Really pleased with our fabulous orangery. Primeoak were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble! Made such a difference to our kitchen, it’s now light and large with a lovely view!

Open day what open day, emailed phoned twice, no response. Finally tried one more time, the OVERFLOW receptionist was not even aware of the July dates and could only offer a call back. If they can’t even be bothered to call back, I seriously doubt the build we be a smooth process. We have a choice mine is to walk away after reading the negative feedback here.

Wondering what our best option for our retirement home we contacted Prime Oak. Darren was the designer who came. He immediately understood our needs, probably better than us. Every time we had a question Darren answered many times in person. Throughout the build which was a seamless, Darren kept in touch even sorting out a particular problem with a door. Thanks to Darren and Prime Oak we have a beautiful home fulfilling our dreams

Awful company, the 18% 1 star reviews should 100% be a higher number. This company will dupe you into signing a contract that isn’t even legal!!! They will lie and give you unrealistic build dates, not show up on time, not complete the work to an acceptable standard and funnily enough it will all be your fault! You will be left hundreds of thousands of pounds out of pocket and if you dare complain the will issue you letters sent to previous clients from their solicitors as a warning! Despicable I hope they are closed down very soon!

We had a great service from Prime Oak. Phil our designer couldn’t have been more helpful with ideas and drawings for our ancillary building. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the planning we needed but we would definitely recommend using their service and we are just sorry that we never got our beautiful oak framed building.

Prime Oak were brilliant because they gave us a wide range of design options. Their planning department are excellent and worked very hard with the planning authority. The quality of Prime Oak’s products is excellent.

I am an architect and have run my central London practice for 35 years.
When I was looking to build an extension to my barn in West Sussex I researched many oak frame providers. I visited several of them in different parts of the country and Prime Oak were by far the most approachable with easily the best product. Their seasoned oak makes for a better finished building with less cracks and movement than their green oak competitors.
The customer service from Prime Oak is really good. They are approachable and responsive. Building can be difficult, with split responsibilities and some dishonest contractors. Prime Oak are good honest Oak frame suppliers and builders.

Our new Orangery replaced two former buildings. It enhances our cottage, creating a light and airy living space, which blends attractively into our countryside surroundings.
We are pleased with the finished building. However, the time it takes for other trades to complete the internal living space should not be underestimated.
Particular praise goes to Matt Smith, the designer, who had the creative vision and went above and beyond to help us along the journey.
The aftercare team have been helpful and responsive in fixing a few teething issues, thank you to Amy Bowen and Neil Williamson

Fantastic design, great fitting, on time and tidy

Curious mix of experiences here. Regrettably I'm sharing mine as I've found them to be avoidant of any responsibility unless I pay a few hundred pounds to transfer the remaining 7 year warranty - taken out by the previous owners who engaged them to build an orangery. As a new owner of the home I've inherited a very attractive extension which, within 3 weeks, started leaking and has left damage to two internal walls. An insurance assessor concluded that the roof had been constructed to minimum standards, however a master craftsman would have adjusted the angle to prevent the issues I'm dealing with. I've had to revert to my home insurance to fix the problem, and will have more faith in another company to do the job correctly to be honest.
I've exchanged a few messages with the team, and while they've been responsive, I've been met with firm refusals to accept responsibility at every turn. If you enter into a contract with them be warned - you can't use it as a selling point as the warranty is non transferable without a fee!!!

This is a follow up to my 9 December 2022 review.

Prime Oak, only requested a shell completion certificate, which we weren’t aware of. We then had to get retrospective building Regs approval, which is expensive and should have been unnecessary, today the surveyor has visited and told us that the orangery can’t be signed off without an energy assessment. We were told during the sales process this wasn’t necessary as we were leaving the original external doors in.
Having raised this with Prime Oak, this is Prime Oaks response.

“We have had several orangeries signed off without SAP calcs recently where physical barriers are to remain. I stand by the fact that SAP calcs are not a requirement when a physical barrier is kept in place, but it would seem the new surveyor is taking a different view.

So according to Prime Oak the surveyor is wrong and yet again we pay the price! They can’t even blame the person they got rid of this time for lack of customer service!

As I said before a zero would be a more appropriate rating.

Our Oak framed Garages and Annexe have exceeded our expectations being delivered on time and now looking as if they have always been in their present location. The communications and support from Prime Oak have been outstanding with the quality of their tradesmen excellent and their determination to build a quality product obvious from the outset.

Excellent job from start to finish. A big thanks to Dan and Steve who guided us through the process from design to installation. Along with Ross who made an excellent job of a difficult roof interface.

We had a replacement lantern vent for our orangery. It was the wrong size, so they are making another. We have had excellent customer service from Amy Bowen of the After Care service and also incredibly helpful telephone assistance from Frank, a fitter, I think. Both deserve praise for patience and their help.

We had our Garden Room installed in 2022 by Prime Oak and we have always received excellent service from them. On the latest occasion all teams performed well to ensure the issues that were raised were carried out. Which they were with promptness and efficiency

We are absolutely thrilled with our beautiful oak framed orangery.
We decided to convert our garage and added orangery to it.

We've had our Prime Oak Orangery for almost 15 years and we love it! We recently had a query over some replacement window seals and the aftersales service we received was excellent. A special mention to Amy, who was polite, very helpful and always responded to emails promptly. We would not hesitate to use Prime Oak again and can thoroughly recommend both the product and the service.

From the first contact with Duane our designer, we were impressed with his advice and great experience. We felt that he totally understood all our requirements, and transferred these to the design which we were really pleased with. He was in contact with us regularly, visiting the site to check that the building would sit nicely in the space. He gave us updates regularly through each step, and always at the end if the phone if we had any questions. The two fitters Simon and Rich were brilliant. They worked tirelessly and were very informative during the build giving us advice on how to look after the oak etc. Can honestly say all three guys are an asset to the Company. Would definitely recommend if anybody is looking for an oak framed building. The building is beautiful, great craftsmanship all round and very well made.
