I have to service plans with pc world…

I have to service plans with pc world which I pay every month both my laptops were suffering from the same problem the keyboards were not working and laptops were slow . other problems as well pc world sent both to their repair department in Sheffield I think they were their about 10 days , they diagnosed corrupted software etc, etc but on arriving home both laptops are still suffering from unresponsive keyboards what a complete waste of time I will now decide weather its worth wasting my money on two service plans which are mainly useless the only reason I gave this company two stars is I got both laptops back at the same time .

So after numerous emails and some replies requesting f=more details I was given a number to ring after a number of options I actually got to talk to a real person who I could hardly hear as I tried to again explain what I already had done in numerous emails I told the person I think it would be better to take both my laptops back to pc world Stevenage who attempted repair with their repair dept in sheffield I expect yet another wait of 10 days what a waste of money a service plan is

Horrendous customer service and as a result never buy from PC world again and will message that to everyone. Cannot believe that a company in the UK has such a poor customer service mechanism with agents who hung up on calls, lie to customers and don't follow up correctly. As if it couldn't get any worse, I have not received a call from a manager despite being promised within 24 hours and an Oven turned up today but they had no-one to fit it so I have to wait another 5 days.

Disappointing

Usually I would highly recommend Curry's pc world to everyone. However, not this time. Our fridge freezer broke so since it wasn't on warranty anymore and is 8 years old I decided to buy a new fridge and paid extra for it to come on Sunday and to recycle our old appliance. Sunday comes and I'm waiting all day for the fridge. Around 7.30pm on the tracking it said the driver is on his way to my house but not even 2 minutes later the delivery was cancelled and I wasn't even contacted about it. Now currys are saying they cannot deliver it until Tuesday when I paid EXTRA to get it on sunday and now I'm probably gonna have to go without a fridge for another day. Thanks Currys for nothing.

Appalling service will never use them again

Bought a tablet from PC world on-line because the price was good and next day delivery. After competing the purchase had a message saying delivery the same day, but also stated delivery 3-5 working days and on the same message said delivery in a week. Called the help centre who said they can’t change the system for next day delivery and best to cancel and reorder. Would get the payment back in 7 working days. Complained to find out what the delivery date would be and they couldn’t tell me in an unprofessionally and in a snide manner. They said they can’t help talking in a snide way it’s the way they speak. I mentioned I work in customer service and the way they were speaking was totally inappropriate, they said raise it with PC Worlds CEO. In the end we went to John Lewis same price, next day delivery and 2 year warranty. The worst customer service experience ever which means I will never use PC world again. Appalling.

Disappointed

I went into the Brent Cross store to look at PC components (graphics cards mainly) but noticed that there was hardly anything in the pc section, the whole store was practically just massive TVs. Very disappointed, they should just rename the store 'giant TV world'!

Visited PC World Poole on Sunday 4th July to purchase a Samsung tablet, after the usual wait in the Poole branch to find an assistant I was told that they have none in stock and no other local branch has one. I was told that this was due to Samsung were going to update the tablet. I could not believe this but left. Giving this some further thought I looked online the following day to find that the tablet was available for click and collect !!!!!. Visiting the store on the 6fh and waiting for half an hour to be served I was able to purchase the tablet. It beggars belief that the staff at this branch are not capable of any customer service. They never seem to have enough staff available.

Poor Customer Service at Charlton and Stratford (West Field) Stores

Having to select a single star to represent my experience has triggered me because what I have experienced is nothing less than shambolic. It's almost as PC World/Curry's only select the worst mannered, no empathy and rudest staff. Totally unhelpful from start to finish. As someone who has worked in customer service, if I was a secret shopper, I'm confident their would be an enquire into the lack of care and support available at the stores in both Charlton and Stratford (West Field)

It began with me purchasing an Asus I511 laptop on Thursday 24th June in London, Charlton SE7. The cost of the laptop was £499.00. I brought the laptop home to discover it wouldn't turn on. I returned it back to the store and the gentleman (only nice person I encountered during my whole ordeal in PC World) took a look at it and came to the same conclusion I had come to: The Laptop doesn't work!! Fair enough he asked if I would like a replacement which I agreed to. He then pointed me in the direction of a sales person, it was all downhill from here! Firstly he mentioned there was none in stock in Charlton and told me the nearest places for me to get a replacement were hours away. He suggested I get an upgraded model (Asus VivoBook K403JA 14 Laptop)and told about all the benefits and why it was so much better for £579.00. I agreed to take the upgraded laptop as it was within my budget. He searched for the laptop then told me it was out of stock. He mentioned the only places to have it we hours away including Stratford which was the closest store. He said they are likely to have more in stock on Saturday and more stock Monday/Tuesday. As I don't drive and the stores were closing soon I said I'll come back on Saturday to collect either the replacement or the upgraded version. Came back on Saturday but no laptop so told me to try Stratford on Monday/Tuesday or come back on Tuesday when they'll get more stock.

