Unsatisfactory service

"For MOWZ™, basic mowing, trimming, and blowing clippings off hard surfaces is included."

I paid for this service twice within 7 days, each job was incomplete and unsatisfactory. Plowz and Mowz has refused to have a new service provider or anyone re-mow. Furthermore, they refused to help me find a different service provider. Additionally, they refused to refund any portion due to the incomplete work.

This Is PURELY flaw not business

This so called remote connecting operators to customer service is PURELY flaw. These people tries to assign job requests to a pool of local people who can take care of the job. If they don't have enough or any people in that local area; you will simply be in an infinite loop of 'we are working on your assignment, we will get to you as soon as we can'. No business structure what so ever. When you communicate with them, with each person you are dealing with, you will start from scratch explaining the need you have; all of a sudden you are on another infinite loop. When you ask for notification if they can get to it or not; they can't even say, sorry we can't do it, at the time they would promise. Let alone they charge twice what you can get it done. Want to pay double? Want to hit the lottery of getting your job done? Then this is the company. Filed for BBB. Done with them after trying to get this working.

This is the worst company to deal with.

This is the worst company to deal with.
They failed 3 times to cut my grass on time.
The third and recent one has an inspection dead line from the city and I gave them almost a week notice but they never did it, and they never told me that they can not make it.
So the city sending their contractor tomorrow to cut it and charge $300 plus fine.
I will never deal with this people again ever.
They sound very good but they are fishing in the water for people to pay them and it is 50 /50 chance to do it or cancel in the last minute. Because they don't have the man power. They hire other people and pay them. If they get lucky and find some one to go.
They put me in trouble with the city.
I do not recommended them . It is much better to call local guys

BBB Rating is just a 1.44/5 !!!

I Ordered the service a few years ago and found a good contractor in GA. It worked out. I still have service through that vendor, I just don't use Plowz and Mowz to middle man it. That experience was good (3 years ago). Since then, the business has clearly declined and become corrupted.

I attempted to order service in a different state this time (NC). I was quoted, and paid the fee recommended for size and length of grass. The contractor finished 25% of the job. The local code enforcement officer reviewed the work and agreed. The vendor however disagreed, and sent in 5 blurry photos that showed long grass in the background, with things like trees or pavement in focus in the foreground. the vendor claimed the photos demonstrated completion, but the evidence showed clearly the opposite: incomplete work in excess of 75%. I didn't pay for a perimeter trim, I paid for mowing of the property. Yet, the Plowz and Mowz staff disagreed. P & M responded by email from three different customer service reps; Faith, Mina and then Alesha. All of them disregarded the content of my emails and seemed to be replying on autopilot. I indicated I did not want the same vendor to come back out when they offered to complete the work. Why give a vendor a second chance to steal from you when it was such a blatant act of theft. I wanted a new vendor.

They would not agree to this, and instead stated I would get a 20% refund on the service. That is a 20% refund for only 20% work complete? 😒

I called my bank and will be using the photos provided by the Plowz and Mowz contractor to get the $205 service fee refunded. My bank represented me well against this very unsupportive business. I was given a full refund from my bank, who contested it for me using the photos that Plowz and Mowz provided. Why couldn't their own cs reps do that? Probably because they get away with it.

It took these 3 customer service reps 20 emails to come up with a fraudulent solution. It could have taken a good customer service rep working in an ethical business model, one email to solve the problem. Clearly this platform lacks both ethics and customer service skills.

I burned 4 hours trying to fix their mess-up. I have at least 3 more hours and a few more phone calls and emails to my bank to go before it is resolved.

All I wanted was my grass mowed for God sake. If they can't provide that, don't advertise it as your specialty. I'd hate to see the results of ordering the advertised "drone services" on their website ? Imagine the opportunities for error in that arena 🙄. If you can't get grass right, maybe sticking with grass until it is right would prove prudent.

