Rejoined after an absence of 18 months or so. 24/7 access and fairly quiet during the evenings. Plus just down the road from me. Perfect!

Puregym Idle. I joined as close to home. However ladies section is very limited. How come we can't have a skierg or airbike? Also the lat pulldown machine does not have a seated row option!! And then another thing some women are so lazy don't put their weights back! It's like a shitshow sometimes. Fair enough the fault is the womens using the weights but if PTs are in the room why can't they say something?! And lastly if its womens only how come male PTs come in all the time, it's not fair for Muslim clients who wear hijab!!

I joined PureGym yesterday through the website and installed app. The payment was taken from my bank and emailed me a receipt, yet my membership is still showing as inactive. The app shows INACTIVE membership. I cannot access the gym, book classes or even cancel the membership because it has not been activated.

I emailed member services , I emailed the gym owner Susie on LinkedIn, I also used Facebook. Very very unhelpful.

I contacted PureGym through Facebook, but the person I spoke to was unhelpful and simply told me to email Member Services. I have emailed them and still received no response. There appears to be no way to speak to an actual member of staff who can resolve this.

Taking someone’s money without providing the membership they paid for and then making it impossible to cancel or obtain help is absolutely shocking. I would not recommend PureGym based on this experience.

I have raised a dispute with my bank.

It’s such a shame based on this experience I won’t be using PUREGYM.

I don’t have the funds to join another gym until I get my refund. Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!!

Excellent gym with a super convenient location for work. Great selection of kit and lovely staff who will do whatever they can to help. Shout out to Jordan.

I cancelled my membership today!! The racism and discrimination in this gym is disgusting, but the worst part is the management. They know it happens, they see it, and they do absolutely nothing to stop it. By standing by and letting members be targeted, PureGym Market Street is enabling a hostile environment. They do not care about your safety or respect. Avoid this place at all costs...

Even when I feel anxious, I like how I feel when I've been. It's clean and spacious, so I don't feel claustrophobic~

The staff are smiley and friendly too, especially the manageress. Just saying "hi,"or asking how the session is going, makes me feel like I've made the right choice to 'brave' the gym that day :)

As a newcome to the gym, I was just trying to work out. I then got approched by a random person trying to look intimidating claiming that I should not be wearing jeans in the gym. There were no signs to suggest otherwise. Despite him not wearing the PT (personal trainer) uniform, I apologised, so as to not cause any disruption in the gym. He told me that he will allow me to work out for today. I felt uneasy and weirded out for the rest of my workout at Edgware Puregym. Its safe to say that I will not be coming back, I do NOT recommend it at all since its not beginner friendly.

Felt welcomed and encouraged by the instructor (Rui ) which was important to me as I hadn't been for a couple of months

What is my favourite thing about PureGym Wakefield is the happy faces I see ,members love it, the friendly atmosphere, the whole staff are great, it stems from manager, Charlotte Gough, such a great motivated, I will always give support to her

Good communication via email. My query was handled and resolved. Pleased with the Service I received.

I enrolled for the 7.20am LIFT class and as I was the only person attending, Coach Junior Hibbard offered me a pensonal session on the gym floor. This was absolutely outstanding. He worked on my squat technique and gave me some fantastic exercises to work on my weaknesses following an ankle injury. Junior is an invaluable member of the team, so knowledgeable and kind, and creates a warm and friendly atmosphere whenever he is present in the gym.

Very poor experience at Pure Gym Bury, Woodfield Retail Park,

Drinks machine always empty; vending machines poorly stocked, never any soap in the bathrooms.

Basics that even a budget gym should be able to keep on top of.

If it is for members to top up let me know and I will happily do it for you….!

My son uses both the Burnham and the Staines gyms often and loves them both, staff and facilities are top notch. But I have to mention the amazing help we've had with the assist @puregym.com team especially Sarah, Lukas and Joshua who went out of their way to help get a parking penalty cancelled after he stayed 15 mins after the 2 hour limit and messed up putting his car details in on the tablet at Burnham. We were lucky that this gym is able to contact the parking penalty company directly as not all can do that! Thank you all we appreciate your help

How the hell, can you get answers to simple questions ,there are no phone numbers , or Email addresses, not even a decent AI chat box... very slack....makes me want to cancel membership again!.... Gary enfield.................................................In fairness they did get back to me the next day ,with the answer i needed , so I guess i was somewhat frustrated. But problem solved!...

Generally Pure Gym are pretty good.
One downside is that if you need to cancel it is not easy to find out how to do so. I spent hours searching their app, then going to my online account but was unable to find out how to cancel.
A customer service tel number for help would be a great addition!! The chat was a waste of time.

Quite simply it’s a great gym, really good atmosphere, clean, great environment and equipment and added to that 24 hr access means you can fit your gym time around your personal time table

Absolutely unhygienic, smelly no air con toilets showers stink taps all dirty very disgusting gym
