The owners were lovely on the telephone and in person. Very basics campsite which is nice for a little stop over. There are toilets and showers which could have done will a little cleaning, but they a... See more

Rubbish experience
We went to a site on the Amalfi coast booked based on the pitch up description however the site facilities were not as described and the owner was allowing his own dogs to foul the camping area.
I stated all this in my pitchup review only for the owner to then claim I had a great Dane that was defecating everywhere and barking and making aggressive moves towards folk, It was actually a 9 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback, he also accused us of being rude and demanding ! I raised this with pitchup as it was totally untrue to be told nothing they can do. Am sorry you list the site, you promote it therefore your responsible under the distance selling regulations but lesson learned after 22 booking via pitchup never again been caught too many times by lies in the description think twice before you book they wash their hands of all responsibilities so what exactly they do am at a loss to say.
Phoebe has responded via email asking about issues again nothing they can do as sites are responsible again let me point you at the distance selling regulations it's your front end pitch up so it's your responsibility to maintain and check it's above board if not well I may as well use Google and save myself your commission which is what I will be doing in future
Edit
Following your response you clearly have no idea about the rules you say you comply with, as a seller which is what your are PITCHUP is responsible for it's own front end and no attempts to wriggle out will change that, for example Ebay would get prosecuted if they sold or allowed illegal goods to be sold via it's auction site. For clarity I will quote the relevant passage from the website you provided, these are things you must do and ensure it's accurate, before you say that's impossible I also use ACSI and they do just that, your obligation is stated below, it's your responsibility as the seller to check and ensure it's accurate my bank statement says pitch up therefore you sell it

Absolutely fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. Great location, easy to find, Really easy experience with the owner from start to finish, great amenities, chilled atmosphere, picturesque site. Well worth the price in my opinion. Will definitely be back.

CARAVANNERS BE AWARE BEFORE BOOKING WITH PITCUP.COMH UP
Do not use ... Be aware when you book you pay a deposit which is understandable. But... When I wanted to cancel one of my bookings made VIA PITCH UP ... 44 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE ... 17TH JULY 2025. They would not refund the deposit I had made on that booking.
An extremely expensive way for any caravanner to lose their money.. My advice is view listings. THEN BOOK DIRECT WITH THE SITE/S YOU REQUIRE.

Pitch up and go
Excellent and very proficient and easy to use and would recommend this site
Best night sleep I’ve ever had under canvas
The Bell tents were very clean and tidy, with very nice little touches, such as multiple pillows and cushions, cutlery, plates and kettle in the tent. the bathroom (converted horse box) was well equipped and actually enjoyable to have a shower or bath looking out over the valley (remember to bring swim wear). The prosecco and Welsh cakes were a nice touch on arrival. The tents are arranged in such a way that you do not look out over the other tents. We did not even know other people were on the site except for when we sat in the gazebo area, where you could socialise with other campers, if you desire. The kitchen facilities were well thought through.
I would highly recommend Rockfield Glamping, and hope to stay there again soon.
No refunds!!
While Pitchup offers a great selection of campsites across the country, I won’t be booking through their website again. I needed to cancel my booking and gave 10 days’ notice, but was told I wouldn’t be receiving any refund—neither from the campsite nor from Pitchup—because their policy requires 30 days’ notice for cancellations.
Had I booked directly with the campsite, I would have been offered a refund or credit towards a future stay. To make matters worse, booking direct would also have been cheaper in this case.
Going forward, I’ll still use Pitchup to browse campsite options, but I’ll be making all future bookings directly with the sites themselves.
My advice to others: read Pitchup’s cancellation policy very carefully. If your plans change, don’t expect any flexibility or support

Can't amend through pitchup themselves
Tried to move our holidays and deposits this year to next year because of my wife's illness, know where to amend or get intouch with pitchup, can't amend through site because pitchup made the bookings aaccording to the sites

Great, welcoming campsite
The campsite at Bateman's Brewery was lovely and we shall certainly be returning. Great site with good facilities, very friendly.
Campsite owner with the worst experience ever of these charletans
We have had an awful experience as a campsite with a listing on Pitch-Up.We were targeted by a troll who left a one star review after exhibiting disgusting behaviour whilst staying with us, she left and then repeated the same behaviour the following week and the Police were called and are investigating. We proved to Pitch-Up that her review was untrue and factually inaccurate, yet they refused to remove it and it damaged our business significantly. The troll then struck again and left a further one-star review and again despite it being factually inaccurate and the Police investigation refused to remove the second review. We take our business very seriously and this has cost us thousands, yet despite the criteria for the reviews to be removed being met, they absolutely refuse. Disgraceful company, who ignore your emails pleading for their help, and who are just an absolute joke. Avoid at all costs if you have a campsite, they will ruin you and not care.
