Stealing customer email addresses and selling to other vendors

I was shocked to see that Epson.ca used pricegrabber.ca to collect reviews of their site. I accidentally entered my email address with my review about my experience buying on Epson.ca. Low and behold, pricegrabber was hosting the review and started sending me emails from their site and then from other vendors. In Canada, it is illegal to send unsolicited emails like that. But the fact is it is difficult to track.

Poor Experiance As A Merchant

It was a really poor and scam based services. The bid as I set they never charged according to it. Tracking tool shows less clicks and they show high. It was a total loss. I suggest not to come anyone. Please save time and money.

Fraudulent Clicks

These guys are frauds. Our listings were getting clicks with an average cost of $2-3 per day. On one particular day they debited our account with $70. Further, a payment made to them does not show in our account. It shows as a debit in our Bank Statement. Even though we have written to them and even called them up, there is no response from them. Would strongly advise against listing on pricegrabber.com

Top place to compare prices for anything you are looking for.

I came across trustpilot when I was searching for a new dishwasher. Not only do they have literally every type/model on site, but a selection of retailers where you can compare for the best prices. The site is set up in a great way and you can search price or specifications. In future whenever I want to buy anything I will always look here first for different products and the best price. Keep up the great work guys!

Lack of Support & Communication

We have been trying to go live with Pricegrabber for about 8 weeks now, and have waited for about 6 weeks for the account to be approved. The so called assigned account rep has been very unresponsive and vague with his answers. I guess they are generating so much revenue, they don't really care for additional revenue. It's a shame that Pricegrabber puts so little effort in customer support and business development. Anyway, Pricegrabber is not the right fit for us and I hope it will work out for those of you who are looking to advertise on its platform.

Possible Fraud Clicks

We have advanced ROI tracking software installed on our website. We were getting 3 X the amount of suspicious clicks (generally clicks that come through stay on site 1-3 secs then leave) then real clicks. Some of these could be legitimate but when your paying for every click you would hope the person would stay on the page for more then 1-3 secs. The ROI is less then 1% so it has been a total money pit. With Google Shopping I get a much better conversion rate , higher traffic and it costs less money. I am not sure that PG does anything malicious but its quite possible competitor fraud click. They should have a better matrix in place to insure that with a premium price you are getting good quality clicks.

Such a poor experience

I was excited when we first signed up, but after a week of waiting for the normal account approval etc. I decided this might not be the right option for us, so emailed to cancel, never heard back. A few days later we got an email saying the account was approved, well our card was charged so we decided to give it a chance, we did get some sales, however the interface is rudimentary at best. Our main issue is contact, we have an account rep, that must handle over 1k accounts, the turn around for a response is roughly 1 week, on top of that, the rep loses emails. We topped up our account with funds and still don't have any active products after 5 days of them having our money. We emailed the rep last week and the account manager has blatantly ignored the main issue and only addressed the secondary issue which has no effect on our products being listed. I hope this helps anyone who has an inquiry with this company

Rarely any issues. Quick merchant inquiry response time. Reports always available.

I've yet to have any real issue with PriceGrabber as a merchant, and we've been with them since 2009 at least. Our agent is very responsive, reports are reliably available and very granular, their listing and bidding options are among the most varied among comparison shopping engines, and any technical issues we've had with our feeds have either been a mistake on our end, or quickly identified by PriceGrabber's support.

My only gripes have been minor at best. I'd love web-query options for data reporting, and their product search in the bidding tool through their UI leaves some to be desired, and I'd love an option for a CPA pricing model, but it's all very manageable.

Multiple charges to my card on file have caused me to cancel my merchant account with this company.

I signed up with PG after suggested by Amazon, I now will do business with neither.

Pricegrabber, has charged my credit card over $250 in the past 24 hours, I have lost count on how many trouble tickets I have generated to resolve this. I get an e-mail right away indicating my ticket has been received and a rep would be contacting me shortly.... LIE

I found thier number through a 3rd party and have left at least 6 messages.

Finally I contacted my bank and am disputing all of the charges.

BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Thieves at best run it and give absolutely zero support for their worthless service

always unavailable to reach

so im speaking as a merchant. we signed up to pricegrabber.com and we submitted our feeds for review. They came back and rejected our feeds. They also assigned us to a technical person who is always unavailable to reach. We wanted to call them so we could resubmit our feeds but noone was available. Their tech person Alex is always unavailable, we called him 3-4 times, left voicemails but no response. Then we called their main phone number, remarkable to say that we had to go through a third party website to find because they dont disclose it through their site, and we still got noone to answer the phone to help us.

We are not canceling our account and moving to some other service. There is no point. You are not dealing with any sort of professional company that provides customer service nor they would care less about service. They sit down, charge you and do nothing without providing any sort of support

Avoid

Beware of Pricegabber promises

A promised award for rating Pricegrabber experience never materialized. Two responses from them promised a check, but never delivered. They now totally ignore me. Doesn't speak well to relying on them for anything.

Pricegrabber electronics Storefront purchase

PG search results come up with more than what is keyed into the search box. I purchased 2 electronic items thinking I got a hit for what I was searching, later to find it was an older, discontinued model with just 1 number different from my search. Although PG does have some reputable merchants, there are several that are bogus, have no physical inventory and just post in their stores what's up for auction at auctions.samsclub.com/ at prices over double what the item is sold for at the auction. This tactic is deceitful. I was duped by one of these vendors named Brand_New_Items. I want to prevent this from happening to anyone else. In this economy no one wants to be scammed or ripped off (in my case over 250 on 1 item!). Anyone with a Sam's Club membership and a credit card can bid at their auction site and save the cash these vendors overcharge.
This is not the first time I got ripped off by a vendor at PG. Apparently Pricegrabber condones this sort of tactic, they don't mind if customers get ripped off. They removed 3 feedbacks left for Brand_New_Items and put my account on hold.
