Totally misleading advertisement on Fox news. Clickbait. All of the information is available for free for anyone with 5 or 10 minutes and a mouse.
Highly recommend you avoid this one and watch it fall into the canyon of useless kiosk businesses that are aflush out here.
This is a sucker-bet business model.

Ownerly only had records going back to 1998, but my home was built in 1929! They should have had 96 years of records instead of a measly 27! I wanted to know for whom my house was built and who owned the land!

Reply from ownerly.com
the address was for the house next door..yes they own both. I caught a ghost on my camera phone she wanted me to see if we could try to find out who she could have been

Predatory marketing. They say it is going to be $1. Then they automatically sign you up for a subscription and change $41 right after that. Buyer beware

I admit I was confused and thought I was ordering a report on our property from Ownwell. Report I received was inaccurate as it didn’t even show us as owners. We bought this house in 2018. Was enough to cancel; but I got no more information than if I looked at my property on tax roll. Won’t call it a scam, just useless information.

I gave a cancelation confirmation so stop sending this

I have cancelled this THREE times, they keep trying to charge my card. I finally put a stop payment through my bank. I will try yet again, but at this point they are pretty scammy.

I went to search my own home and it wasn't even found!
I searched my neighbors and they did not find that house either. I searched my son's home and they had his. So out of 3 official homes 2 weren't even able to be found.
Not a good company if their % of recoveries is 1 out of 3 homes.
Canceled immediately

OK I am pleased to say that I found the right contact info to get to someone about my frustration. They cancelled my membership and returned the $37.50. So I have to give them a few stars for that. But you need to go to your treasurer.org for your state and you get much more correct information free.

Although I initially thought I wouldn't get a refund. Ownerly did do the right thing and credited the money that was charged to my PayPal account. Users, just be careful of what you click on. Most of these are innocent mistakes but you will be charged. I think the company does offer a solid service, it's just I didn't really need it at this time. Thank you, Ownerly

This company is a scam. I paid the $1.00 to receive a report and the report was worthless. I also cancelled the subscription immediately. I have not visited the site since then. They are now refusing to credit the $34.99 that I did not give them permission to debit. BEWARE!!! This company is a scam!!!

I got a free trial. It was clearly stated that you need to email to cancel the subscription before the free trial ended or you would be charged a $34.99 subscription fee. I searched for the address to a home I own. The information I received was identical to Zillow.com. Zillow.com is completely free for those that don't know. 3 days before the free trial ended, I used the email I signed up with to cancel my subscription. I was then repeatedly billed by them for $34.99. I had to send another email informing them that I would be contacting my lawyer if they didn't stop trying to charge me after I had followed their cancellation policy exactly. They did finally cancel my subscription within 5 minutes of me sending that last email.

The report I was given to value a property I was interested in buying had no more information than what was available online. Worthless.
I sent an email to the directed email address with the following copy and paste message "Cancel at any time, by calling 1-888-212-8460 or online by simply emailing support(@)ownerly.com." and haven't gotten a confirmation that I canceled.

I signed up for a trial. The search result was ok, however nothing special. 2 days later I cancelled, only to hear back saying they couldn't find my account and needed more info, which I provided. No refund but a new charge for the full amount. I guess they found my account. I protested again, well within the 7 day period, only to hear I didn't cancel in time. Be careful with these characters.

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a report for one property in Arizona (I could not find the info in public databases) and paid $5. After I paid the $5 there was no report with the record. Even worse, they charged my PayPal $34.99 three times! I requested a refund and they denied it. DO NOT give them your PayPal info.

Ownerly takes publicly available information on real estate and sells it in "reports" for $34.99 per month.
There free trial is "evergreened" into a monthly subscription in partnership through venmo(paypal) with access to ACH through your checking. Together venmo and Ownerly.com are taking advantage of retail customers. It's not billed through a VISA credit card that could more easily challenged and credited. Very little and highly questionable business practices.
Buyer BEWARE!

Told me there was a report available for a property. Paid $1 to access report and spent 20 mins setting up an "account". Comes up "no info available". I want my dollar back!

Super upset. I did realize that I signed up for a trial that needed to be canceled. Cannot figure out to cancel. Very upset.

Ownerly have a $1.00 offer for ONE report which I signed up for. I was surprised when later on I was charged $37.79 for a 25 report membership AUTOMATICALLY. I am mad as hell and cancelled right away. They will say read their terms when you sign up but that is not really in plain sight when you do. I suspect they designed their sign up service to grab easy money from the unsuspecting. Be very careful DO NOT sign up for their service.
