Absolutely horrible customer service. Just moved and didn’t realize I had put a wrong shipping address. Tried to correct the issue within an hour of purchase but of course the customer service line was closed for the night. Called them the next morning..was told they would try to cancel the order. No update, no tracking. Turns out the Item got delivered to the wrong address three days later after our phone call. Now I’m on the hook for the purchase. Overstock is never getting business from me now. Absolute trash customer service.

I ordered a loveseat. I checked to ensure it would deliver by Thanksgiving so I would have help putting it together. It didn't. It delivered the day after so I had to assemble it myself. Not difficult, just heavy. But the arms were incorrectly labeled in regards to assembly, but this was easily remedied
But the the back section was 2 inches too short so it didn't fit into the glides. I have emailed 4 times, sent photos, and called twice. It is now 4 business days and there is no resolution. I have twice been sent a video telling me to get another person to assist with reassemble the thing but the video was for a completely different piece of furniture. This is too heavy for me to gather up and put back in the box to return. I am aghast at the lack of effort to help me. All I need is a replacement back section of the correct length. I will never order so much as a ribbon from Overstock again.

Terrible decision to buy a e-bike from overstock for $80 I was scammed by this company

Worse place to purchase . Purchased a man’s wedding ring. It was so cheaply made. I had to return it. Was charged 27 dollars to return this cheap piece. So disappointed. Never again.

We ordered a sectional that arrived shrink-wrapped. When we opened the box, we discovered the fabric on one piece didn’t match the rest. We sent photos and requested a refund, which the company approved — but the shrink-wrapped cushions won’t fit back into the original box. Now we’re being forced to spend $127 on packing materials and deliver the sofa ourselves to a UPS location. We asked for a gift card to cover the cost, and they refused.
Their customer service is disappointing, and it’s clear why this company has an overall 1-star rating. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.

Overstock should change it's name to OUTASTOCK!! They sell you an item and even create a label then it says "delayed" because they did not have the item to begin with so they should not charge you until it ships but they do! Then they say they can't cancel it because it still may ship. 5 days to find out it's out of stock and another 3 to 5 to get my refund. 2 times!! They said their other warehouse had it but it did not!! This company has gone way downhill since it first opened and was great!

Tried getting new items for my move since I left my home state. This place never delivered my items. Not sure if it’s a scam but I will be disputing my charges.

My wife and I ordered the MAISON ARTS Cast Aluminum Dining Chairs/Patio Dining Set with Round Dining Table & 6 Cast Aluminum Patio Chairs. We were excited to see that Overstock had an end of season giant sale at over 70% off.

We both separately looked at the item we thought we were getting. We discussed it and each of us agreed that we were getting a full patio set with six chairs, based on our independent review of the overstock.com website description for the product.

When we added the product to our overstock.com shopping cart, the website stated that we had added the MAISON ARTS Cast Aluminum Dining Chairs/Patio Dining Set with Round Dining Table & 6 Cast Aluminum Patio Chairs to the cart, whose color was “2-Piece-Fixed Chairs.” We interpreted that as meaning we were getting whatever that color was on the chairs shown in the picture.

We placed our order on 7/27/2025 for $337. No mention was made in the confirmation email that we had ordered only 2 chairs.

Much to our surprise, instead of the full patio set, we received just 2 chairs. And for those 2 chairs, we were being charged the now ridiculous price of $337 – $168 per chair. That was certainly not a big end of season bargain at 70% off.

We had no desire to have two chairs that don’t match anything. We initiated a return, requesting a full refund. Overstock.com refunded us $253 – the purchase price less $84 for shipping the 2 chairs back. We requested that overstock.com absorb the $84 shipping fee since the website was misleading. But they refused to refund us the shipping, saying it was their policy plus we (the customer) misread the website.

Never again!

Overstock posted a $108 item online, took the $108 and emailed me asking for $125 instead of the $108. This seemed odd to me. I’ve tried to call them only to hear, “this person cannot accept calls at this time.” Additionally, I’ve emailed them as well with no response in a week’s time. What I have received are emails asking for more money. I should have researched these Pirates before I made any purchase. I read that they were legit but looked into them no further. Overstock, or what I thought was overstock, has stolen my funds with impunity. The only reason I gave them a star at all was to show how poorly they conduct business. In reality they should receive no stars. Don’t go to them for anything!

Overstock will steal your money, and send nothing, and laugh. Trust me. They are Alibaba, yet Alibaba won't take accountability for them. Report them to the police, FBI, ect.

They advertised items and I purchased them and wasn't sent the items. Given excuses they have marketing errors, they will ship it back to them for free, they can't stop that process or give me a refund without return. They said they will at times show pictures of product that isn't accurate and they aren't obligated to provide the product.

