UK manager doesn't have a clue what's going on

Awful experience, the guys in the UK don't have a clue what's going on.

ordered a bike months ago and yet to hear any update at all.

Spoke to the manager and he's doesn't have a clue either. The manager massively seems under qualified for what he has control over, perhaps the german team need to get in contact and provide some training in customer service, as its definetly needed.

Everytime I call up I get fed utter bs from him, never trust a word that comes from him! He doesn't know what he's talking about!

Just go a get a bike from the lovely guys at YT or even Canyon

Amazing customer support after frame failure

I bought my Hugene 2CF last summer and got it delivered from Propain in 4 weeks time, this was beyond my expectations based on reviews I had read. The bike has been amazing, by far my favorite bike so far. This spring I was going to service the headset bearing and sadly I found a frame crack inside the headtube in the bearing race. I was devastated and expected a long and gnarly warranty process. During easter I sent in a "bike complaint" to Propain and got reply directly after the holidays. Rapid process and now 3 days after Propain's first reply I have a confirmation that a new main frame is on its way to me. I couldn't be more happy!

Crashed with my new Ekano 2 AL and some parts took a hit and broke. Björn provided me parts a needed with no extra cost at all. So glad to to have customer service like this, highly recommend! 🔥

Very very satisfied !!

Hello. I am from Romania and I am writing this review because I want to express my satisfaction with the product and the collaboration in general. The bike was ready for shipping exactly on the date communicated when I paid for the order. I have nothing to complain about. And the only thing I would work on would be a faster response to emails. But, I think that, working globally and the volume of emails is enormous. In the end it is ok. The bike is AWESOME. It came exactly as I configured it. I can't wait to get back to you with my opinions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the Propain team 👍.

Like in family

Propain customer service deserves the highest possible rating. Two of my problems when buying a bike were solved very quickly by the propain team. My messages were answered very quickly. The service was very nice, patient and helpful. Shopping at Propain is a real pleasure. You feel like you are part of a family. And the bikes are real masterpieces. This will be the first company I'll contact, when buying another bike.

Wow what a Bike !!

My first experience was a phone call to Crawley and I spoke to John who was very very helpful and the call made me visit the uk office.
At the office I then met Adam who was also very helpful discussing the bike I was interested in,( Ekano 2 cf ). I went away excited about the bike. Online I went to configure a bike spec.Phone calls to Adam who was very patient with and advice on various components etc.
I bought the bike early 2024 and WOW what a bike !! A couple of issues early doors but the after sales was brilliant.
A brilliant well made and engineered mountain bike. It’s given me so much confidence going downhill on sections I would never would have done before on my other bikes. Thank you Propain for making me a Happy Bunny 😂

Quick response, good consultation

Bicycle was sent much quicker then anticipated, arriving ca. 10 days after the order. When I asked what I would need to fit a dual crown fork on a Spindrift, they’ve sent a spacer free of charge. Also, the consulting during and after the purchase was great, with answers within a day for any questions I had.

Top marks here

Ordered a bike early on this year...was given a date for delivery.. bike actually shipped a couple of weeks early
Bike was a Tyee AL Gen 6 Shred build...there was no other bike manufacturer that came close pricewise to this spec
Propain also let me make some changes after ordering e.g. Headset, handlebar rise, with no issues
Decided to wrap my bike when I got it before I took it out. Ran into some issues with air bubbles as Propains decals sit proud of the frame. Got on to Propain who sent out a fresh batch of decals FOC.
Would have no hesitation in dealing with them again

avoid

I am at 7 weeks since I ordered a bike. It was supposed to be shipped 3 weeks ago. I have not gotten any communication since I placed the order. I attempted to contact service over a week ago and have gotten nothing.
I strongly recommend you look at a company like Evil, YT, or Canyon because Propain does NOT care about you. I feel like I have been defrauded.

Avoid until Delivery and Customer Service Issues are Sorted

Seven weeks ago I ordered a bike with an expected shipment date of two weeks ago. I am still waiting for notification that the bike has been shipped and company tried to claim that shipment date should have read build date, even then the build did not start until after the shipment date and there have been zero updates since.

