I booked online to have an Air Con Regas
Nothing was a trouble. I dropped my vehicle off, a couple of days later, and I was informed that the Regas would be completed in 30 to 45 min. After a coffee at a local cafe, I returned after 40 min, to have my vehicle waiting for me on the forecourt.. Nice cold air, and at a very reasonable price.. Many Thanks to all the guys.

I took my Father's Micra to Darcys at Framwellgate Moor for a service and MOT. (Local people will recognise this name rather than Protyre) As always, the work was well priced and carried out efficiently. Advice was given in respect of the MOT 'advisories' and absolutely no attempt was made to persuade me to get work carried out that was not required. A refreshing experience.

Been using Protyre for sometime (and their predecessor Darcy's). Both seem to have the same ethos. ........in any event I trust them. The service is very good and the prices competitive.....and they don't seem to try and find work!
I always take my cars to these guys, being modified they take a bit more patience to pass emissions on the mot, the tester did exactly this and the car was given a fresh 12 months mot.

My name is Andrew Farmer and I went to the Durham branch of Protyre this is my experience.
On Friday I had four all season tyres fitted on Good Friday 3/4/26 I do not drive much due to my health conditions. Unfortunately on Easter Sunday one of the tyres went flat so this morning I called them expecting co-operation and understanding to replace it.
The person Simon was most abrupt he could remember my order without looking at the system and knew that it had to be my fault that there were issues with the tyres. He was not interested in anything that I had to say . When I choose any firm it’s on the basis of price, reliability of the product and satisfaction that when all said and done things are done competently.
In fact of the tyres that has the issue now was the same one where it caused me to consider replacing my tyres.
Simon’s attitude stank he was abrupt, rude, lacking empathy and understanding and felt not valued as a customer.
The details you have requested have already been forwarded to customer relations department. It’s my Vauxhall Corsa WV62DZU in the name Andrew Farmer .
Despite all good intentions from this company the many departments nothing more than a cover up but no action.
It’s not my integrity or competence that is in question but Protyre. Maybe their processes for dealing and valuing customers need to be re examined. I had an email saying the way that I had spoken with the manager was in appropriate I would very much like to listen to that call. If a client has chosen a garage then their competence has to come into question. If fobbing off customers by not taking any sense of responsibility how does this make any right minded person. Angry , annoyed frustrated. I have received no call from them, no senior manager taking ownership of the situation because at the forefront customer satisfaction isn’t their concern. I do hope that I can prevent others from using this company because they do not give a damn.

I had previously used this garage some years ago for 4 wheel alignment and the service was superb. Unfortunately on this occasion it was less so. Notwithstanding a cancellation (and discount) I felt that the technical side of the work was not clearly explained and sadly the alignment display that used to be visible in reception seems to be no longer in use.
