You ordered a brass tag only a month ago. If it is already fading this would be due to excessive exposure to water/rubbing on wet fur. We don't recommend brass for dogs that swim. Stainless steel is much more robust. This information is made clear in the product description. As we offer a free replacement if the tag fades in the first 5 years, customers normally contact us to let us know.

Dramatically reduced quality with higher costs
We have been buying brass dog tags from Pet-tags for fifteen years now. In the past they were always the best quality.
The small size has shrunk dramatically from 26mm to 21mm. The engraving also looks to be less deep. Finally the earlier tags had a steel ring which made them last much longer. Sadly no more.
To cap it all the price has gone up by over 15% in the space of two years.
It looks like, after using you for fifteen years, I will have to look elsewhere in future.
UPDATE: Probably legal but certainly very misleading - this company is effectively “hijacking” web traffic intended for the other company now in liquidation. I presume they have bought out the domain name of the defunct company in order to redirect traffic to their own website. It’s no wonder there is confusion and disappointed customers.
