Poor Service

The whole warranty process with Protek has been very disappointing. Protek initially said they would rely on Building control reports to issue the warranty and then changed their mind, asking for extra irrelevant, supplementary, information at a later date that I as the developer couldn't provide. Eventually they withdrew cover. The whole process made them look amateurish and unprofessional.

We recognise the administration of a particular Building Control provider has caused difficulties for some of our customers and in some cases has left them with insufficient reports/ information to enable the warranty audit process to be completed.

While this situation stems from an external event beyond our company’s influence, we understand the concern this causes for those whose policies are affected. Every impacted case is reviewed individually. Where construction quality cannot be evidenced via the Building Control reports, we actively seek alternative evidence or offer different product options to ensure continued protection. Withdrawing cover is only ever considered as a last resort when all other avenues have been exhausted.

We remain committed to working through these options with any of our customers. All customers have the right to raise a complaint if there are dissatisfied with the handling of their case. Please contact our Customer Service team should you wish to log a complaint.

Protek have made the entire process…

Protek have made the entire process simple transparent and fast. It has meant that my lack of knowledge was not exposed and I felt the security of having the appropriate insurances in place to safeguard everyone and everything as we progressed.

Don't bother using these people

Don't bother using these people, from my experience they will do anything to avoid passing perfectly acceptable stages of work on new build properties that building control pass, it seems they have a game plan to make it as obstructive as possible to resolve non existent issues raised by the surveyors and also use 3rd party surveyors that haven't got a clue at what they're inspecting and don't even have the working/detailed drawings passed to them by Protek, surveyors inspect work at correct stages, give it thumbs up on site and then low and behold an issue is raised several days later by the Protek surveyor link tracker thats emailed over. Will be going back to LABC for future builds, far more professional and qualified surveyors.

Great customer service

Had a deadline for issue of a cover note today, having spoken to Gill and advising that some information had been previously provided, she looked into straight away and resolved the outstanding items enabling her to issue the cover note.

Really appreciate the speed in which this was dealt with, Gill was easy to communicate with responded in a quick and efficient manor, this has enabled me to provide a great service to my client.

Many thanks Gill, great to have you on the Protek team.

Efficient and Supportive service

As we had to sell our new build home not long after completion we found ourselves with several issues to resolve with our existing warranty. It took some time (not down to Protek) to work through these issues and we cannot thank the Protek team enough for getting us to the point whereby all the issues were resolved by them and our house was sold. We would like to thank Bethany and Jack for all their work on getting the warranty amended etc and special thanks to Nicola who got us over the line! A great team!

Our client appointed Protek Warranties…

Our client appointed Protek Warranties for their recent development. We were engaged with most of the team there in order to process all items to completion and found Holly Collins specifically to be very helpful and always go above and beyond to help out and meeting our clients required timeframes. Would recommend.

Protek’s Support was Fast, Friendly, and Fantastic! Huge Thanks to Abi!

Fantastic service with a smile (I imagine)!
I was looked after by Abi, who must have a superhero cape tucked away somewhere. She went above and beyond, bending over backwards (probably literally) to get us a competitive quote and expedite everything like a pro. Not only did she guide me through the process with patience and charm, but she also followed up when she said she would - which, let’s be honest, is rare these days. Abi made what could have been a headache feel like a breeze. 10/10, would totally trust her in a crisis! A huge asset to the Protek team.

"I couldn’t be happier with the alarm and CCTV installation and service! The team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my specific needs. They explained every step of the process and ensured everything was set up perfectly. The quality of the equipment is top-notch, and I now feel so much safer knowing my property is well-protected.

Great service obtaining a retrospective Warranty!

We needed to get a retrospective warranty on our self build home. Circumstances and Covid meant that we had been living in our home for some time without a 10 year warranty. I contacted Protek and explained that I had ,in fact ,paid for the warranty but had not sent in all the documentation. Natalie Walkling became my "go-to" contact and she patiently explained what I needed to do and which certificates to send in. She organised an independent survey for us and finally today we received the Certificate! The process was sometimes baffling but ,to be fair, only because this was something I am not used to on a day to day basis! So a great service and handled professionally and courteously . Thanks Natalie and Protek!

Useless inspector

We have done several self builds and every time we had the same building inspector. He used to be a joiner / builder in the past. Both houses were rejected for the insurance as they were built to Scottish standards and the inspector doesn't know anything regarding Scottish building standards. Absolute joke. Don't use protek. Never again.

Great Customer Service

Despite warranties and insurances being a necessity and not an exciting expenditure. All the guys at Protek were helpful and knowledgeable. When small adjustments had to be made they were patient and understanding. I did especially appreciate Ely's help. When she found out the urgency of the adjustment that had to be made, she prioritised my request and within a few hours, I had received the amended documents. Great customer service!

Self Build Warranty

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Protek.
Jack has been outstanding in his level of service and professionalism.
It has not been an easy journey being the 1st Self Build we have built with various issues and unknowns but the advice and support from Protek ( from both Jack and Holly) have guided me through the process.
Thank you again Jack for your continued support and we got there in the end!
