Nice gym, good equipment but very frustrating when it's busy and benches/machines are being occupied by people on their phones!

I’ve been going to this gym for a few years and although it can be busy like any gym, I find the staff helpful and welcoming which is one of the main reasons I’ve never considered leaving for another... See more

Good atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Never gets too busy. Music could be a notch lower and temperature control a bit less warm.

As the title suggests there aren’t nearly enough machines or spaces in the gym. Every time I go no matter what time the machines are all taken up by people with more often than not ques forming for the machines. It seems practically pointless to be signed up for the gym when I feel like I have to wait 30 minutes in between each use of a machine. It’s awful.

Lovely gym, a wide range of equipment and the app is very helpful. The only bad thing I have to say it staff shortages on weekdays and no staff on weekends

There should be more disinfectants stationed everywhere. Especially where mats would be used.

I paid my membership fee on 31 march. At that time due to some technical issue on website I couldn’t apply promo code for zero joining fee. It’s so unfair to me that I had to pay 15 pound due to glitch on website.

A fantastic gym with a large selection of equipment. It's absolutely fabulous when it's quiet at the weekends or during the holidays.
My biggest complaint is that it gets insanely busy in the evenings when the students are around (which is understandable as it is near to lots of student accommodation). Sometimes I step into the gym and it seems like a waste of time even going, because every single piece of equipment is busy. It gets especially ridiculous when there are classes going on around 5pm, so the studio and other area are closed. Perhaps PureGym should set a limit for the amount of people in the gym at one time? Or limit the memberships for each gym?
It's great apart from the busy-ness though. Thanks!

Got a day pass to test this place out as on the hunt for a new gym, and glad I did. No cleaning gear to wipe down the machines anywhere - no spray, no blue roll, absolutely nothing - so the machines were caked in congealed sweat, hand/fingerprints, sweat drops, the works. Upon a quick look at Twitter, it seems Pure Gym have become the first U.K. gym to intentionally want their gyms to be grim, on the basis that they’re too cheap to pay for basic cleaning amenities, despite the company having a £300 million turnover, an £805 million refinancing completed last year, and plans to ‘expand significantly’.
Might want to focus on putting cleaning stations back in your gyms to retain your core membership, before you start trying to open new branches.

Why was the cleaning station on the first floor removed?>

Equipment left on floor. Gym very dirty with water bottles and tissue all over the floor. Music way to loud when staff around.
However on the plus the sink downstairs was working after 12 weeks of being out of order

Great staff, very motivational.
Would like more consistent variety of classes in the evening.

Wanted a refund for my 2nd month membership since I am no longer able to go to the gym since I paid for it and wasn’t able to cancel on time. However, instead of giving a refund to the customer you would rather eat up all the money. Good way to keep up your business.
