This review is only based on the fact…

This review is only based on the fact that for nearly 3 years I paid for insurance on a phone I sadly lost that phone last week but in all I have paid 450 pounds in premiums put 125 in excess in total over 550 pounds for a replacement phone that as a value of around 300 pounds plus a battery that is only 80% please avoid this service as it seems like a scam. But I must say the people you talk with and who deal with your claim are very professional and polite.

Poor Claims Handling and Lack of Accountability from Taurus Claims Team

I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided by Taurus Claims Team regarding my claim (NCL/PO/00091517/VIS-1) and subsequent complaint (Ref: 2024-08-0535). The handling of my claim has been full of delays, repeated requests for documents I already provided, and an overall lack of clarity and responsiveness.

I started my claim on August 13th and submitted all the required documents promptly, including strange requests like a photo of myself holding my passport and a photo of the phone box. Despite their commitment to assess claims within 2 working days, I’ve faced constant delays. Now, they insist on a 30-minute phone interview scheduled for September 2nd to discuss information I have already given in writing. By then, it will be nearly a month since I began the claim, which is simply unacceptable.

After weeks of back-and-forth communication and multiple requests for the same documents, I raised a formal complaint on August 21st. I was given a reference number (Ref: 2024-08-0535) and told an investigation would be conducted. However, there has been no meaningful communication since, and when I asked for a timeframe, I was only directed to their complaints procedure, which provided no clear answers. They informed me they would only issue a final response after the claim concludes—essentially using it as another delay tactic.

During a phone call, their representative Holly said they don’t have enough staff, which should not be an explanation for this delay. This only shows poor management, and I won’t accept it as a valid excuse for their failure to meet their own commitments.

The response to my complaint has been just as unhelpful as the claims process itself. It’s clear that Taurus Insurance, registered in Gibraltar, is more focused on delaying or denying claims than actually assisting customers.

If my claim is not approved, I will use every available avenue to resolve this. At this point, it is no longer about the phone, but about standing up against being tricked and misled, and I won't let it slide—even if it costs me in litigation.

Based on reviews and my experience, I have lost confidence that my claim will be approved. Their handling of my case has been inefficient, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer care. If you are looking for reliable insurance, I strongly advise against using Taurus Claims Team. The experience has been slow, complicated, and very disappointing, with their approach geared more toward stalling than genuinely helping.

Muppets - DO NOT USE

Absolutely useless company. Constant diversion and delay tactics in the hope you go away.

1) Ask for information and when you reply, they ask for more info and this goes on and on.
2) When they email you asking for more info, the email comes from a mailbox/address they don’t monitor so your replies aren’t picked up.
3) Ask stupid questions, such as a photo of the box your phone came in. Who keeps this and if you do I doubt you take it on holiday with you!

Cannot believe the Post Office have teamed up with them but perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised following recent scandals.

Next stop, complaint to the post office and financial ombudsman.

Do not use, criminals!

Post Office Gadget Insurance and Taurus…

Post Office Gadget Insurance and Taurus Insurance are absolutely terrible. They've been dragging their feet for over a week, leaving me without a phone. Every time they ask for another document, they push my case to the back of the line. It's infuriating and a complete waste of time. Their senior team is useless and clearly doesn't care about their customers. Avoid these companies at all costs – they have no idea how to provide decent service. Total joke.

Amazing Service

Amazing Service! Quick Response! Easy!

This is the 2nd time my Iphone has messed up.

First occassion, I dropped it and smashed every panel on the phone. I provided proof of usage etc and sent off for repair. Within 2 weeks I received a fixed phone. Happy with this experience.

Second occassion, dropped my handset and a crack appeared on the rear camera lense. All camera functions and flash stopped working. I was advised to go to Apple to get a repair and whatever the cost they will reimburse. Apple could not fix this and i paid out over £660 for a refurbished handset. Uploaded the documentation as requested with a receipt and called up Taurus. They said all is good and the money will be in my account.

Peace of mind service. I cant believe some of the reviews on this but I have received great service and cant fault it.

They will try anything to avoid paying genuine claims…

They are fast to get you to insure your gadget (mobile phone) and make it look easy BUT the insurance is actually with Taurus insurance and they try everything they can to not pay out for genuine claims - DO NOT USE - they will ask for all sorts of paperwork and then when you supply they try a whole load of other questions/ask for more 'proof' in the hope that you give up! Then they say they will supply you with a repaired/replacement phone instead of new...

No direct contact and efforts to delay

No direct contact, been over a week since my phone was stolen. Rang to speak to someone and the woman so was rude, when I asked to speak to someone else she said there was nobody and that claims take 10-15 days. They request documents that no other insurance have ever asked for in order to delay claims.
