Poor durability and non-existent customer service

I am disappointed with both the quality of my Pelgrim appliance and the lack of support from their customer service team.

I have a Pelgrim MAC696MAT combi-microwave that is only 5,5 years old (manufactured in June 2019). Recently, the convection (hetelucht) function started failing, burning the top of every dish while leaving the inside raw. For a brand that claims quality, having a core component fail in just 5 years is unacceptable.

According to Dutch consumer guidelines, the expected economic lifespan (economische levensduur) of a built-in oven is 10 to 12 years. Despite reaching out via email to request a fair coulance arrangement (as the appliance is barely halfway through its life), I have received no meaningful response. First I had to get through the AI answer after that, I got no replies back.

Instead of helping a customer who is clearly facing a premature technical defect, I was met with a generic automated reply and a quote of €149 just for a technician to show up—excluding parts and labor. This is not the level of service one expects.

It seems their products don't last, and their customer service doesn't care once the initial 2-year warranty is over. I am still waiting for a reasonable proposal to fix this issue.

Not very good website

Not very good website. A lot of unclarity. You need a CRO specialist to improve user experience. I cannot seem to get the confirmation of my extended warranty.

Dishwasher with know technical issue for sale!

I bought a dishwasher with a know design issue. According to the service company, the door mechanism fail on all machines of this model, there is even a service instruction to the authorized service to “work around” it.
This is a major disrespect to customer, selling a product with known quality issue is an evidence that the brand cannot be trusted.

Terrible post purchase service

Terrible post purchase service. The oven that we purchased didn’t work so we scheduled a monteur to fix it. When the day comes, no one showed up and I called the service hotline and the lady said that the monteur cannot come and she has to re-schedule me the week after. A week had past and the monteur came and fix the oven. In total we were waiting for almost 3 weeks before we can use the oven.

I have had brand new pelgrim…

I have had brand new pelgrim microwave/oven and pelgrim cooking hob perform very badly. Both had to be replaced twice in the first year and my microwave oven is broken again now but at this point we gave up and will just be tossing it. They are a terrible company when it comes to quality.

Customer service is a scam

I have a brand new Pilgrim dishwasher installed by the previous owner, but it wasn't draining properly.
When I called customer service I kept asking if there's anything I can check about the installation that would allow me to resolve the issue without a technician, and was told to just order the technician visit since my device is covered by warranty. I was assured I wouldn't have to pay anything multiple times.
When the technician came (20 minutes early, at 7:40am!) he very easily fixed the issue which I could have done if phone customer service would have just let me know about this very common issue, and proceeded to charge me for his visit.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, and if you happen to have their appliances installed, do not trust their customer service representatives.

After a bit more than 2 years the…

After a bit more than 2 years the touchscreen of my dishwasher is not working anymore, well was never perfect, I have to say that I don’t use it that much, I was never home, those days I am!!
So I decide to call the customer service to see if it is a problem I can sove myself, but it seems it is not my lucky day, I’m just over the warranty, 2 years and a couple of months! Well she, the lady at the other side says that maybe the problem are my fingers, because many other customer don’t have that problem, so I tell ok than I need to order new fingers! Dag Meneer Dag Meneer!
Please Pelgrim help me to finf the right fingers!!!!!!
