Genuine and sympathetic helpdesk agent - Georgia. We were cut off right at the end of the call and they followed up with an email immediately to apologise, which wasn't necessary, but I really appreciated it, given the upsetting circumstances of my pets condition. We did a direct claim via the vets, paperwork was easy to complete and the agent helped me through it. It was approved without delay and was a weight lifted off my shoulders not having to deal with that during a worrying time.

Service is good.The increased cost as we have claimed for Nana's long term allergy,cytopoint ,unfair charges are increased because we need to claim long term , especially the yearly increase for the same condition as you state it's a new year no excuse for these charges .

If I need to contact Pet Protect they are always courteous and helpful. They have settled claims for me over many years. Now my dog is elderly and fragile, however, and had an operation last year, the cost of the policy has doubled since April 2025. I know there are actuarial reasons for this, but it's made it very difficult to pay on a pension, especially with everything else going up in price. I've had to go onto monthly instead of annual payments. This is why they get 4 stars and not 5.
To be fair, I haven't claimed from other insurance companies and so can't make a comparison.

The premium was very reasonable at the beginning, of my policy, but has increased by 540% over 6 years, to a whopping £320 per month! I only ever made 1 very small claim in year 2, and I feel the rise in premium is unreasonable. Having shopped around, I have since found more cover for half of what pet protect were offering, hence I ended my policy.

Absolutely amazing experience. My cat developed an E Coli infection that cost quite a lot to get to the bottom of. Pet protect paid out seamlessly and promptly with not a single issue and even offered support with the process to me over live chat. Fabulous service, would highly recommend!

Have found pet protect sympathetic to needs/requirements over the years, have not failed to pay out towards our vet bills for our little man, who suffers from heart disease & more ailments. Would recommend.