They will delay an item that they do not have and not send you a notification that they don't have the item. They will never get any of my business ever again. It's a mess. I will be making a complaint with the BBB as well...

I contacted Bed and Bath as soon as I placed my order, when I noticed it had my old address so that it could be corrected. I was transferred to multiple people, and no one helped correct my address or stop the shipment. Days later, they went ahead and shipped the order to my old address. Now I was charged for an order I will never receive. I contacted UPS, and again, no one changed my address. This package was delivered to an address 5 to 6 hours away from where I live, and I have no idea who has it. I expected more from Customer Service and from Corporate, which I contacted; however, they refused to help me. I would appreciate it if someone from corporate could contact me regarding this issue. Additionally, your website was experiencing significant problems, frequently freezing up. 3 Bed sheets ordered. Never Recieved

Sells faulty bad products with no aftersales service

I will never shop with Overstock.com again, due to their terrible return and refund policies. I just went through a big relationship change and move, which left me having to build a home from scratch. Against my better judgement, I bought a couch online from Overstock.com, without obvs trying it out in person. But they advertise throughout the process that you can return items if you're not happy, so I figured my purchase was low-risk.

When it was delivered & put together, I found it very & cute and a perfect size for the space, but SO hard to sit on. A few friends agreed and I decided that I'd return it.

First, Overstock advised me to drop it at a UPS. HUH?! It's a couch that was delivered, in no less than 3 giant boxes. I don't have my own moving truck to bring all of this to UPS.

Second, they advised that they could ararrange a pickup for a significant fee, plus $150 for UPS. In the end, I would have had to pay almost 50% in return fees, compared to what I'd paid in total for the couch.

I decided begrudgingly, that I would just keep it instead of being out ~$400 bucks. You get what you pay for, I guess.

In that same order, I bought an electric toothbrush, which stopped working after 3-4 months. At first, their support team seemed promising, but in the end they said they got no response from the manufacturer, aside from telling me to charge the thing (yeah, I did that, about 3 times overnight and it still didn't work)... and then said since there was no warranty and I was outside of the return period, they couldn't do ANYTHING. Unbelievable, they don't stand by what they sell and they make returns totally not worth it.

I wish that I had gone with another retailer, but moving forward, I will NEVER EVER EVER buy from them again. They can keep their crappy products, but not anymore of my hard-earned money.

Wish I could give NO STARS rating! DO NOT SHOP HERE! Ordered a Gucci Belt (EXPENSIVE). They would not give measurements prior to ordering and states NO RETURNS. I ordered a belt and needed to EXCHANGE it. I wanted the belt, there is NO POLICY SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT EXCHANGES. It's been months now in dispute! Never ordering anything from here again!

The product description said the rug I bought had a beige background. When it arrived, I was surprised to see gold and yellow in the background, not beige. Calling customer service was an exercise in frustration. The agent was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. He just kept repeating the same stock phrases, never responding to what I said (brick wall treatment.) He expected me to pay nearly $90 to return the rug when the product misrepresentation was clearly their fault. Never shopping Overstock again.

Zero stars in my book. Received a crappy product and no one ever responded to my concerns. I’ve reached out 3 times.

Received package that was damaged. After opening, discovered that product inside was also damaged. Contacted "Beyond Customer Care on June 27. No response... I have contacted them via their email three times since the first contact... still no response as of July 23... I attempted to call but was told that it would be a 108 minute wait. I will never purchase from Overstock again and would advise others not to order. Read this and many other similar reviews. Update: Overstock refunded the purchase price of the item. But instead of handling it in a timely manner, it took a month before receiving any communication. The poor review could have been prevented with a response in a reasonable amount of time.

This fire pit table is great. Packaged well, Looks better than I expected, no setup issues.
The problem that I have is with Overstock's customer service department.
In the description for this item, there is a list labeled "Package Includes"
Along with with the Fire pit table, Tool kit and instruction manual, it also states Free Lava Rocks and 2 bags of Fire Glass.
Also one of the pictures of this item showed that there was a special promotion that stated if you buy in the month of June you would receive a free bag of Fire glass.
After I had my Fire Pit Table all unboxed and set up, I called Overstock's customer service department to get some assurance that the fire glass was being shipped in a different package.
They told me that fire glass was sold separately. When I pointed out that the description stated there was free fire glass included and the special promotion for the month of June, they continued their "sold separately" stance.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and they told me someone would call me back as they were all in a meeting. No call back after another day so I called again. This time I reached someone that seemed more sympathetic to my problem and they escalated my call and gave me a Case Number. After a few days they contacted me and reiterated the "Sold Separately" mantra.
The lava rocks are not sufficient to cover the whole fire area, fire glass or more lava rocks are needed to hide the burner.
Based on my dealings with Overstock's customer service department, this is the last purchase I will make from Overstock.
