The WORST proctor company! Taking a proctored exam / certification is never an enjoyable experience, but these guys are a joke. The amount of checks they ask for is insane..four corners of your room,... See more

LSAT Disaster
I attempted to write the Law School Admissions Test, yesterday and a test that is normally 3 hours took almost 7. Their support staff were completely unhelpful and rude. Overall completely horrible and disrupted the testing process for thousands of other test takers.

I spent 4 hours today trying to take the LSAT. The software would freeze up occasionally even though I was never able to take the test due to not being able to connect with a proctor. This company was definitely not prepared for giving out remote testing.
cause of August 2023 LSAT disaster
Tried to take the LSAT today and their system completely messed it up for thousands of people. I, like many others, spent hours waiting for a proctor to no avail. The system crashed several times as well. I was not able to take my exam and now must be rescheduled. Mental readiness is a large part of testing and this has completely thrown me. I am beyond upset.
Bad Company
Employees were rude and completely unhelpful but I can’t blame them as they are clearly understaffed. Absolutely terrible testing experience.
They do not tell you everything.
First time taking exam through them. Read all of the instructions on what to do for taking your exam at home. Not one word about a mirrored web cam. I have a cheap one. The guy, Hussein, said he could not let me take the exam due to my license was reading backwards on the cam. You could see it fine. Made a complaint on the BBB also. Rip off.

