Not clean
The gym itself is fine, but there’s a huge lack of hygiene which does bother me each time I’m there. There are no wipes or sprays available to wipe down the equipment. I thought we learned through covid how quickly things can spread and pire gym should do better to supply their members with the correct products.

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment.

Filthy gym with no hygiene facilities…
Filthy gym with no hygiene facilities for members to wipe equipment inbetween use. Often used as a youth club by juvenile delinquents, which is facilitated by the low staffing levels. Poor quality gym equipment.

Great building and machines , plenty of room . Need a few more pegs / clothes hangers in shower area

Improve showers
Gym itself is okay, always clean and staff seem rpesent and friendly. Good breadth of equipment, although a punch bag would be a nice addition. Main issue is the showers, theyre barely warm, rubbish pressure and a 30s timer. Genuinely brings the gym down so much not being able to have a decent shower after a workout.

Too many young kids that end up in this…
Too many young kids that end up in this gym makes it look tacky because of the price.
Using the place as a social club.
Always busy can’t use most of the machines too.
Equipment not always put back and showers not always clean.

Clean gym excellent friendly staff
Clean gym excellent friendly staff. I enjoy the classes very much however disappointed that the step class is no longer available on a Monday evening which was always fully booked up.

They refunded my payment saying I…
They refunded my payment saying I didn't have enough in my account when I still had £10 remaining after the payment they then charged me £30 to reactivate my account, happened to my other friends aswell seemed like a money ploy considering we joined when it opened so it was under discount.

Good vibe, good equipment. Lack of swimming pool, at Bangor a major draw-back, though. May well be switching to Fitness First for that reason.

We don't have pools as standard in our gyms as our focus is on providing quality fitness equipment while keeping costs affordable for all members.

I said it another time and I repeat…
I said it another time and I repeat now. There is a lot of noisy in the gym. When there are classes the staff speak very loud and the music too. The same for the general room, music too much high.
