We have used Priceline a few times and…

We have used Priceline a few times and haven't had any issues in the past. But when an issue occurred on this current trip and I try to call they were not helpful at all. Not willing to accommodate our flights being canceled. The refund was a fifth of the cost of what a flight would cost. The flight was canceled the day before we were supposed to leave our vacation to go home. And now we have to figure out hotel stay, a rental car and a flight home with no assistance from Priceline at all. They need to improve their customer service. We booked this trip months in advance so we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for five people. And now our trip has ended up costing an additional $2,000 just to get home. After the cost of food and everything else it'll definitely go over that. Extra money we weren't planning on spending.

Reserved car. Paid. No car

It's not a fact that the rental car company will have a vehicle available even after you reserve and Priceline takes your money from your credit card and hold it for days

Booked a room through Priceline in…

Booked a room through Priceline in Gainesville, Fl May 1 -3, 2026. When we got to the hotel the room had been canceled because Priceline did not pay the hotel the correct amount for the room. The hotel declined the card used by Priceline. It was a pain having to talk and chat with virtual people trying to get to the bottom of it. Ended up having to call Priceline and wait to get the issue resolved. I will NEVER BOOK AGAIN THROUGH PRICELINE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. IT WAS A PAIN AND A TERRIBLE START TO OUR TRIP.

Elizabeth was extremely helpful and patient with us nervous parents booking a flight to get our daughter back to the country. She took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and placed the tickets correctly. We will definitely get in touch again for any future travel plans. :)

Priceline booked me with a scam car…

Priceline booked me with a scam car company. Being a reputable business such as priceline, I figured i was safe in their suggestions. WRONG! they also ended up screwing me with the price of the car rental because priceline takes some of those fees and then you end up paying more once you go to pick up the car. It was ridiculous. Next time, I book on my own. Screw priceline.

Trash

This company is a complete joke. I was charged $36 for “insurance,” never received the vehicle, and more than a month later I’m still fighting to get my money back. At this point, it’s not just bad service—it’s outright deceptive. They have no problem taking your money immediately but suddenly disappear when it’s time to refund it. The lack of accountability is ridiculous, and the entire experience feels like a scam designed to take advantage of people. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this site unless you’re okay throwing your money away. I’ll be keeping an eye out for a class action lawsuit.

I booked a rental and got the insurance. The same day I booked it the company told me they didn't have any cars. Priceline refused to refund my money back for the insurance and then tried to say I didn't back the refund request within 72 hours which was a lie. I will NOT be using Priceline again and if I could give a 0 rating I would.

Do your homework when booking air…

Do your homework when booking air travel with Priceline- you will quickly learn they are not cheaper than booking directly with most airlines. If you do book with Priceline and you have issues and have to cancel, you will NOT be refunded, even if the reason (Hurricane devastated my destination) is legitimate and covered by travel insurance. They will string you along with delay tactics hoping you eventually give up. Listen to these reviews- Priceline staff, management and executive leadership are all liars and thieves and your credit card company will do nothing on your behalf.

False Advertising

I booked a hotel with a Priceline listing that claimed it included a complimentary breakfast. I have a screenshot of proof. Not only was that true, Priceline did not do anything to make this right, and when I disputed the transaction as a result they somehow managed to win that claim as well. Will not be using them again and advise others to avoid interacting with a company with unethical practices like Priceline.

If I could give less stars I would

If I could give less stars I would. We booked a prepaid package with hotel, air and car. It was disclosed clearly that we would pay $33.78 to the hotel for fees. We expected that. We did NOT expect to have to pay $390 in additional fees PLUS a $200 security deposit to pick up our rental car. This was a total scam! Please do yourself a favor and book direct! Customer Service was totally unhelpful even at the supervisor level. They tried to point to a tiny link on my multiple page receipt but that doesn’t show up until after you’ve paid and booked. Really shady stuff going on. I’m not done. Going to report both Priceline and York rental car to the BBB, Dept of Consumer Protection and the Attorney general. Save yourself the headaches and book elsewhere with service!

REFUND? Good luck actually getting it

I was overcharged by an international Avis branch on my rental car. The car I rented was not available and they charged me for an upgrade. Priceline told me twice they would refund the money, but never did. Each time I call them they have no idea what I’m talking about and they waist another half an hour to 45 minutes of my time. At this point it’s obviously intentional. Use somebody else, they are unprofessional and intentionally misleading.

Annoying

PRICELINE'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU UNABLE TO UPDATE AN EMAIL FOR FLIGHT DETAILS.

A FLIGHT CREDIT WAS APPLIED FOR MY HUBBY AND A NEW FLIGHT WAS MADE FOR HIM. WHEN THE ORIGINAL FLIGHT WAS MADE I USED MY EMAIL, NOW THAT HE IS TRAVELING ALONE WE NEED TO ADD HIS EMAIL SO HE CAN GET NOTIFICATIONS AND PRICELINE SAYS WE CANT DO THAT. THIS IS DUMB. NO MORE PRICELINE

Stayed at a hotel in Fredricksburg
VA at an Americas Best Value Inn. The absolute worst hotel ever. Should be condemned. The pics on Priceline were misleading to say the least. They were not even pictures of the place we stayed. We tried to get a refund from Priceline but they refused. DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!! They do not keep their word and the customer service sucks. They use AI and endless prompts to contact them but are more than happy to take your money for bookings. I hope they get shut down for their misleading web site and lack of professionalism. Worst of luck to them!!!!

Save yourself the hassle!

Purchased tickets for 6 employees to and from a job plus a rental vehicle. When it was time to fly home they called us over an hour and a half before their flight was supposed to leave because they were told at the counter that the flight was full. That then evolved into someone telling them they were late so they were being denied boarding. How is an hour and half ahead of departure considered late? I have never encountered this personally so I called the airline, they (Frontier airlines) required our employees to pay additional fees for the same bags they flew to the job with (different airline) and they acknowledged that the baggage fees were paid before 9 am but yet they are marking them late when obviously they were in the airport nearly three hours before their flight. These employees fly internationally so they fully understand how airports and flights work. The only solution the airline offered was to give them a flight that would leave much later, require an overnight stay in another state and then still get them home extremely late the following day. They refused to refund anything and we had to purchase new tickets through another airline for nearly double the price just to get the employees home. At one point the customer service rep offered to give the employees travel vouchers but they didn’t purchase the tickets, my company did so that is not a viable option either. I contacted Priceline to see what they could do, especially since we purchased trip protection but they were less than helpful as well. Apparently for trip protection to be used you have to plan ahead for an emergency or unforeseen illness and have proof such as a medical bill and you have to prove you cancelled your flight. If you are denied boarding because they oversold seats they won’t help you at all and it looks like you just didn’t show up to board. We used Priceline because it was easier to get flights both ways and the rental but after this experience I would not recommend Priceline to anyone. It seems like they just want your money and when you are cheated by their system or the airline they don’t care. Save yourself the hassle and just book direct with the airline!
