Customer Service

I use Australia Post for my smaller parcels and the difference in ease of use in booking freight is huge! Why do I have to attached two address labels on P and S? - why can;t P & S set up their online booking for Australia rather than customers having to select Australia. When a parcel delivery goes wrong - why do call centre girls use an excuse - "Oh - they're agents of ours - so it's not us who let you down" Your service could be so much better with just a little more common sense. Sadly a lot of courier services have similar issues - I have my account with you so would be nice if you could lift your game so Aussie small business can love you rather than put up with you!
Your responses to my original review don't respond to the issue of two labels per parcel and the excuse that you have an import service so all customers have to select Australia out of a list of countries around the world when they fill a consignment label is ridiculous. You just need to employ a half decent web page designer. If Aust post can do it - you can too!

20/02/2023 - Just before Christmas last year I sent an engraved timber sign to Tasmania. I understand the carrier was Star Track. It measured 120 x 40 x 4.5 cm and was delivered split down the middle. My signs are well made - in 25 years I have never had a breakage like this. It would have needed a lot of weight (eg forklift) to break like this. P&S advised that Star Track don't offer refunds for damaged freight - but other carriers do! It doesn't matter how careless they are (clearly they are) - there is no incentive for handlers to take reasonable duty of care. P&S choose Star Trek - not me! I am now dealing with another courier agent - their prices are half what I was paying with P & S they also use Star Track but for a price of $3 on a consignment similar to the above I get up to $1000 for damage or loss in transit

On the consignment number linked to your review, I can see that a data transmission error occurred when the booking was made, so it was necessary to rebook the pickup with the agent. With regard to your request for a default origin setting for Australia in the online booking portal, we also offer an import service into Australia so we require the customer to manually select the origin to ensure accuracy.