Stay clear of this platform. Anytime you can't background check the vendor and verify insurance prior to arrival on the property, you are exposed. I was in a rush, thought I'd give them a chance. Last chance. Hire a local contractor through another service network, or check with the Better Business Bureau. It is safer than paying for a service of which you have no opportunity to see who is arriving at your property.

The claim of "fully insured" can't be verified with this type of an agreement either. Where is the insurance certificate? Who is the vendor? They don't tell you because they are afraid of losing the vendor to you directly, and will then be out of their "deal broker" arrangement.

I ended up being able to finally find a qualified local operator with good equipment, who handles it at $45/mow now..
Quite a big price drop from the brokered $200 fee, for a 20% job. Qualified, capable service providers can underbid the under qualified incapable ones. Why should I pay for someone's inability to run a business. The job takes less than 30 minutes if done correctly.

Thanks Plowz & Mowz, but I don't support poor performance.

Great ads, lots of persistence. But then where did it all go when the ball was dropped? Like the fog, it just evaporated when the heat picked up.

I'm sure behind the aliases of Faith, Mina and Aleesha sits a young entrepreneur that was once pushing lawnmowers trying to figure out an easier way. I've got some news: there really isn't an easier way. You have to work at whichever option you choose. Putting down the hand tools doesn't mean your work is over. It actually has just begun. I'd suggest taking a closer look at your clients to begin with. They appear to be calling out to you. Secondly, stop hiding behind generic targeted advertising and automatic response emails that appear to be authentically created. After the first couple of correspondences it is clear there is not a human being taking into consideration the facts of the situation. If there had been, this review would not have been necessary.

Good riddance 👏

Horrible experience-do not use

Horrible experience-do not use! They cancelled the morning of my appointment. It is Memorial Day, but I specifically scheduled for today because we were home. They claimed the provider couldn't get the mulch because stores were closed. The last time I checked both Home Depot and Lowe's were open! Joke of a business.

Complete rip-off

Complete rip-off! Unprofessional and discourteous...originally I had a bid for mulch and power wash. When I asked multiple times to ensure accuracy of the areas to be worked on they offered to have a person come to look at the job site. When I accepted they told me the vendor said the quote is still good. I felt uncomfortable with that and didn’t use them. I decided to just do mulch and submitted and paid another bid. The app allows you to only attach 3 photos of the job (silly considering how many things you can ask them to do). I sent 11 photos of the site to the number provided in the instructions and didn’t hear anything to the contrary. When my entire backyard was unmulched and I paid almost $800 you can imagine. They claim that I never sent photos and they only did what was in the original 3 photos of the job. To make matters worse, all I heard was what I did wrong or what I didn’t do. I can’t believe I spent that much money for that small of the mulch job. I would NOT use this company - you will be told all of the reason why they are right and you are wrong. Stay away!!!!!!

Crappy job for $228 for 1/2 acre called…

Crappy job for $228 for 1/2 acre called in middle of service and tried to charge more. Left hedge clippings laying on ground, didn't trim under tress and I was told my opinion on the service was optional. Good set up to get your money, lousy service, and completely arrogant and unprofessional customer service. Never will use them again.

Tried 3 times, no good

I would not recommend, and this is after giving them the benefit of the doubt a few times. As other reviewers have said, they are expensive, but I don’t mind paying for as-needed service every so often. My biggest issue is that they are unreliable and offer subpar service. In addition to the times I actually used them, they had to cancel a couple of times because it was taking to long the the job to be assigned. On each occasion the first assigned contractor didn’t come as scheduled and I had to wait for someone else to accept the job. This could take days, if at all. On the first occasion, the contractor did not complete the snow removal. Customer service was great and gave me a partial credit, but we still had to shovel the remaining snow ourselves, after a long day at work, in below freezing weather. The second service, I watched/heard on my security cams as the contractors complained that my driveway was too big and contemplated leaving without finishing. Luckily I was able to get my husband to rush home to intercept. He caught them driving out of our community, leaving with the service incomplete. He demanded they go back to complete the job. However, according to the workers, Plowz does not give them accurate descriptions of the property so they can know what to expect. True or not, I still expect to get what I paid for. When rating the service at that time, I took into account the unexpected snow this winter, so I didn’t write them off just yet. Come Spring, I requested lawn service. Once again, contractor no show and I get the usual text that they are looking for a replacement. They assign the job nearly a week later, on a day that it’s due to rain in the afternoon. I inform customer cto let them know to wait another day if they weren’t going to arrive before the rain. They agreed. Hours later I hear someone outside cutting the grass in the rain. I went to tell them to stop, but they’d already cut a lot. When I asked why they would cut wet grass the contractor said that they were told by a Plowz to still cut it. I let them finish, offered ponchos (they were soaked) and gave them a tip for their commitment. But the lawn looked horrible the next day with depressions, tire tracks and big patches of wet grass everywhere. It looked even worse when dried. The contractor did ask me to give them the opportunity to come back the following week to clean it up, but they never showed up. No more chances.

