Waiting Time

I have always used the Dorchester branch of Protyre and they have always been on time for me at the booked appointment. This was my first experience at the Weymouth branch and although the standard of work was high, the tyres were good value for the price and the staff were friendly, I had a 40 minute wait after my allotted booking time before they started replacing my tyres with an excuse that they had just had some tyres delivered. Not very impressed and hope that the Dorchester branch is open in the near future.

Booked and paid for a couple of tyres…

Booked and paid for a couple of tyres upfront and both fitted within 15 minutes of booking. Very happy with the service I received and will definitely use again

Spent hours waiting

Spent hours waiting despite having an appointment booked online.
Locking wheel nut tool was then broken and I was sent away with two wheel nuts missing in order to buy replacement tool.

MOT not completed

I had an MOT booked for 28/05/2026 at 10:00am. At around 9:00am on the day, I received a phone call informing me that the technician due to carry out the MOT was unwell, so the appointment would need to be rescheduled. The staff member was very polite and even offered to contact another garage on my behalf if they were unable to fit me in soon.

I then attended the rearranged appointment on 03/06/2026, only to be told at the desk that the technician was still off sick and that I should have been contacted beforehand. Unfortunately, I never received any phone call or notification.

I had booked my MOT well in advance because my current MOT was due to expire soon. Due to the lack of communication regarding the cancelled appointment, I was not given the opportunity to arrange an alternative booking elsewhere, and I am now left without a valid MOT.

When arrived I was told it will take about 45mins it took just over 2hrs when asked I was told short on staff but that's an excuse they always say

After a slight hiccup with the appointment the customer service I received was excellent. The singing from the staff was entertaining and brightened up my morning. Thanks guys, you were great.

Fabulous service from Ayrton

We arrived just as the garage was about to close with what we thought was a puncture as the warning light had come on. Despite being on his own for the day, Ayrton checked over each tyre, added pressure as needed and, having found a deep gash in one of the tyres, replaced it with a new one. Fabulous customer service
