Excellent Customer Service

Lauren responded very quickly to my plea for help regarding a booking I had made for delivery to Italy.
She corrected the customer information on the booking before I had despatched it and now it will not get held up at Customs.

Cancelling a booking

I had a problem with a company in China I was returning a package to. I booked a return with Parcel Broker. Lauren got in touch with me advising me of the problem with DPD Lite packages experiencing delays. I decided to cancel the return. Lauren helped me to get a refund. Thanks to Lauren for a great service.

I placed an order for parcel collection and made full payment. After payment, I sent photos of the packaging, and even paid a surcharge due to bubble wrap being used. At no point was I informed that certain packaging types would invalidate the insurance I paid extra for.

The collection was missed, wasting a full day. Later, I provided photos of the damaged boiler as well as proof of the driver carelessly throwing the boiler into the van. It has now been nearly three months, yet despite paying for insurance, no compensation has been issued.

I followed up multiple times by email, only to eventually receive a response stating that my claim was rejected because “the packaging used did not meet our minimum packaging guidelines.” This is unacceptable—photos of the packaging were provided from the start, and any concerns should have been raised immediately, not months later.

The boiler, which was part of the house we purchased last year, is a 6-year-old unit valued at £2,500 plus £399 (total £2,899), though I was selling it for £400. I was even asked to provide an invoice.

This is utterly ridiculous—clear cheating. If everything works smoothly, fine. Otherwise, the blame is shifted elsewhere with no accountability.

We are very sorry to read of your disappointment and frustration with this experience. We strive to make our processes as clear as possible, and we regret that this has not been your perception on this occasion.

For extended liability cover to apply, items must be packaged in line with ParcelBroker's packaging guidelines. Unfortunately, in this case, the packaging did not meet those requirements, namely, the use of a second hand box with insufficient internal packaging to support the second hand boiler weighing 49kg that was sent. which meant that your claim could not be approved. It is important to note that during the booking process, all customers must acknowledge and agree to a modal that appears, stating the following:- Packaging Guidelines

Claims for goods that do not comply with our Packaging Guidelines will not be accepted. - Substantiating your claim

Claims must be supported with proof of value (cost invoices /receipts). The consignee must not move, alter, or dispose of damaged goods or packaging.



On this occasion, the goods were found to be packaged insufficiently and there was no cost receipt/invoice submitted as part of the claim.

We understand how frustrating this outcome is, especially given the time you have spent pursuing the matter. Please be assured that your photos and correspondence were reviewed carefully, and our team provided you with a detailed explanation of why the claim was not successful.

Refuse to refund lost items

Lost a very expensive, very important parcel! Refuse to do anything about the claim (which we added additional cover for) come back with all sorts of nonsense about proving the manufacturing costs etc.

Its been 4 months and now a total blackout from them.

There are many many options when sending items..DO NOT USE THESE!

We’re sorry to hear your disappointment and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation.

Two boxes were sent. One was delivered successfully, whilst the other was unfortunately declared lost in transit.

An invitation to submit a claim for loss was sent across, however, this was closed, as supporting evidence was not provided. Despite this, we went beyond our usual process and granted additional time for your claim to be considered under our liability terms.

Supporting evidence was required due to inconsistencies in the declared values: the goods were declared to customs at £100, later stated to be worth over £3500 and then a claim was made for £9540. For compliance reasons, a valid cost of goods invoice was needed. Asking for a cost invoice was not “nonsense” — it was essential due to these inconsistencies and is a standard compliance requirement.

We requested this documentation and followed up. The last reply we received was “I will look into this further and provide additional details,” but no further information was provided until this public review was posted.

We always do our best to support and honour customers where claims are valid and within process. In this case, the evidence required to proceed was never provided.

Brilliant service, can't recommend more highly

Brilliant service.
First time using, and will be my first port of call from now on any time I need to send anything anywhere.

There was a slight issue (not with ParcelBroker, I hasten to add), but this was swiftly and efficiently dealt with by both Lauren and Tegan. And they were extraordinarily helpful answering any queries I had.

We're quick to complain these days, but we should be equally quick to praise. And I can't praise them highly enough. Wonderful stuff.

Had an issue with charges on a parcel…

Had an issue with charges on a parcel being returned to sender that required contacting the Parcelbroker team. Tegan dealt with this promptly, and was both professional and friendly throughout. Couldn't fault the service received!
