Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, citing issues with maintenance, repairs, and a general lack of responsiveness. The quality of products also raised concerns, with some experiencing problems with new vehicles and components. Reviewers frequently highlighted poor customer service, describing staff as unhelpful and difficult to engage with, leading to a frustrating overall experience. However, some people were satisfied with specific interactions, such as quick scratch repairs or lightbulb changes that were resolved efficiently and without charge. These instances suggest that while the majority faced considerable challenges, positive experiences with individual staff members or minor services occasionally occurred.

Bought a brand new Porsche 911 GTS

Bought a brand new Porsche 911 GTS . Had a recall and ended up with a very expensive ornament on the drive for 3 months. To date I've not had an apology or any contact whatsoever from Porsche. I had the car on the road for just over 10 months because I had no faith in the product that was not fit for purpose I sold it back to Porsche. The ten months that I owned it ended up costing me £42000.00. Porsche being very generous ordered me £3000.0 compensation. The car I had prior to this was jaguar F type, which I owned for 5 years incident free motoring. In future I will buy British.

Rip Off Porsche

I small part broke on the car. The cost of the part was minor what was awful was that the first opportunity that they could do the work was in 3 1/2 weeks time and I was quoted four hours labour. I thought that excessive so checked I found a video on YouTube and completed the work myself in eight minutes…

I’m shocked Porsche get 1.5 stars they are absolutely shocking. The customer service in the UK is a disgrace as is the CRO here. Hes no interest in customer service and should be sacked. Porsche are rubbish. Buy an Aston or Ferrari.

Dishonesty at Porsche of South Bay

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Porsche of South Bay. They operate in an unethical and dishonest manner, making promises just to lure you in, only to renege once you’re there. Their general sales manager is particularly rude and unprofessional, showing no regard for customer service or integrity. If you’re considering doing business with them, think twice—you’ll likely end up frustrated and misled. I would strongly advise taking your business elsewhere to a dealership that actually values honesty and professionalism.

Avoid Porsche East London

Avoid Porsche East London – Unacceptable Quality & Service

I expected world-class reliability and service from Porsche, but my experience has been a nightmare. I purchased a Taycan from Porsche East London, and within the first week, it broke down. Over the course of 16 months, it failed four times, leaving me unable to use it for 11 of those months, yet Porsche refused to take responsibility bar repeat attempts to fix the same issues. I only had the car on the road 4 months of actual use in 14 months of ownership - before finally rejecting it.

The service department was slow, unhelpful, and dismissive, with no urgency in resolving major faults on a £100k+ car. For a brand that prides itself on performance and engineering, this level of failure is inexcusable. If you're considering a Porsche, think twice**** especially a Taycan. Stay clear of Porsche East London unless you want endless headaches and a car that spends more time off the road than on it.

Purchased 911 in Dec 24 with only 1900…

Purchased 911 in Dec 24 with only 1900 miles. After a few days only car began running rough with emissions light coming on. Porsche assist called and booked car into local Porsche dealer. On arrival at dealer I'm told that car can't be looked at for 2/3 weeks ????
Called my supplying Porsche dealer who told me to get the car back to them and they will repair.
Porsche refuse to send car there at there expense even though I took back car hire from enterprise which saved them £1000 for the 3 weeks they would have had my car !!
Not impressed with service from buying such an expensive car.
Seems to be a common problem at some dealers with timescale repair times ???

“You pay a premium price for a car with cheap quality.”

They use a lot of low-quality parts and charge a high price. I only realized this when my Porsche started making noise from the front after just a few kilometers. It’s a scandal—you’re essentially buying an Audi or VW but paying three times more. It’s not worth it. I’ve also had many issues with the electronic components.

Warranty is not what you think, BEWARE...

Hi, i'm writing this message to warn people about the warranty on Porsche products. I live in the UK and this is my 7th Porsche. I am running 2 at the moment.

I purchased a Cayenne Coupe from Porsche Exeter. It has the 'lightweight package' on it which includes a lightweight carbon fibre roof amongst other things. We have recently had a cold snap of weather here and i opened the boot (tailgate) when it was cold. The boot started to open but then stopped half way and there was a cracking noise. I inspected the boot and noticed the there was a split on the rubber seal and my carbon roof was lifted up and damaged quite badly in the 2 places as a result. It really does look untidy and a mess. I immediately got in touch with my local dealer and sent them some images across and got the car booked in. This was done on the 16/12/2024. The car was booked in for 3rd Jan. The dealer said Porsche have said they refused to cover this under warranty, but they were trying to get it done because the lacquer was peeling off the roof at the edges in places. I was shocked to be honest, i totally expected this to be sorted. All i did was open the boot and through no fault of my own i have a damaged roof that looks a mess on a car which is under Porsche warranty. I am racking my brains thinking of Porsche's justification for not covering this. I am not supposed to open my boot when it is cold? The mind truly boggles.

I have been waiting for Porsche to come back to me and i have still not heared anything and i as write this review it is now the 22/01/2025. So my boot doesn't open when it is cold, it just goes so far and then i get the cracking noise, my carbon fibre roof which should be a feature looks a terrible mess and I am disgusted by Porsche's stance on this. I have to say unless this is resolved shortly then this will absolutely be my last Porsche ever.

Poor Porsche Taycan Product

I have a 2023 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. It is the 10th Porsche I have owned. Beverly other one has been bullet proof and a pleasure to own.

