from a European Union country.

Please consider that all the prices you see from Switzerland are VAT free.

As per your request, we have already canceled your order and refunded your payment.

Very disappointing

I am very disappointed about the performance. To get no clear response and ongoing telling your customer that the glasses are supposed to be shipped in 6-7 days and this continuously over months is not acceptable. Most of the times it is better to be transparent. Trust broken.

We order all out of stock items to the official suppliers, that's why we provided you with a new estimated shipping date.

In your case, after ordering your glasses to the official manufacturer a delay in production took place, unfortunately.
When the glasses are in production, we can only wait for the end of the production process.

Since you could not wait for your glasses, we canceled your order and we refunded your payment.

I ordered sunglasses and had to return…

I ordered sunglasses and had to return them. While I did eventually receive a full refund, it required weeks of follow-up, multiple emails, and providing detailed proof of return (tracking receipts, invoices, etc.).

The return was only processed after persistent communication on my part. The product itself was authentic, but the return process was frustrating and delayed.

Advice for future buyers: If you shop here, keep all receipts, emails, and tracking numbers in case you need to return something. The refund did come through, but it was not a smooth experience.

Very bad

Very bad; they quote you in CHF (my currency) but then customs and VAT apply! So I ended up paying 40 chf more which equals to the price here in store. A fuir!

never buy from here

Excellent sunglasses and smooth delivery

- I see a lot of people have a problem with stock, I think the solution is - before you place your order and on the actual page of the item before it's in your bag, they write "this item is in stock". Mine was and that's why I didn't have any complications - make sure that little note is there before you order!

Last week I read reviews here before I ordered and was quite nervous, but my sunglasses were only available on their website with no alternative options so I went for it. Everything from start to finish was so smooth and the delivery arrived to Australia in about 6 days! The glasses are in excellent condition.

Company is total garbage

Company is total garbage. I’ve ordered sunglasses on 9th May , it’s already June 22th. They haven’t shipped them out. No response. Just charged money. OTS-6552 Total waste of money and time. Avoid this company !!!

I purchased two pairs of sunglasses…

I purchased two pairs of sunglasses from Otticanet.it, initially thinking I was getting a good deal. Later, I bought the exact same models from an official Saint Laurent store. Upon comparing them side by side, the differences were immediately noticeable: the engravings were different, the lens quality was inferior, and the material—particularly the aluminum—felt lighter and of much lower quality.

Concerned, I contacted Otticanet’s customer service to report that the sunglasses I received appeared to be counterfeit. Their response was dismissive: they claimed they only sell authentic products and told me I would need to cover the £25.00 return shipping cost via DHL, without offering any real investigation or assistance.

To be sure, I visited an official Saint Laurent boutique, where the staff confirmed that the sunglasses purchased from Otticanet were not genuine. Based on this professional evaluation, I have now taken legal action against the company.

I strongly advise others to be cautious: based on my experience, Otticanet.it is not a trustworthy retailer. In my opinion, they are selling fake designer eyewear and provide poor customer support. If you are looking for authentic products and reliable service, stay away from this site.

NO UPDATE, NO PRODUCT

Today is now June 3, i placed my order back on april 25. emailed customer service twice 2 days in a row with no update or reply, I'm really worried i got scammed as i ordered two sunglasses and now out $700 (canadian dollars) i'm so upset!!!!!!!! this is my first order with Otticanet and turned out to be a nightmare....DO NOT recommend and please stay away and learn from my mistake.

Order from them now!

Amazing customer service. Every single email was responded to without hesitation. These glasses got to the US from Italy in a quick fashion. The glasses are perfect and for about half the price I would have paid at the store. Very happy. Will definitely buy from them again.
