Excellent service and ease of booking
We have used the Syston branch for some time. It is so easy to book and choose tyres online and the service at the branch is always outstanding.
We also booked my sons car in the Leicester branch for the MOT as these can't be done at Syston, and again the staff were helpful and extremely friendly.

Had a seized nut on wheel alignment, they were short staffed but were very very helpful and went above and beyond to get it fixed. Saved me alot of money! Would definitely recommend!

I ordered my tyres in advance online. They were a good price and I had confidence in Protyre for as I had ordered Pirelli Tyres and they are a certified Pirelli fitting centre.
Unfortunately I was let down as the technicians were inexperienced in two fields:
1) Fitting tyres to vehicles with dynamic (air) suspension. In my case, it was a Land Rover and they questioned why the vehicle had a particular setting enabled, suitable for wheel alignment.
2) The wheel alignment was incorrect. They aligned my vehicle for the wrong model.
Although they were keen to rectify the issue free of charge once identified, it is still less than satisfactory and sub-par compared to service I have received elsewhere.

The service was really good
The service was really good. My only complaint would be the price. Had 2 equivalent tyres to what I purchased approx 9months ago and they were around 40% more expensive.

Be alert to upselling
Staff were polite and friendly.
I visited to have 2 front tyres fitted. However a brake fluid check was also conducted without my consent. I was told it needed replenishment-however my car had been serviced the week before!
I took my car out of Protyre and the service light and tyre pressure lights were now lit?!
I visited my garage who again checked the brake fluid level which was normal. One of the newly fitted tyres was over inflated!! When this was corrected he the service light went off!
I believe this was an exercise in up-selling-will not be returning!
