Wish I’d seen these reviews before using the company. Came up as a 5 star company on Google.. very misleading and a bunch of rip off merchants.
Contacted and arranged an emergency electrician who came out an hour later. He looked at the issue for an hour and then said he didn’t have the correct part but would be back the following day. Charged me the £180 call out fee having done nothing to solve the problem..
He then messaged the next day saying a colleague would come.. a few calls later and another day with no electric and he failed to show too. I then had to find another electrician to solve the problem at further cost.
These people left me in a house with no electric or heating knowing there were young children in the house and now ignore all messages.
Disgraceful company and tradesmen! AVOID!!

This is to thank the reviewers. I have had these guys calling me for the past 2 weeks.. they want to take me onto their list of professionals… I have refused as I don’t wish to be associated with such a company, thank you to your reviewers

We called them out in an emergency because the electrics had blown the trip out
The electrician that came could not fix the issue but demanded £180 from a near 90 year old man living alone leaving him with no heating, no phone and no careline because he is at risk with being deaf and near blind of falling etc
We are now waiting for some one to contact us ???

I strongly discourage anyone from using this service. Promised a rate of $180 per hour with assurances that experienced engineers could complete jobs within one hour. However, I was charged for multiple hours £600, costing me almost my entire salary. A misleading and expensive trap – won't be falling for it again. Wish I would have read the other reviews before falling on this trap.

First of all you booked an appointment yourself on my behalf saying that the plumber will reach you at 5:00 pm today. That shifted to 6:30 pm from your side due to non availability of a plumber at your end.

It is 7:00 pm now and still no plumber has come?

I'd give then 0 stars if that was an option. Absolute cowboys. Alot of reviews here about customer complaints, well try working for them. I done a few plumbing jobs for them but they started asking me to do electrical work as well which I'm not qualified for. They hounded me constantly with phone calls. And the cherry on the top, they stored my card details (without my permission) and started taking money from my account for jobs I didn't do, and when asked for a refund they said it would take 3-4 weeks, still waiting. What a joke of a company

I'm actually reviewing a company that purports to be called Professionals 24 by Direct 24. At least that's what they come up on WhatsApp as. I got in contact with them unwittingly by Googling for an emergency plumber in my area. I called what looked to be a local plumber called Robert. Oh how I wish I'd smelled a rat. The company I've named above have the same scam as others have reviewed here. Tell you it'll only take an hour to carry out repairs. Say its £180 call out for that hour. When I pressed for how much over the hour I was told £90 per 30 mins or part thereof. The problem I had was I'd drilled through a 8mm radiator pipe when putting up a picture. There's no radiator anywhere near it so a total accident and fluke. Sadly my usual plumber couldn't come. The plumber who did turn up didn't seem to be in that much of a hurry and even went to Screwfix to buy materials which took him 40 mins! He eventually got the job done after 3 hours 35 mins and charged us £730. I'm feeling so ashamed that I've been had. He wouldn't go until we'd paid him by BACS. AVOID Don't be duped as I was. I'm going to also post this review under the name they went with for me.

Needed a emergency plumber and done a Google search. This came in as a local plumber called Harold. Rang the number and was transferred to a call centre.
They took the details and said they ciidk send someone promptly. I said yes but after ending the call, I felt something was off. A quick bit of research found the number linked to this company together with the consistent terrible reviews. I phoned back to cancel, and wad told this would be passed to a manager. I made it clear I didn't want anyone sent. A few minutes later a very rude manager called back demanding a cancellation fee. When I refused he said he would be sending someone anyway and I would have to pay them. I let him know I wouldn't be answering the door amd I would call the police for trespassing if they stepped foot on my property. The manager hung up, no one showed. I done a proper search, found a decent local plumber instead.
Dodgy company, avoid at all costs. If you made a brief mistake like I did, don't hive them any money, treat them like the scammers they are.

5/6 minutes work 240 pounds , absolutely ridiculous, the first price was 180 then changed price I don’t know why,please avoid this company, some one should report it to the authorities

Don't use these charlatans!!! Absolute rip off charged me £180 pounds to come out and call Scottish Power for me . Absolute joke of a service. Stay away this is an agency who charge double to call someone for you

Rogue company and should be avoided at any cost. This company is providing dreadful service repeatedly and every customer is having the same experience. Argumentative customer service agents, unprofessional and don't uphold any of their own terms and conditions for consumers or their technicians. Won't share it provide invoicing after large payments have been made.

I wish there is a rating less than 1 because 1 is obviously too much for this nasty company. I also wish I read the review before contracting them, I wouldn't have. They charged me £180 for callout and labour to clip the 2 pipes of my radiator (I took the radiator out to extend the kitchen cabinets). I reluctantly agreed to pay the £180, they sent a man who said his call out to see the job was £180, he basically strolled in so casually not prepared to work. He collected the £180 from my wife and came back to fix the job. They later charged me another £180 for doing job, I contested it and they reduced it to £150.

I think I've just been scammed. I won't forget it in a hurry and I definitely won't forget.

Absolute scammers, do not use this company, no right to cancel without paying the full fee. DO NOT USE THEM.

Absolute rip off.
Called them out to fix leaking radiator. 15 minutes work to put some ptfe tape around threads and tighten up the nut.
£144 for that.
Have tried contacting them to explain thier pricing. But no reply (well thats a surprise NOT).
BEEN WAITING SINCE NOV LAST YEAR.
Is it a wonder yhat you never see a poor plumber.

Scamers they took my £172 probing to do the work. The plumber said they will come back as the pump of the boiler need to be replaced and he would sent a quote, but never came back even after repeated chasing. Please do not use them.

I booked a repair for my shower pipes. The contractor was late, but at least they seemed to fix the issue. 3 months later I noticed water under the floortiles, which had leaked to the garage below. Looking at the pipework I realised it was not finished correctly. When I contacted Emergency Services 24 for another visit they kept saying "we will inform the area manager", "the manager will contact you", I forwarded your report, you will be contacted asap", but nothing happened. This went on for 4 days: "I apologise for the delay, I am informing them once again", "I will forward your report again and you will be contacted asap", "I apologise for the delay". They were simply ignoring the situation, hoping that I would go away. Eventually I had to buy parts and tools and fixed the issue myself, but they should have sent another contractor, or a refund. They ignored me completely and failed to rectify their shoddy work.

Scammers came out to fix leak in boiler ended up breaking it altogether I did pay £396 stupidly when spoke to are manager only after threatening them with solicitors all she came out with was prove it ,it's ok Mrs area manager trading standards will be contacting you very soon

Avoid these scammers like the plague! Had emergency plumbing issue under shower, was charged £180 for call out, thankfully (in a way) issue was small so couldn't get away with charging more as the guy was in and out in 15 mins. Can't get hold of anyone and keep getting response saying manager will call back.

They advertise on Google as local plumbers - this was listed under Ben's Plumbers with 15+ years experience. I hope all the money you put into SEO and advertising helps you sleep at night!

My dad just contacted these to get a quote for some works, they wanted a call out fee to look at works so my dad said he wasn't interested as he thought he was calling a local plumber. They are now trying to charge a cancellation fee for the booking ! My dad has now spoken to the plumber who has told him he's not registered with these people, there is no booking for my dad or anything they are just charging people ! Absolute scammers need closing down ASAP. Reporting to trading standards