Then I got this. Do t get me wrong - parts of it are amazing. It looks lovely and to say it is rapid is an understatement. However, I have had all sorts of build issues. Two factory recalls, regular garage visits, boot leaked water into boot lid and boot (three times into garage), PCM issue and a rattle that took over TWO MONTHS to resolve. Rattling brake discs (that’s not a worry, is it!!?) only found after changing a shock absorber, two ball joints, a trialing arm and roll bar apparently. All in all, I reckon I was without the car for 4 months in the first 13 months of ownership

Porsche Tonbridge have been good but the issue here is that I have what some manufacturers called a “Friday afternoon” car. As it was funded via Volkswagen Financial Services, I have apparently had to deal with them in the first instance and they have been less than sympathetic with a derisory compensation offer. I was lent a Macan ( which kept changing as they sold the demo’s!) but if I wanted a Macan, I would have bought one. I have been denied the use of my car for 4 months and spent time and petrol on 40 mile round trips to the dealer. The only way forward for me now is court which I intend to do.

However, the issue here is the product. Apparently Porsche UK are not interacted in helping. This car lists at £120k. How is this the way for a luxury brand to behave? If this was a TV or iPhone, the trailer of manufacturer would have exchanged it for a working model the moment I walked into the store. That is what they should do here.

No wonder sales and values have fallen so much…

Absolutely awful customer service.

Based on my experience I would urge folk to go to another Porsche dealership - or better still a different brand.

My Porsche Langley Maintenance Experience

As a loyal Porsche customer, I have always trusted and admired the brand for its high standards in products and services. However, my recent maintenance experience at the Porsche Langley Service Center has left me disappointed and questioning the transparency of their processes. I would like to share the issues I encountered to raise awareness among other Porsche owners.

Service Details

• Appointment Date: November 7, 2024 (Routine Maintenance)

• Pickup Date: November 23, 2024 (15 days in total)

• Vehicle Information:

• Model: Porsche Panamera

• Years in Use & Mileage: 3 years; 47,990 km

• Service Fee: $7,611 CAD

• Mileage Increase During Service: 60 km

Issues Encountered

1. Lack of Transparency in the Service Process

• No Detailed Information Provided: During the maintenance period, I repeatedly requested a detailed list of services and cost breakdowns, but I only received this information on the day I picked up the car.

• Unauthorized Service Performed: The service report showed that PDK transmission maintenance was performed. According to Porsche’s official guidelines, this service is required only after 4 years or 60,000 km. My vehicle did not meet these criteria, and I was neither informed of this service in advance nor did I approve it.

• Brake System Evaluation Issues: The service report indicated that all four brake pads were worn to 3mm. Such uniform wear is highly unusual, raising concerns about the accuracy of the evaluation. (See attached image for reference.)

2. Vehicle Performance Issues After Maintenance

Several serious problems emerged after the service:

• Reduced Braking Performance: Noticeable increase in braking distance and slower response, nearly causing accidents on several occasions.

• Suspected Oil Leak: Oil stains appeared in my garage after the service, which had never occurred before.

• Suspension Problems: Significant loss of stability and comfort while driving.

• Seatbelt Warning Light Malfunction: The warning light frequently activates even when all passengers have securely fastened their seatbelts.

• New Damage on the Car: A stain (1cm x 2cm) was found on the front of the car, which was not present before the service.

• Engine Vibration, Noise, and Increased Fuel Consumption: These issues repeatedly occurred, making me concerned about potential underlying engine damage.

3. Excessive Service Duration

Routine maintenance unexpectedly took 15 days, causing considerable disruption to my daily life.

4. Inadequate Post-Service Response

• No Response from Langley Center: I submitted a written complaint on November 25, but have received no reply to date.

• Deflection by Porsche Canada: On December 3, I escalated my complaint to Porsche Canada. While they promised an “independent investigation,” they only suggested I return the vehicle to Porsche Langley for inspection without offering a clear resolution.

5. Serious Safety Concerns

An independent inspection concluded that the vehicle is unsafe to drive. This situation not only jeopardizes my personal safety but also poses a risk to other road users.

These issues have severely shaken my confidence in the safety of my vehicle and the quality of Porsche’s service. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others and prompts greater scrutiny of similar incidents to prevent further harm.

Don't buy Porsche Assistance, they leave you for 4 hours in the cold

Don't buy Porsche Assistance. We were stranded in Germany Koblenz on January 5, 2025 at 12.44 pm with our Porsche Panamera Turbo. Immediately called Porsche Assistance, which turned out to be completely incompetent. After hours of calling, waiting, making appointments, canceling appointments, we were finally towed at 4:43 PM by a company called in by Porsche Assistance. However, this company had absolutely ZERO knowledge and could not carry out the simple repair of the tire! While I had explicitly indicated on the telephone: provide a tire repair kit, if this does not work, tow and take 4 passengers with you. After all, we were standing at -2 with small children next to the highway. In the end they had to tow us in the car to the ambulance. Completely irresponsible and unsafe towing 4 people in a car on the back of an ambulance, but we had no choice. I then arranged a taxi from Koblenz home myself.

This is not possible and goes beyond all limits. Porsche describes this exclusive service as fast and adequate assistance 24/7 throughout Europe. Complete bullshit. We are standing there with our 2 children at -2 garden in the cold for over 4 hours... waiting for a solution that does NOT come!!! We arranged the taxi ourselves.

2008 Boxster S Convertible

I owned a 2008 Boxster S convertible that I had to total because water infiltrated the electrical panels. Porsche customer service was the worst. They were the most uncooperative group of people I have ever dealt with.
If you plan to buy an older Porsche convertible, have it tested and ask for an extended guarantee against water damage.
I will never purchase a Porsche product again!
