Was initially a bit hesitant at ordering from here given the higher cost, but definitely worth it. Great selection of amazing fabrics, and the precise fit makes it totally worth it. Will definitely be ordering again.

Best place to order MTM shirts online. Great selection of fabrics, tons of design options, informative and visual configurator. The execution is solid, and the turnaround is very reasonable at about 2-3 weeks for a shirt.

I've bought 10 shirts from Proper Cloth over the last 6 years and love them all. It's really not any more expensive than getting a designer shirt off the rack, and you can get the details and fit customized so your shirt is one of a kind.

Going to the showroom took a lot of the guesswork out of both fit and selecting a fabric, so I highly recommend doing that. Their online service was great, as well - I sent them pictures of my shirts so they can suggest adjustments for future shirts or remakes.

Very impressed at how well the representative was able to make such accurate sizing using a Zoom meeting. I don’t live near a store so this service is very valuable.

I ordered shirts from Proper Cloth for years. This summer I ordered shorts. I thought there would not be an issue with ordering full pants. I was wrong. Proper Cloth is great for shirts but poorly prepared for re-measurements with pants. I used their online tool to select my fit for chino pants. The pants I got were too short. I had them professionally altered to lower the hem. The pants were still too short. I contacted Proper Cloth by signing into my account. I submitted three photos to them of me in pants and waited. Proper Cloth had the nerve to send me an email on October 24th, 2025 asking for how my refit went.

When I signed in today. There is indication that I sent a request for a refit, but the above email shows I had to, so what is going on with Proper Cloth? The email is proof the refit was sent.

Proper Cloth neither contacted me for a refit nor did they follow through on their inquiry. All they want is a positive review. Well, I am giving them what they deserve. Proper Cloth is not an efficiently run clothing line. The problem one encounters with shirts is not the same for pants or jackets or vests better known as gilets. If you buy a shirt from Proper Cloth. You will have a better experience, but if you purchase pants, a suit or any garment below the waist. You will be deeply, deeply disappointed like me. I can buy any pair of pants I want. I don't need Proper Cloth's chinos. Brooks Brothers have a similar type chino, and then there is the old tried and true Banana Republic and JCrew. At least you get better customer service from Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic or JCrew and not the ill treated customer service that Proper Cloth offers. I repeat! Do not order pants from Proper Cloth.

The video consultation with Stephanie was excellent! She was professional, friendly, and immediately understood what I was looking for. Her advice on jacket and shirt fit was spot-on, and the size recommendations perfect. Highly recommend her expertise overall.

I can always expect to receive a shirt that is well constructed and is made from of excellent fabrics.

High quality shirt; fits well; not exactly cheap but a good value nonetheless.

Proper Cloth is a new way of buying dress clothing. They have an amazing assortment of fabrics and styles and you can not only customize the fit, but you can tweak nearly any of a garment's parameters (such as type of pocket, type of collar, numbers of buttons on sleeves, types of buttons, etc.) I also love being able to select contrasting fabrics for the inside collar or inside of sleeve ends. And the value is remarkable given the quality and styling. I have some Proper Cloths shirts that I've worn regularly for more than 10 years.

I have ordered five items from proper cloth.
My most recent was a traditional blue blazer; they missed the fit a little bit in the shoulders but replaced the whole garment immediately and without additional charge. These guys do a great job of customer service providing classic, long-lasting haberdashery.

I've met with a consultant on line and recently met with one in a Proper Cloth store. They go out of their way to make sure you get the best fit. I've made several purchases with the company and I've been very happy. They seem genuinely committed to customer service!

I love my custom shirt. I look great in it. Worth the money cause it fits!