By such behavior Propain have totally wrecked my customer experience and have turned what should of been joyous into a nightmare. The process should of been simple, order->updates->shipment->receive bike. Instead its order->flurry of vague emails that appear designed to delay build->radio silence and no bike.

It has now got to the stage where a formal complaint to UK Trading Standards is on the cards due to non-fulfillment within a reasonable period of time of a sales contract.

Take Your Money Then Disappear, ZERO Communication

"Whoops sorry your email went to our junk folder" - was the last thing I ever heard from Propain, after they took thousands of dollars of my money and missed the given ship date on my bike by several weeks. Propain has been notorious on forums and reddit for years for this type of thing - I convinced myself maybe things had to have gotten better by now, but Propain has just been straight up not responding to multiple emails over an unreasonably long period of time (I've been overly patient giving Propain a week between sending them another email pleading for an order status update). I passed up a lot of deals on frames from established companies with MUCH better reputations & warranties to roll the dice on Propain because some folks speak very highly of the product despite the awful experience with the company, and it's competitively priced (for a frame made in PRC) - but that doesn't matter at all when you're being ghosted by them for months after giving them your money. I'm so thankful for charge back on my credit card because Propain wouldn't even respond to my requests to cancel the long overdue order. Do yourself a favor and get a US-based brand that cares about riders and the sport, the price difference isn't really that much and you can get a carbon frame with a lifetime warranty and stellar customer service. Niner, Norco, Transition, Pivot, Specialized, Giant, Trek, Devinci, Ari, Canyon, YT, Canfield, Commencal, Orbea, Revel, Banshee, Santa Cruz, Ibis, Kona, Yeti, Rocky Mountain, Scott - literally none of them would find this an acceptable experience for one of their customers, or even a prospective customer. It's honestly been incredibly stressful and humiliating being ignored by Propain after spending so much money with them, they seemed very eager to make the sale but I guess beyond that is where I as a customer stop mattering to Propain. I feel shame for letting Propain con me into trusting them over literally any other brand who has a significant presence in the sport and supports riders and trail builders. As far as I'm concerned Propain is vaporware that only exists on YouTube and in social media pictures. Propain doesn't deserve to stay in business with the way they treat customers - especially in a time like 2024 when the bike industry is facing some challenging time. Propain SUCKS! I see what they've done (not ship a bike I paid for and not responded to any of my emails asking about it) as THEFT. I could never trust Propain to honor a warranty if their frame turned out defective - assuming they'd even respond to a warranty ticket.

No updates. Bad customer service.

I ordered a bike from this website on April 25th, received an order confirmation with an estimated shipping date on May 23rd. I know the shipping date can change, however I haven't received any updates from the company. I sent emails asking for an update for my order but I've got no replies since May 24th and 28th. I also tried to call but no-one picked up the phone. At this moment I'm unsure what's going on. Is the bike coming or did I just lose 3200 euros?

Great service, great bikes

I recently purchased a bike from Propain. There were some issues with order fulfilment (this is my only reason for deducting a star, I really wanted a purple frame :D , though i think this is the story of the bike industry right now)
The service staff were great with keeping me informed through the whole process.
After delivery I broke a part on my bike and they promptly sent me a replacement.
Special shout out to Leo W and Lucas for the communication

Misleading website.

Misleading website.

After putting together my bike in the configurator to get an idea of the price, I decided to sell my old bike first before ordering the new one. When sold the old one and I went to order the new bike, it was only at the last step of the checkout that I discovered that all prices shown were exclusive of VAT and that the real price of the bike was therefore much higher than first shown. After I contacted customer service they said this was something that happened often and there was nothing they could do about it. If I bought the bike I could get a free t-shirt..
However, three days later the problem with the prices in the configurator was suddenly resolved..

At the end of the story I was left without a bike and brushed off by Propain. Never before have I experienced a company that was so unhelpful and cooperative. But in the other reviews I read that unfortunately I am not the only one who has this experience with this service.