mulch full service delivery

I paid for mulch full service delivery. Was originally scheduled for 12pm on a Sunday. Long story short, after 2 reschedules due to excuses on their end, I gave up and cancelled the appointment. I wish I did this ahead of time and decided to read the reviews and experienced the same issues regarding lack of follow through. I understand that equipment failure is valid excuse but the second time they stated there was a shortage of mulch. I called a major supplier in the area to find out there is more than enough mulch available and decided that was it. If you value your time, I would not recommend using this service.

instead of service - words, words, words

We are two sick, old (70+) people living alone. We provided our credit card and waited for help with snow plowing. During the first day of waiting we were informed that the job was assigned to a local driver. During the second day a lot of "sorrys" and promises. During the third day offer of 15% discount and no service.

Overpriced and unreliable

Wish I could give them zero stars! Customer service is awful. My husband and I both have covid so knowing we were going to get a ton of snow we signed up with this company and scheduled for snow removal ahead of time. No one ever showed up despite showing the job was accepted. I contacted them yesterday and they promised the job would be done last night. Still no one showed and I received a text at 11:40pm that they released the contractor and they were “working hard” to find someone else. It’s now 11:15 am the next day and still no one is coming. I cancelled the job. Ill just keep trying to find someone else. They’re overpriced and unreliable.

If I could give this app 0 stars I…

If I could give this app 0 stars I would. I have no qualms with the person who actually came and shoveled my driveway, but I paid for a plow who first, didn’t show up and then when he did, barely plowed a third of my driveway and left. Then they offered to refund me half the money for a service they did not provide. I had to text them constantly to actually get the refund processed and it still hasn’t come through.
Don’t waste your money as they’re not cheap and pay a neighborhood kid to shovel your driveway.

Wish I could have given ZERO STARS

Wish I could have given ZERO STARS. Made appointment around noon on Sunday. By noon Monday, nobody showed. When I contacted customer support. The person on the other end did not offer an ETA or if say if my appointment was still pending. All they offered to do was cancel my appointment, which is exactly what I did. Keeping an eye on my credit card to make sure they don't post charges. What a JOKE!

I wish that I had looked at these…

I wish that I had looked at these reviews before I hired Plowz and Mowz. I actually thought I would use them for other services. They are horrible! Never showed. They always gave me some computer based comment. I was trying to get my daughter’s driveway plowed before she got home. They had 10 hours! She ended up shoveling it herself. Don’t use this company, you will be so sorry!

Scheduled a plow and it was confirmed

Scheduled a plow and it was confirmed. Advertised as $35 for one plow, confirmation said $65. We kept it scheduled because we needed the service. They didn’t show for three days then send a message saying a plow was on the way and it would be $200. We canceled. Terrible service, terrible company, really left us in a tough spot.

I am so disipointed in this app

I am so disipointed in this app. I have used it for several years but this year... I have been canceled on for jobs every time I have requested one (power washing and snow plowing) and then I have to figure out how to cancel the charge they put on my card when the job is requested. I feel that they need to either find more providers or stop taking jobs they can't dispatch. I really am very frustrated!!!