During my whole encounter with the sales rep, there had been no mention that prices are subject to change. If anything, they bigged up the how great the laptop is for only £579. This was my expectation when coming back into store.

I went to Stratford on Monday, and spoke to the manager. I informed him of my situation and he searched for the laptop I wanted and told me the price was £749 and was rudely informed that I've been mugged off by the staff at Charlton and they have messed me about and didn't want to sell me the spare laptops they had in store. The manager of the Stratford store then basically pushed me to one side because I was less important than a customer buying some headphones. He then rolled his eyes, huffed and told me to go back to Charlton and speak to the manager there as they would be able to honour the price they showed me on Saturday. I made it to Charlton just before 8pm but was informed by the manager there was nothing he could do to help and it is what it is. Understandably it was the end of their shift and wanted to go home but everyone in store was giving me daggers and huffing about because I wanted to know why I was misinformed and mis managed. He told me to come in on Tuesday to speak to his GM because he couldn't be bothered to deal with this.

I work, so its difficult to just keep going back and fourth to the store.

Honestly, I'm not mad about the product being damaged when I bought it, I'm not mad about there being no stock. I'm just asking to be treated like a human being. I didn't get angry or swear and maybe that's were I went wrong! I'm usually pretty resilient but this experience has made me feel less than human, I've been emotionally drained at work, I don't want to see friends. I didn't even celebrate when England beat Germany due to feeling so low from this experience. I'm just asking PC World to manage expectations and customers better in the future. Possibly some extra training to staff in Charlton and Stratford.

If no stars were possible......

Please read below. It was written days ago. Followed suggestion on reply. Still no money back. Shame on you as a company.
Original review:
Having ordered a TV from this company the goods arrived on the wrong day and broken. It took weeks to organise a replacement by which time the original item was no longer available. A substitute took two attempts (staying in all day) to deliver. It was totally unsuitable. So far just annoying.
The next bit is what earned the NO STARS. Trying to get our money back. Several phonecalls revealed an interesting process of them allowing themselves 14 days to "process the returns form". Once processed the next bit "triggered payment within 10 days". So repayment within 24 days then at maximum, if you are short of money and use a Credit Card you can calculate whether you will be OK or have to pay some interest. Still, you can manage your finances.
However, "Technical Issues" meant that returns form wasn't processed. Each phone call, having waited a few days to receive emails, lead to a re-assurance that the repayment process would now be triggered. Are you getting the drift? We went round this loop twice before we pulled the plug and went to our payment method the raise a dispute. Good way to manage cash flow, how many other people's cash is still floating around with "technical issues for which we do apologise"?
If you have plenty of spare cash and don't need to worry about getting your money back, you will be OK with this company. If you save hard and have very little to spare, think again.

Terrible store & terrible customer service.

Website is awful to use, I persevered and used a one4all gift card, I went to collect, stood in queue then to be told I needed to use phone to let them know I was in-store, no one else there to collect, pcworld NEVER has an internet connection so trying to tell them I'm there was very tiresome, done and no.1 in queue, still waited 15mins, then I was asked for last 4digits on card, told them it was a gift card,I didn't have it, no way, even after all the other security questions would she give me my item, left shop and most definitely will not go back, I have not had one single good experience with them, I'm out!! As an aside I used the card after refund (another terrible experience) in Halfords, lovely lady took my order number gave me items, not a mention of card, so straight forward, thanks Halfords. Never again pcworld :(

Poole in Dorset have always been very good to us. Today we went in looking for a new T. V. and needed advise. Bill was very acommidating and had very good knowledge in this area. Bill is due to retire next week and we wish him all the best.
We were also looking for a vacuum cleaner and had a good demonstration of the shark vacuums. Both these salesmen were very pleasant and very accommodating. We had an enjoyable day shopping.. Thank you very much Poole branch.
