First time at the gym
First time at the gym. I used the rowing machine and it took a while for the screen to come on. When it did come on I had to reset it, so I didn’t get an accurate as possible result. I will go again with my friend in the future.

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the lay out of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table. You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym

Broken scales in mens changing room
Used the bmi, health machine in the changing room. The height said I was 7 inches shorter and didn't even print out a ticket. Told a member of staff who seemed rather disinterested. Waste of £1.50. Completely get the machine is probably an external company and staff can't do much but if it's broken it shouldn't even be on.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are equally as disappointed when, from time to time, things go wrong and equipment has to be placed out of order. Regular maintenance checks are undertaken, and any issues identified are escalated to engineers straight away.
It would really help us if you could get in touch directly with the Gym Manager to provide more information (such as date and time or names etc.) so this can be investigated and addressed in club!

1. I wish when I was setting my account up that there would be an option to choose a student account (discounted). I didn’t know student accounts existed until after I signed up so it would’ve been useful to be notified of this upon signing up.
2. My specific pure gym has a designated parking lot, however there’s only one, easily missed sign informing about the fact that you need to put your registration number in when you come, otherwise you’d get fined for parking. It would’ve been useful to be notified of the need to put in my registration number upon signing up.

From the moment we pressed ‘click’ and joined our local PG in Bangor, north Wales, we have felt welcome, valued and included.
The app is excellent, everything is explained clearly, and functionality is very useful for gym-goers.
The car park is tidy and adequate for the membership. Access control works well (with optional backups) and the gym is really well-appointed in terms of dedicated training areas, equipment, weights and studio for high-energy, or reflective practice led classes.
The entire facility is spotlessly clean and kit appears well maintained. Ablutions, lockers, vending and social areas are adequate and well equipped.
So far, so good. In fact, we love our return to the gym, and are pleased we decided upon PG.
Worthy of a sincere Thank You/Diolch to the Bangor team!

Cable Weights and treadmills felt…
Cable Weights and treadmills felt really sluggish, lack of equipment for different muscle groups like back, plenty of space which was good but otherwise disappointed for the price of the day pass considering what there was to offer

Our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym.
Please do feel free to ask to switch in with a member while they rest between sets, this can also help you keep an even pace between sets. Thanks, PureGym

she was rude, and didnt help when help was needed, had more satisfaction watching us struggle by the foyer than actually coming to help

Staff were lovely
Staff were lovely, haven’t used the changing rooms or shower room yet but might in the future, there wasn’t a need for me. First ever time going and was a good vibe and brilliant atmosphere.

Great Gym shame about the limited parking.
The gym is great and has PT’s to help if you need it, and regular classes.
You can only spend two and a half hours in the gym as there is an outside parking company who runs the car park and fine you for staying in the gym over two and half hours. There is no way to extend this time. So if you are training to run a marathon distance you have no chance.
