First class

First class. delivery was a bit slow they blamed covid on this otherwise everything was great answered all my questions on WhatsApp and could even talk to them on the phone. I saved over €250 on the camera and picture's were brilliant like like he said they would. I couldn't recommend them high enough

Good but not as good as 1st experience

This is my 2nd time shopping with Prima. My 1st time was a 5 star review and my camera arrived in days in perfect condition. I wanted to give the same 5 star however I had to give a 4 star for the following reason.
I needed a lens to video a wedding on the 31st of July. I asked them if the lens was in stock and they said yes, so I ordered it on the 23rd, expecting it to arrive in time for the wedding as it was in stock.
It appeared that in stock meant in stock with their supplier in France, not actually in Ireland. Needless to say my lens didn’t arrive on time for the wedding which was very frustrating.
I just wish they were clear. If something is in stock, I assumed it was in Ireland ready to go, not having to be shipped in which in turn meant a longer delivery process.
So to summarise, yes the equipment was in perfect condition etc, they are reliable, however if you need a piece of equipment for a shoot/ wedding/ event, don’t rely on them for it to arrive on time for the event, if they say it is in stock, it might mean having to be imported from France and delivered 12 days later.
It does say delivery 6-12 days on their website and mine arrived on the 12th day so give yourself the 12 days incase. If your event is before the 12th day it may not arrive on time as in my experience.

Where shall I begin...

Where shall I begin... First is the delivery, placed the order on 17th of May and received it on the 1st of June, AliExpress delivers faster. I got in contact with customer service to cancel my order after 5 days no update on the order and I was told that the order had been processed, what processed meant was, they generated the shipment and boxed the product, I believe it is very hard to take the product out of the box and put it back on the shelf, it took another 2 days after that for the product to be collected by the delivery service. Hiding behind COVID-19 to excuse poor service, it is common practice nowadays for seller to get away with bad service. I received the product as mentioned, on the 1st of July, the product works as intended so far. I ordered a black camera and the packaging is for a silver camera, it might be a customer return, I do not know but on the website it was not advertised as such. Overall, bad bussiness I would shop elsewhere and save me the waiting and hassle. Order number PP1552.

We have collated a bulleted response to your queries and issues below, so please let us know if we have missed anything:

1. As you've stated, you placed your order on the morning of the 17th of May, and received a confirmation email stating that your order may take as long as 11-16 working days (in extreme cases), for it to be delivered.

Unfortunately, the delays experienced are due to a reduced distributor workforce, as well as the knock-on effect of delays with all of our courier partners, and are completely out of our control. Unfortunately, this has been solely due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a business that has, and will continue to weather the storm that Covid-19 has brought upon the entire retail, hospitality, tourism, aviation, as well as several other sectors within Ireland and the world, we cannot emphasize enough how we do not use Covid-19 as an excuse for anything.

Due to the logistical nature of our online retail business model, we are heavily dependent on other role-players who have, in turn, been heavily affected by the events of the past 14.5 months.

2. When you contacted us on Saturday, 22nd May, 4 working days after placing your order, to cancel with us, we informed you that it had already been processed at that point in time. What that means is that your order has been packed, and collection has been booked in with our courier partner.

Due to the reasons stated above, we are at the mercy our courier partners as to when that collection will take place which affects the delivery timeframe. We do expect, as industries continue to reopen and become less reliant on couriers, that the timeframe between processing and collection of orders will become much, much shorter.

3. In reference to our conversation on the 22nd of May, we also offered you the option of returning your order to us within the standard 14 day return window for a full refund. Your response to that was one of thanking us and wishing us a good weekend - a conversation we were happy to have with you outside of our office hours as we wanted to provide you with the best and quickest service possible.

4. We are shocked to hear that the colour of the camera on the box does not match the colour of the camera you ordered. We can absolutely assure you that we do not ship customer returns back out to customers - all of our products are brand new items. Our stock is received from the relevant manufacturer, which in this case is Canon, stored in the warehouse, and then shipped out when an order is received. We have never once had a return of a Canon EOS M200 camera or kit.

Again, to help alleviate this issue, you are still well within your return window, which means that we can have a replacement sent out to you with the correct matching box.
