All equipment was fantastic, only thing is, there's no air con and in summer, going to the gym gets a bit too stuffy

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers so be sure to let a member of staff know if you have any concerns regarding this! Tired gym but great people
Gym is tired and needs a refresh a lot of the kit is old but the clients are great and I’ve made many friends there

The gym is in a bad state
The gym is in a bad state, constant issues with broken machines, lift, toilets, lockers and the smell in there can be very, very bad, it smells like a sewer, I think that the bosses have given up with this gym because they are in the process of opening a new one just down the road to replace this dated one, then I get an email saying that they are increasing the monthly prices by nearly 4 times inflation, that is pure greed because none of that money will be spent on the gym

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. At PureGym we work hard to provide our members with a safe, great value fitness experience at a low cost every day. To continue providing this, it is necessary that we increase membership fees from time to time which allows us to maintain the service, equipment and facilities in the gym. If the membership is set to increase all members will be contacted via email to confirm this change exactly 1 month in advance. Thanks, PureGym
I’ve been trying to join the gym for…
I’ve been trying to join the gym for more than a week.
The discount codes didn’t work, then I received a call from Pure Gym to set up the membership manually, but their system wasn’t working and they never called me back.
I had to send another email, then I received a second call today, and after 8 days they finally set up my membership. However, the discount code was still not applied correctly. Now I'll have to send another email asking to fix the error.
Really poor registration and discount service.

I have paid for a day pass and I…
I have paid for a day pass and I ridiculously struggled to enter the gym! Not fair to keep waiting for a PIN code to arrive to my email, and no one from the gym could help in anyway, no cell number to phone, nothing. Very disappointed to make all the way the to gym and I end up standing in-front of the gym for more than 30min with no success. Loads of trails and all failed to go through. I need to be refunded please.

Quite difficult to open the doors…
Quite difficult to open the doors (always ask for pin) I understand that you have App with QR but why not just make it a bit more easy, also no hot water in shower room. It was not busy but I always was in search of weights that I need. Nobody doing 45kg but a lot of people need 10,12 and 8… it really needs otherwise it’s just waste of time
In total all of this was not so bad) Thank you for opportunity to try))

As an online company, we don't have receptions. However, we have the cylinder POD doors that act as both an entrance and security system.
The POD doors monitor entrance with individual 8 digit code or via contactless entry through the QR code in app.
We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. The gym has experience has been neutral as I have struggled to find staff sometimes and I also got a parking ticket because I was unable to find the free parking spot

Bland boring atmosphere
It’s a strange set up, firstly they have enough benches, and alot of variety of equipments, it’s very bland and boring atmosphere, the music is quiet and not very motivating, the lighting is standard clinical white and there’s a few lights in there that flicker like crazy and it’s annoying as hell surprised nobody’s had epileptic fit.
To many cardio running machines they should work out a better way to lay out equipment within the facility. The changing rooms need abit of TLC. I think a lot needs to be done to get this to a comfortable standard but I have been spoiled with a great JD gym in rugby so this is all abit of a downgrade for me.