I took the test yesterday and was unable to get my score and just learned the only way to get it is to way 7-10 days. This is a horrible process and I wish companies and states didn't this company. There are better testing center options out there.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Unable to reach anyone. Poor customer service. I recommend not dealing with them if you do not have to.
the absolute worst experience
the absolute worst experience testing of my 26 years on this earth. this company needs to be sued and investigated for wrongful practice. I spent 2 hours trying to use their horrible software, was inspected by 6 different people only to get through a total of 5 questions. oh i should mention their technical support logs out before they are done admninistering tests for the day. I am still fighting with them to reschedule me in person. Countless hours of my time wasted
Worst Experience: Lack of Care and Concern
This was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. I have taken exams remotely before, but dealing with this company was a complete disaster. The staff's attitude was unwarranted, and they seemed to ignore all my concerns. Prior to the exam, my power went out, and I informed them about the need to keep the window open for visibility. Despite my explanation, they insisted that I was violating the rules.
During the room check, they refused to allow me to keep my water bottle, even though I had explained that there was no AC in the room. To make matters worse, during the exam, when the power came back, another person turned on a fan for me, and words were exchanged. Despite repeatedly informing them about the power situation, they terminated my exam because someone else turned the fan for me.
It was a frustrating and disappointing experience with this company, and I hope they can improve their procedures and treat their clients with more care in the future.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Took time off work and went out of my way to take the exam and record my speech. Listened to my speech after recording and could hear it perfect. Two weeks later they are claiming the volume is low and are requiring me to retake the exam. No accountability for anything on their end.
Scheduled two exams for the same day…
Scheduled two exams for the same day hours apart. The ONLY time I was able to connect, it somehow connected me to 2 proctors. They told me to log off and back in, and I couldn’t get another proctor after hours of waiting. The software and the “IT” are total junk. I can’t believe the MA government has contracted with this useless company. Total sham.
UPDATED experience from the end of July, I rescheduled to take the tests in person and that was a much better experience. The testing staff was very helpful and the process was fast and efficient. ProProctor, the online proctor service, doesn’t work at all. If it all possible, take your tests in person it’s much better. Still haven’t heard anything about a refund yet.
This company needs to get sued
This company needs to get sued. The level of vulnerability that they place a computer under is unacceptable. And their lack of consistency and professionalism is outstanding. I have had 2 days of hell testing with them. I do not ever want to have to interact with them again. One of the worst experiences I have had as a professional in my life.
I was scheduled to take the NRCME exam…
I was scheduled to take the NRCME exam on 7/10. when arrived to testing center, it was told to me that my test was cancelled because the payment had not gone through. However, the payment did go through. i sent proof of this payment. Prometrics never emailed me saying that my test had been cancelled. After battling for 4 hrs and multiple phone call drops, Yaash Namasivayam was able to reschedule me at 5 pm that day (original time 1 pm), 4 hrs later. At that time i had already left the testing center because i was hungry, angry, and tired and taking the test will lead to probably a fail score. Yaash Namasivayam was able to reschedule my test for 7/25. however, after this awful experience i decided to take the test with another company. this test being cancelled led to a very distressed afternoon. It is a huge mistake that prometrics led this happen. will not recommend this company for testing for anyone. this test was not even a deciding test for my career and it caused a lot of stress. if you need to take a deciding test for your career, do not choose prometrics
Where do you take an exam in Mobile AL
Where do you take an exam in Mobile AL? The Hillcrest location is closed and they don't have the website updated or a note on the door.
Customer service does not help nor try
Took an exam where I was placed in front of a fan. Because of this, my test performance suffered. When reported through email, I was told that there was a 10 day timeline and that’s it nothing can be done. When is there a timeline for complaints? It’s only been a little over 2 weeks. I’m going to fight for this because I don’t think it’s fair that I payed so much for the exam and now have to pay again when where’s the security for a comfortable testing environment? If regulations are so strictly followed by us testers, why doesn’t the test center do the same?
Useless, unprepared, and unprofessional
Avoid taking exams with this joke of a company whenever possible. Their systems constantly fail, and they do not take accountability.
USELESS TO SOCIETY.
Prometric's bad service cost me $5,000
I was taking a licensing exam for my job in finance and I only scheduled with them because the closest testing center for this test is 80 miles away. I wish I would have drove the 80 miles to take this in person. I was taking the test and I am about halfway through the exam, I was talking out loud while reading the questions and they stopped me halfway through the exam. My proctor thought I was cheating because he heard talking (from me) so he came on the screen and wanted me to unplug everything out of the wall for my test including my tv in the other room. I was nervous, so I complied with them and while he was telling me I had to unplug everything in order to resume taking my test I accidently unplugged my internet cord. I plugged it back in immediately and I had to log back into the test. It wouldn't let me get back into the test so I started calling customer support and I was bouncing around from person to person wasting over an hour. I then find out that this experience counted as my test!!! I obviously failed because I wasn't able to finish it. To add insult to injury, my company was offering a $5,000 bonus if I was able to finish it the first time. I lost my right to qualify for that bonus because of their horrible service. I am quite certain I was going to pass that test too. I am so disgusted It makes me want to throw up
Avoid wherever possible
Avoid wherever possible. I have a remote exam booked with Prometric. The ProProctor system (if you can call it that) is not working, with no explanation or error message to assist with troubleshooting. Only a black screen is showing when I try to get through to my demonstration test. I can’t get through to customer service - the line just goes dead. Their ‘ChatBot’ that they claim can assist with technical issues is infuriating. It asks which language you would like to proceed in, and then whether or not you have a confirmation number. If you answer yes and provide your confirmation number, it confirms that your exam is booked and then terminates the chat. If you answer no, it advises you where to book an exam and terminates the chat. If you try to deviate from the conversation regarding the confirmation number, such as asking to speak to a human, it ends the chat. During an already stressful time leading up to an exam, Prometric’s lack of care and diligence make the experience wholly more stressful. I will do everything in my power not to use any of their systems again.
Prometric testing site/Warwick RI
Why is this company still in business?? I just drove an hour away to take my exam and I was greeted with a line of test takers waiting for the facility to open. A 1/2 hour later someone let us know that the person responsible for holding the testing was not going to be able to show, so everyone's test was canceled. So unacceptable and unprofessional. Then I received an email while driving back home to not go to the site as my test was canceled. Really??? I little late don't you think. You are messing with people's livelihood and top it all of MONEY!! We pay for these tests. I saw the reviews the day before I had to take the test and after studying for months and all weekend I had a bad feeling. I guess my gut instinct was right. I went online and read there is a new CEO and they closed down many sites (see below). I felt bad for so many who were in line that need to test in order to start a new job. I read the reviews on the BBB and it's disgusting.
This is the latest news regarding Prometric that I found online: "An Alleged Insider Warns About ‘Chaos and Hell’ Behind the Scenes at Prometric"
"If you’re scheduled to test with Prometric, may the odds be ever in your favor. Soon to be ex-proctor here. Just a heads up on the chaos and hell going on behind the scenes. Prometric got a new CEO a couple of months ago and he has gone scorched earth with cost cutting. “Low revenue” test sites (like mine) are being closed. And they have eliminated over 75 center manager positions effective April 19th.
What does this mean for you as a test taker? Well, be prepared for sporadic center closures. It has already happened in a few centers ( Wilkes Barre, PA and Sarasota, FL I know of for sure). Also, less than motivated staff taking care of your exam. I’m doing my best personally to hold it together. But it is quite stressful not knowing what the next day brings."
I will be contacting the company that I have I am taking the test for and will a make a suggestion that they need an alternative testing vendor. Good luck all who need to test!
